METHOD FOR TREATING KERATIN MATERIAL
The object of the present disclosure is a method for treating keratinous material, in particular human hair, involving applying the following to the keratinous material a first composition (A) comprising, relative to the total weight of the composition (A) (A1) less than 10% by weight of water and (A2) one or more organic C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy silanes and/or their condensation products, and a second composition (B) comprising (B1) water and (B2) one or more terpenes.
USES OF WHITE ROSELLE EXTRACT FOR SKIN HYDRATING
A method for enhancing skin moisture of a subject in need thereof includes administering to the subject a composition including a white roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa cv.) extract. The white roselle extract is obtained by lysing a cell wall of a white roselle calyx by ice crystals and extracting the lysed white roselle calyx with a solvent.
Method for preparing solid forms of plant extract
A method for preparing stable liquid emulsion forms of plant extract is provided. A plant extract is mixed with a diluent oil as an oil mixture. Heat is applied to the oil mixture until the mixture reaches a threshold viscosity. An emulsifying agent is dispersed in water as an emulsifying solution. The oil mixture and emulsifying solution are mixed together. The mixed oil mixture and emulsifying solution are homogenized as a liquid form of the plant extract.
SPRAYABLE COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to sprayable compositions suitable for use in topical applications, for example, as sunscreen sprays. The sprayable compositions are alcohol-based. They include active agents, as well as a particular combination of film formers. The present invention also provides a method of using the sprayable compositions, and articles of manufacture containing the sprayable compositions.
Topical skin care formulations comprising plant extracts
A method of treating a skin condition resulting from exposure to pollution or free radicals is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to skin having the skin condition a composition comprising an effective amount of an extract of Diospyros mespiliformis leaf to reduce oxidative damage in the skin having the skin condition.
PROCESS FOR OBTAINING AN AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF LAVENDER, COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SUCH AN EXTRACT, AND THEIR COSMETIC USES
The invention relates to a process for obtaining an aqueous extract of lavender enriched with small RNAs of a maximum length of 150 nucleotides, with sugars, with phenolic compounds, with organic acids and devoid of DNA, obtained by the following process: the lavender aerial parts are brought into contact with water; phytic acid is added at a pH of between 10 and 11; the pH of the mixture obtained is then adjusted to a value of between 6 and 8, the mixture obtained is purified. The invention also relates to cosmetic compositions comprising such an extract and their cosmetic uses for protecting the skin from external aggression and oxidation, combating the signs of skin ageing, increasing photoprotection, lightening the skin, improving hydration, reinforcing the barrier function, soothing the skin or improving the biological mechanisms associated with skin repair during the night.
Use of alkanolamine alkylamides as humectants
The disclosure provides personal care compositions that comprise a compound of formula (I) wherein n is an integer from 2 to 5, R.sup.1 is independently H or C.sub.1-C.sub.3 alkyl and R.sup.2 is an unsubstituted linear or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl and a cosmetically acceptable vehicle. In particular, the compound of formula (I) is diglycolamine acetamide The composition may be used to moisturise skin or hair. ##STR00001##
Dissolvable fibrous web structure article comprising active agents
The personal care compositions of the present invention are in the form of an Article comprising a dissolvable fibrous web structure. The fibers of the dissolvable fibrous web structure comprise a surfactant; a water soluble polymeric structurant; and a plasticizer. Additionally the ratio of the water soluble water soluble polymeric structurant to the active agent in the fiber is 3.5 or less.
Methods for Manufacturing Arginine Dentifrice
Disclosed herein are improved methods for the manufacture of arginine-based dentifrice compositions comprising the use of a solution of arginine free base (e.g., L-arginine) in concentrated aqueous sorbitol solution.
HAIR TREATMENT METHOD
A hair treatment method comprising steps (1) to (5) to be performed in the following order: (1) a step of applying a first composition to hair, wherein the first composition is acidic and comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of glyoxylic acid, glyoxylic acid hydrates, glyoxylates, and glyoxyl amides; (2) a step of leaving the hair having the first composition applied thereto to stand; (3) a step of heating the hair with a high temperature heating device; (4) a step of applying a second composition to the hair, wherein the second composition comprises an oxidizing agent, has a pH of 0.5 or more and less than 8.0, and has a content of a dye component of less than 0.4% by mass; and (5) a step of leaving the hair having the second composition applied thereto to stand.
