A DEVICE FOR CHANGING ABRADING PRODUCTS
The disclosed solution comprises a device for changing abrading products (30), the device (1) comprising a detacher (2) comprising a table (10), a blade (14) adapted to penetrate into between an abrading product (30) and the gripping means (34) of the abrading tool (4), and means (16, 18, 19) to co-planarly adjust the mutual distance (d) between the table (10) and the blade (14) to correspond to the thickness (t) of the abrading product (30) in the absence of the abrading product (30).
RELEASABLE TOOL ATTACHMENT MEANS FOR POWER TROWELS
A tool driver for a power trowel, the tool driver comprising a combination of a magnetic fastening arrangement and a friction based fastening arrangement for releasably holding an abrasive tool to the tool driver, wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is configured symmetrically around a rotational center of the tool driver, wherein the friction based fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased shear strength during abrasive operation of the tool, and wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased pull strength during lifting of the tool driver.
Automatic wet sanding apparatus
To change the direction of water flowing toward a painted surface so as to flow toward the center side of a hood, a water deflecting member is provided that extends toward the center side of the hood while extending toward the painted surface as seen in a state where automatic wet sanding is performed. Thus, water bouncing off the painted surface is less likely to scatter over a wide area of the painted surface, and sanding dust is also less likely to scatter over a wide area of the painted surface. As a result, it is possible to eliminate the need for the troublesome task of wiping off sanding dust remaining on the painted surface, and to achieve a quality finish on the painted surface.
Portable Drywall Sander Hub Assemblies with Apertured Backing Assemblies
A backerplate for a portable drywall sander hub assembly includes a mounting portion and a backerplate body. The mounting portion includes a threaded bore adapted to couple the backerplate to a sander hub. The backerplate body is connected to the mounting portion. The backerplate body forms a plurality of apertures therein positioned radially between an outer circumference of the backerplate body and the mounting portion. The plurality of apertures are adapted for dust to pass therethrough during operation of a drywall sander with the backerplate mounted thereto.
REPOSITIONABLE ABRASIVE DISC MOUNTING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A method for repositioning an abrasive disc within a repositionable abrasive disc mounting assembly is presented. The method includes mounting the abrasive disc to a repositionable abrasive disc mounting assembly in a first position. The mounting disc assembly includes the abrasive disc coupled to the back-up pad assembly such that the abrasive disc is in contact with a pressure feature of the back-up pad assembly, a drive shaft of a grinding tool, and a fastener that maintains the position of the abrasive disc and the back-up pad coupled to the drive shaft. The method also includes conducting an abrasive operation by activating the grinding tool. The method also includes re-positioning the abrasive disc, with respect to the repositionable abrasive disc mounting assembly, in a second position. The first position includes the abrasive disc in a first position relative to the pressure feature. The second position includes the abrasive disc in a second position relative to the pressure feature assembly. Re-positioning includes an adjustment between the first and second position while the abrasive disc is still positioned on the drive shaft between the fastener and the back-up pad assembly.
Tool attachment means for power trowels
A tool driver for a power trowel, the tool driver comprising a combination of a magnetic fastening arrangement and a hook and loop based fastening arrangement for releasably holding an abrasive tool to the tool driver, wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is configured symmetrically around a rotational center of the tool driver, wherein the hook and loop based fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased shear strength during abrasive operation of the tool, and wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased pull strength during lifting of the tool driver.
Grinding Tool Device, Grinding Means, and Grinding Tool System
An abrasion plate includes at least one backing unit including one of a support pad and a support plate. At least one fastening unit is configured to detachably fasten at least one abrasive selected from the group consisting of an abrasive paper and an abrasive fleece, to the at least one backing unit. The abrasion plate further includes at least one backing element on which the abrasive is arranged via the fastening unit when the abrasive is detachably fastened to the at least one fastening unit. The at least one backing element is made from a material having a melting temperature of more than 160° C.
Process for automated sanding of a vehicle component surface
A process for automated sanding of a vehicle component surface is provided and includes providing a sanding mechanism having a sanding head engaged with a housing, a rotary motor contained within the housing, the rotary motor having a drive shaft rotatable about an axis and extending outwardly therefrom, a radial plate attached to a first end of the drive shaft, and a sanding disk having an abrasive surface releasably attached to the radial plate; attaching the sanding head to a gimbal having a pressure sensor; powering the rotary motor driving rotation of the drive shaft, the radial plate and the sanding disk in at least one of a clockwise or counterclockwise direction; movably applying the sanding disk to the surface at a maintained constant pressure; and achieving a desired finish on the surface prepared to be primed and painted to a class A auto high sheen surface finish.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATIC CHANGING OF GRINDING MATERIALS
An apparatus includes: a receiving surface configured to receive a stack of grinding discs; a frame arranged substantially parallel to the receiving surface so that the stack of grinding discs is positioned between the receiving surface and the frame, the frame only partially overlapping an outer rim of a topmost grinding disc of the stack of grinding discs; and a mechanical pretensioning unit coupled with the frame such that a defined force is exerted by the frame on the stack of grinding discs.
