A solid hair colouring composition includes (i) a hair conditioner concentrate; and (ii) a water soluble hair colouring.

Cosmetic or dermatological preparation containing a fish egg extract, characterized in that the fish egg extract is obtainable by suspending the fish eggs in an extraction mixture that contains an oil phase and an aqueous phase, homogenizing the suspension mixture, and extracting the oil phase of the homogenized mixture.

This invention relates to processes for making bio-based renewable oils from non-food biomass sources. Such renewable oils are used for cosmetics formulations. More specifically, disclosed are processes of preparation of furan-based compounds of the formula: (R.sub.1-A).sub.a—CH(R.sub.2)—CH.sub.2—CH(R.sub.3)(A-R1).sub.b wherein: a and b are independently 1 or 2 and 0 or 1; A is: independently an unsaturated, a partially hydrogenated, or a fully hydrogenated saturated fur an ring; —(CH.sub.2).sub.4—; a saturated fur an ring-opened moiety containing a hydroxyl or a ketonic group: —CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—OH or —CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—CH═O; or a partially saturated furan-ring opened moiety containing a hydroxyl or a ketonic group: —CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—CH═CH—OH or —CH.sub.2—CH═CH—CH═O where the position of the double bond is anywhere within the chain; R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 are: independently selected from H, a furan ring, a tetrahydrofuran ring and alkyl groups having carbon atoms of 1 to 18; and the total carbon content of the compound is from 10 to 40.

Methods, compositions and devices for customizing a cosmetic mask for application to an individual, the cosmetic mask comprising a gel-like formulation that, when heated, can be customized for specific application to the individual. The invention further provides for a semi-solid starting formulation comprising a solvent, a humectant, a thickener, an acid, water and an effective amount of agar, wherein the semi-solid starting formulation forms a hydrogel when heated. Specifically, the semi-solid starting formulation, once heated, is applied to the skin of an individual while still warm, then forming a gel-like material once the formulation is allowed to fully cool on the skin.

The present invention relates to a process for straightening and frizz reduction of hair which leaves hair in one part straight and volumeless and the remaining part may still have the curly appearance but not frizzy at all. It has been found out when treating hair at the parts where the straight appearance is preferred with a composition comprising higher concentration of hair straightening ingredient and straightening the said part with an iron at relatively higher temperature and treating the remaining parts with a composition comprising the same straightening ingredient at a lower concentration and treating the said parts with an iron at relatively lower temperature provides hair structures which appear to be straight and with low volume in one part which is the part closer to the scalp and, curly and voluminous but not frizzy at the remaining parts which is usually the lengths.

The invention relates to an extract of flowers, preferably calyxes, from kapok trees, in particular Bombax costatum, to a process for preparing same and to the extract obtainable by said process. The invention also relates to a composition comprising such an extract, the composition being advantageously a cosmetic, pharmaceutical or dermatological composition. The invention also relates to such a composition or such an extract for use in preventing or treating disorders or diseases of the skin, the mucous membranes or keratinous appendages and for use in preventing or treating vascular disorders. The invention finally relates to a cosmetic care process for the skin, the keratinous appendages or the mucous membranes, with a view to improving the condition thereof or the appearance thereof, which process consists in administering such a composition or such an extract.

A method and a system are described herein for preparing a custom cosmetic formulation. The system includes a controller in electronic communication with an order management system, wherein the order management system stores user-specific data including data related to a custom cosmetic formulation and components thereof, a plurality of valves for receiving pressurized fluid, the plurality of valves in electronic communication with the controller; a plurality of dispensers, each having a valve for metering fluid in predetermined quantities, and each having a dispensing head having a nozzle, each nozzle comprising a nozzle tip on a distal end thereof, wherein the nozzle tips are arranged so as to dispense a fluid into an inlet of a product receptacle, the dispensers in electronic communication with a data port; a measuring device in electronic communication with the controller, the measuring device capable of capturing data related to dispensed fluids from each of the plurality of dispensers and transmitting the data to the controller; a barcode scanner for reading order-specific instructions; a user interface for operator communication with the order management system and with the controller; a plurality of fluid conduits for introducing fluid to the dispensers; a fluid delivery apparatus for delivery of components of a custom cosmetic component to the dispensers; and a pressure source for pressurizing fluid in the fluid delivery apparatus for delivery of fluid from the fluid delivery apparatus to the plurality of dispensers.

Tools, systems, kits, and methods for both repairing and refreshing cosmetic makeups are discussed. One such tool may be a spatula. Other such tools may be press tools for pressing and compacting makeup. In some embodiments, such press tools may be double ended, with two different sized and/or different shaped presses per given press tool, with a handle between such different sized and/or such different shaped presses, to accommodate different sized and different shaped makeup pans. A container with repair-mousse, of a predetermined formula, may be used to treat broken and/or un-fresh makeup to repair and/or refresh such makeup to a desired consistency.

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a phase transfer cosmetic composition. According to the present disclosure, there can be provided a cosmetic composition which contains a wax having a melting point of 40 to 60 C. and an inulin-based surfactant, wherein the composition maintains a liquid state before applied to the skin and rubbed, and changes to a solid state when applied to the skin, can solve the problems in terms of hygiene and use because it is not used by scooping it by hand, and further, changes its phase to a solid state when applied to the skin and then rubbed, and thus, can solve the problem of dripping when applied to face or skin.
