In a further embodiment, a grouting pan assembly includes a grouting pan having a post or mechanical fastener extending from a backside thereof for attachment to a reinforcing ring or layer.
ELECTRIC POWER TOOL
In an angle electric power tool 1 in which an output axis P intersects and is orthogonal to a motor axis J, a battery attachment portion 40 is provided to the rear of a grip 30 so as to extend in the rearward direction and a battery pack 50 is configured to be attached to an upper surface of said battery attachment portion 40. Because of this configuration, the battery pack 50 does not directly come into contact with a working surface W, thereby preventing flaws and scratches on the working surface W.
Method for manufacturing in series optical grade polishing tools
The method includes applying glue onto one surface of one component of the tool placed in a support of a first supporting member and/or onto one surface of another component of the tool placed in a support of a second supporting member while the support of the first supporting member and the support of the second supporting member are side by side; then driving the first supporting member and the second supporting member relative to one another to a second position where the support of the first supporting member and the support of the second supporting member are aligned; and then pressing the first supporting member and the second supporting member towards one another for applying onto each other the one surface of the one component and the one surface of the another component.
POROUS MATERIAL FOR POLISHING AND POLISHING TOOL HAVING THE SAME
An object of the present invention is to provide a porous material for polishing in which, during a polishing operation, it is possible to keep a proportion between abrasive grains in contact with an object to be polished and a resin portion in contact with the object to be polished within a certain range, even if an unskilled person attaches a polishing tool to an automated device and uses it, there is no need for complicated adjustment to stabilize the device, whereby it is possible to obtain precise surface accuracy. The above object is achieved by a porous material for polishing including an elastic foam having anisotropy, a polymer, and abrasive grains.
Method for manufacturing in series optical grade polishing tools
The method includes a step of applying glue including carrying out with a pad printing machine a sequence of steps in which is driven a transfer pad from a glue taking position to an applying position in which the distal surface of the transfer pad is in contact with one surface of one component of the tool and in which is simultaneously driven another transfer pad from a glue taking position to an applying position in which the distal surface of the another transfer pad is in contact with one surface of another component of the tool, whereby the glue is applied simultaneously to the one surface of the one component and to the one surface of the another component.
Grinding tool
A grinding tool includes a substrate having a surface provided with a plurality of openings, and a plurality of grinding studs. Each of the grinding studs includes a stud portion and an abrasive particle attached to each other, the stud portions being respectively attached into the openings, and the abrasive particles protruding outward from the surface, each of the abrasive particles having a pattern cut across a tip thereof to define multiple apexes adjacent to one another.
POLISHING PAD FOR A RELEASABLE ATTACHMENT TO A BOTTOM SURFACE OF A PLATE-LIKE BACKING PAD OF A POWER TOOL, BACKING PAD AND HAND-HELD POWER TOOL
The invention refers to a hand-held power tool (1) comprising a plate-like backing pad (9) with a bottom surface (9a) and a polishing pad (11) with a top surface (11a) for releasable attachment of the polishing pad (11) to the bottom surface (9a) of the backing pad (9). The power tool (1) further comprises an electric or pneumatic motor adapted for actuating the backing pad (9), in order to make the backing pad (9) together with the polishing pad (11) attached thereto perform a purely rotating, a random orbital or a roto-orbital working movement. In order to provide for an easy and fast positioning of the polishing pad (11) in respect to the backing pad (9) it is suggested that the bottom surface (9a) of the plate-like backing pad (9) comprises at least one protrusion (13a; 13b; 13c; 13d) protruding from the bottom surface (9a) of the backing pad (9) and the top surface (11a) of the polishing pad (11) comprises at least one corresponding recess (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d), wherein the at least one protrusion (13a; 13b; 13c; 13d) is received by the at least one recess (12a; 12b; 12c; 12d) when the polishing pad (11) is attached to the backing pad (9).
POLISHING PAD OF A HAND-HELD POWER TOOL AND POWER TOOL WITH SUCH A POLISHING PAD
The invention refers to a polishing pad (11) adapted for being detachably attached to a bottom surface (9a) of a plate-like backing pad (9) of a hand-held power tool (1). The backing pad (9) is actuated by an electric or pneumatic motor of the hand-held power tool (1), in order to perform a purely rotating, a random orbital or a roto-orbital working movement. The polishing pad (11) comprises a bottom working surface (11b) facing a workpiece to be polished during intended use of the power tool (1). It is suggested that the bottom working surface (11b) has at least two pieces (12, 13) of polishing material with different characteristics. A bottom working surface (13b) of at least one of the pieces (13) of the polishing pad (11) having a first characteristic extends beyond a bottom working surface (12b) of at least another of the pieces (12) of the polishing pad (11) having a different second characteristic. (FIG. 2)
Double-sided buffing pads with intertwined seams
Provided are buffing pads that have intertwined seams such that any hard or unyielding edges are covered and not exposed during a buffing or polishing process. A double-sided buffing pad for polishing surfaces comprises a backing plate; two fibrous buffing media with filaments of textiles extending therefrom that are affixed one media to each face of the backing plate; and a seam that is intertwined by a portion of the filaments from each media are intertwined. The filaments may be intertwined by needle-tacking, air entanglement, or hydro-entanglement.
