ADHERED OBJECT REMOVAL METHOD
20190160629 · 2019-05-30 ·

A method for removing hard adhered objects is provided whereby adhered objects adhering to a jig in a film deposition process using crystal growth are efficiently removed while reducing damage to the jig. This adhered object removal method includes a step for preparing a jetting media with a lower hardness than the jig, a step for jetting the jetting media toward the jig, and a step for forming fracture starting points at the crystal grain boundary of the adhered object when the jetting media collides with the jig, then causing further collision of jetting media to cause the adhered object to dislodge at the crystal grain boundary.

Equipment for removing protective coatings from substrates

Apparatuses and systems that enable selective removal of protective coatings from substrates are disclosed. Such a material removal system may use pressurized solid carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) (i.e., dry ice) to remove a selected portion of a protective coating from a substrate. The material removal system may include one or more templates that provide selectivity in removing protective coatings from one or more substrates, fixtures for holding one or more substrates in place while material removal processes occur and apparatuses for positioning one or more substrates at desired locations in material removal systems.

Width and speed control for sheet metal descaler and methods of using same

A control for a sheet metal processing line with a descaler includes sensors that adjust the spray blast pattern produced by impellers and the sheet advancement rate during descaling. The control may position a nozzle of the impeller so when a surface condition of the edge of the sheet is more favorable than that of the center of the sheet, the impeller spray concentration moves toward the center, and when a surface condition of the center of the sheet is more favorable than that of a respective edge of the sheet, the impeller spray concentration moves away from the center of the sheet. The control may raise the sheet advancement rate when the surface condition of the center of the sheet is more favorable than a standard, and lower the sheet advancement rate when a surface condition of the center of the sheet is less favorable than a standard.

A bullet-carried rust removal mechanism and a rust removal device are provided. The bullet-carried rust removal mechanism includes bullets, the bullets can reciprocate linearly under the driving of an external driving mechanism to thereby repeatedly knock a surface to be derusted, and an end of each of the bullets away from the driving mechanism is a knocking portion for derusting conveniently. The bullet-carried rust removal mechanism has a relatively small volume and a position to be derusted can be accurately positioned during derusting.

Device for dispensing jets of cryogenic fluid, including a plenum chamber

The invention relates to a device for dispensing one or more jets of cryogenic fluid comprising a fluid supply pipe supplying one or more fluid-dispensing nozzles arranged downstream of said pipe, in which the fluid flow section of the fluid supply pipe has a first diameter. According to the invention, the device for dispensing one or more jets of cryogenic fluid also comprises at least one plenum chamber which is arranged between the fluid supply pipe and the fluid-dispensing nozzle(s) and which is fluidly connected to both the pipe and the nozzle(s). The fluid flow section of each plenum chamber has a second diameter greater than the first diameter of the fluid flow section of the fluid supply pipe.

SYSTEM FOR DRY CLEANING OF FOOD PROCESSING EQUIPMENT UTILIZING SALT PARTICLES OF SODIUM CARBONATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE AND CALCIUM PHOSPHATE AND METHODS OF DRY CLEANING USING THE SAME

Cleaning systems for food-related equipment and surfaces, such as, but not limited to, a steel belt baking surface, has a translatable and pivotable arm to position a discharge manifold over a surface to be cleaned. The arm has supply and return lines for a salt composition that includes one or more of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate and calcium phosphate and does not include a liquid component. The salt impinges the surface and kinetically and chemically cleans it. Discharged salt is collected by drawing the salt through the return line and to a filter unit. The translatable and pivotable arm can be composed of telescoping sections forming a telescoping conduit for the return line or can be composed of non-telescoping sections that form the return line. The cleaning system operates in an open loop mode.

An article of footwear is made by (a) providing a component having a contaminant on a receiving area of a surface; (b) blast cleaning the receiving area of the surface by propelling an abrasive alkali, alkaline earth, or ammonium compound in a pressurized gas stream against the receiving area; (c) applying a pressurized gas stream free of the abrasive compound, liquid water, and organic liquid to the receiving area to remove any residual abrasive compound from the receiving area of the surface to produce a cleaned receiving area; (d) applying a layer of material to the cleaned receiving area, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting of adhesives and coating compositions; and (e) incorporating the component into an article of footwear.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COATING REMOVAL

A method of removing a coating from a substrate comprises positioning a nozzle of an apparatus such that a longitudinal axis of a distal end of the nozzle is inclined at an angle ? with a coated surface of the substrate. The nozzle including an inner conduit having an orifice and an outer conduit coaxially arranged about the inner conduit and defining an annular opening between the inner and outer conduits. Directing a liquid stream through the orifice toward the coated surface and directing a gas flow through the annular opening such that the gas flow surrounds the liquid stream, and impinging the liquid stream on the coated surface.
