Coating For Cutting Implement
A cutting implement including a metal substrate and a coating is provided. The coating has zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO), which provides protection against corrosion of the metal substrate. In some instances, the zirconium PVD provides protection from corrosion for at least 200 hours. A layer of titanium nitride (TiN) can be added to the coating to increase the hardness of the metal substrate. In such an embodiment, the layer of titanium nitride (TiN) is applied before the zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO). Titanium nitride (TiN) coated steel is 3 to 5 times harder than uncoated steel. Thus, a combination of titanium nitride (TiN) and zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO) as a coating on a metal substrate can increase the life of the metal substrate by providing increased hardness and anti-corrosive properties.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLIERS
An apparatus including a first pliers handle having a first end and a second end; a second pliers handle having a first end and a second end; a first pivot pin which connects the first pliers handle, at a location between the first end and the second end of the first pliers handle and the second pliers handle at a location between the first end and the second end of the second pliers handle; and a first belt having teeth. The first belt having teeth may be configured to rotate while the first pliers handle remains stationary with respect to the second pliers handle. The first belt having teeth may be configured to be detached from the first pliers handle and the second pliers handle. The apparatus may include a motor located for rotating first belt while the first pliers handle remains stationary with respect to the second pliers handle.
Manual hydraulic multi-functional extra-high-voltage insulating gear gripper pliers stick for live-wire work and indirect live-wire construction method using pliers stick
The present invention relates to a manual hydraulic multi-functional extra-high-voltage insulating gear gripper pliers stick for live-wire work and the pliers stick and, more specifically, to a manual hydraulic multi-functional extra-high-voltage insulating gear gripper pliers stick for live-wire work and an indirect live-wire construction method using the pliers stick, which: allow components or the like, which are installed on and removed from an electric pole in order to perform electric wire-stringing work or fix electric wires, to be remotely constructed by means of the indirect live-wire work while maintaining a safe distance from live wires when constructing power distribution equipment in an extra-high-voltage live-wire state; ensure safety by eliminating risks due to instability during work, said instability occurring due to the intensity of the labor and the physical limitations of the workers; and bring about improvements in utilization efficiency.

Cable Grasping Tool
A cable grasping tool for grasping brake and derailleur cables includes a pair of handles that is rigid. The handles are pivotally coupled and arcuate, such that the handles are opposing. Each of a pair of jaws is coupled to and extends from a first end of a respective handle. Each of a plurality of grasps is coupled to an inner edge of a respective jaw. The grasps are configured to selectively couple a brake cable and a derailleur cable of a velocipede. The handles are positionable with the jaws in an open configuration, such that a cable is insertable between the jaws. The handles are configured for inward pivoting by action of a user's hand, such that the plurality of grasps engage the cable and facilitate manipulation of the cable by the user.
UNIVERSAL TOOLS
A universal tool which can be a screwdriver, wrench, pliers, or any other tool. The tool can operate on an object (e.g., a screw, bolt, etc.) of any shape because of a set of pins that can mold to match a shape of the object. For example, a same universal screwdriver has pegs which mold themselves to match a shape of a slotted screw head or mold themselves to match a shape of a philips screw head. A user of the universal screwdriver can then turn such screw by turning the universal screwdriver in a standard fashion. When the universal screwdriver is removed from the object, then the pegs automatically revert themselves to a default position so a different shaped screw head can then be operated on.
JEWELRY MANDREL PLIERS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
The present invention provides a mandrel tool and method for more efficiently and consistently forming various shapes of material. In one embodiment of the invention, a pair of pliers having mandrel jaws that are shaped with a uniform cross sectional area throughout a length of the mandrel jaw is used to replace the traditional tapered mandrel. Because the mandrel jaws have a uniform cross sectional area, the wire, for example, can be wrapped multiple times around the mandrel jaw when it is desired to produce multiples of the same shape. For added versatility, the pliers can have opposing mandrel jaws, with different size cross sectional area.
Fastener structure for pliers
A fastener structure for pliers contains: a first connecting arm, a second connecting arm, and a slidable fastener. The first connecting arm is rotatably connected with the second connecting arm to form a griping segment and a working segment and includes a holder which has two guiding rails. The first connecting arm also includes a first notch and a second notch, and the second connecting arm includes a locking seat. The slidable fastener is hollow and retains with the holder, and the slidable fastener includes two guide posts, a positioning plate, and an elastic locker mounted on the positioning plate to alternatively retain with the first notch or the second notch, such that when the elastic locker retains with the first notch, the positioning plate limits the locking seat, and when the elastic locker retains with the second notch, the positioning plate releases the locking seat.

HIGH LEVERAGE LOCKING PLIERS
High leverage locking-type pliers incorporating a four bar linkage system adapted to amplify force applied by the user to an object gripped between jaws of the pliers. The pliers include first and second handles, first and second jaws, and a center link rotatably or pivotally coupled to the first and second handles. A first link pivot where the center link rotatably or pivotally couples to the second handle may be a first distance L1 away from a second jaw pivot where the second jaw rotatably or pivotally couples the second handle. A first jaw pivot where the second jaw rotatably or pivotally couples the first handle is a second distance L2 away from the second jaw pivot. In an embodiment, the first distance L1 is about 34% to about 70% of the second distance L2.
