Clamping and spreading tool
A tool for providing a clamping force and a spreading force in the opposite direction of the clamping force. The tool includes a handle assembly having a trigger and a bar supported by the handle assembly. The bar is configured to move relative to the handle assembly when the trigger is actuated, and the bar includes a slot spanning from a first end of the bar to a second end of the bar. An inner rod is received within the slot, and a detent mechanism selectively couples the inner rod to the bar. The inner rod is received within the first end and coupled to the bar to provide the clamping force when the trigger is actuated, and the inner rod is received within the second end and coupled to the bar to provide the spreading force when the trigger is actuated.
Ratcheting Spreader System
A ratcheting spreader system includes a construction frame that has a pair of lateral arms. A spreader has a first half is slidably coupled to a second half. The spreader includes an urging unit extending between the first half and the second half. The urging unit may be manipulated thereby spacing the first half a selected distance from the second half. The spreader is selectively positioned between the lateral arms such each of the first half and the second half engages an associated one of the lateral arms. The urging unit urges each of the lateral arms a precise distance apart from each other. Thus, the lateral arms may be secured during construction.
Brake pad spreader tool
A hand held brake pad spreader tool for use with a brake caliper (90) of the kind having a sliding caliper body supporting an opposed pair of brake pads arranged to sandwich a brake disc and a piston (92) for clamping the brake pads against the brake disc. The tool comprising a body (20); a handle (22) on the body; an abutment on the body for engaging the caliper body; an elongate member (40) supported by the body for longitudinally sliding movement relative thereto, the elongate member having a piston engagement means (50) for engaging the piston; a manually actuable moveable member (30) supported on the body adjacent to the handle; and drive means (60) coupled between the moveable member (30) for moving the elongate member (40) longitudinally from a first retracted position to a second driving position in which the piston engagement means is in driving engagement with the piston when the abutment is in engagement with the caliper body to move the piston to spread the brake pads apart. At least a portion of the elongate member in driving engagement with the piston is mounted in the body for free rotation both clockwise and anti-clockwise. The tool further comprises means for rotating the portion of the elongate member.
Clamp
Embodiments generally relate to a clamp. In one embodiment, the clamp includes a bar, and a first jaw, movable along the bar and positioned on a first side of the bar. The clamp also includes a second jaw positioned on the bar on a second side of the bar, opposite the first side. The clamp also includes an actuator for moving the first jaw toward the second jaw for clamping one or more workpieces, and the actuator includes one or more drive plates operatively coupled to the bar when the first jaw is in a driving mode.
CLAMP
The present invention provides a clamp, comprising a first clamp body, a second clamp body and a shank. The shank is configured to be passed through the first clamp body and the second clamp body. The clamp further comprises a stepping mechanism and a locking/unlocking mechanism. The stepping mechanism is comprised of a first handle, a second handle, driving sheets and a first elastic member. The first handle is pivotably mounted to the second clamp body by a pivot located on the first handle, and is configured to cooperate with the second handle. Driving sheets are mounted to the shank and contact a contact portion arranged on the first handle. A first elastic member is arranged to provide a pre-tightening force to the driving sheets to enable the driving sheets to be kept in constant contact with the contact portion, in which the pivot and the contact portion are located on the upper side of the shank. Raising the position of the pivot is beneficial to generate a larger clamping force. The clamp further comprises an adjusting mechanism for adjusting an idle stroke of the first handle, which lowers the requirement for the blanking precision of the driving sheets so as to save time and costs for the production while in the meantime generates a larger clamping force.
UNILATERAL SPINAL CORD COMPRESSION
An apparatus for unilateral spinal cord compression includes a fixed member and a movable member that moves longitudinally along the fixed member by using a linear actuating mechanism to compress a portion of spinal cord encompassed by the movable member and the fixed member.
DEVICE FOR MOUNTING WALL OBJECTS
The present invention relates to a device for mounting wall objects. The device has a vertical member and a horizontal member attached to one another along a fold line. The vertical member has a wall-facing side that engages and is secured to a wall or surface by receiving connection members through one or more mounting holes. The horizontal member, in some arrangements, has a pair of flanges that form a gap along an outer end opposite the fold line. A pair of spaced-apart support braces that form a slot extend generally down the middle between the horizontal and vertical member. The slot allows for the reception of a brace or clamp that can be held in place by inserting a locking pin through aligned sets of locking holes and through either a brace hole in the brace or a fixing hole in a transverse hole of the clamp.
Mitre joint support
A support for a mitre joint uses two wedging mechanisms disposed at a characteristic angle. Each wedging mechanism is arranged to locate inside a hollow rail, such as within an extruded hollow beam. The wedging mechanism can be operated from outside the joint in order to clamp the mechanism in position. The mechanism has a self centering capability to assist in accurately locating the rails relative to each other.
Detachable blocking device, in particular on a clamping tool
A detachable blocking device, in particular on a clamping tool, having a blocking element, which blocks the displacement capability of a rod in at least one detachment direction in a blocking position, and a detachment member, which displaces the blocking element into a release position when moved from a default position into a detachment position, in which release position the rod can be displaced at least in the detachment direction. A brake element, in a braking position, acts on the rod so that the rod can only be displaced after neutralization of a braking force acting against the displacement direction of the rod, which braking force does not have to be neutralized in a sliding position of the brake element. The brake element has a brake lever and/or can be brought into its sliding position by pivoting an arm of the detachment member having a detachment lever.
OBJECT SECURING DEVICE
The disclosure presented herein relates to a clamp, vice, clasp or similar structure with an upper and lower jaw capable of gripping a surface. In use the jaws are separated and placed around the surface before being closed and tightened such that the clamp, vice, clasp reversibly grips the surface. A cord, strap, leash or similar structure is attached to the clamp. A spring loaded plastic toggle is attached to the end of the cord, strap, leash or similar structure. In use the cord, strap, leash or similar structure is secured around an item with the spring loaded plastic toggle. As the cord, strap, leash or similar structure is secured to the clamp the item is also secured to the clamp and the surface.
