SHEAR WRENCH TOOL
A shear wrench tool including an electric motor, an output section having first and second output sleeves and a transmission for transferring torque from the motor to the output section wherein in use the output sleeves are caused to be rotated in opposite directions relative to each another, the first output sleeve configured for mating with a nut and the second output sleeve configured for mating with a tip of a bolt to be sheared; the shear wrench tool further comprising an ejection mechanism having a first impact part which is both rotationally and axially movable and which has a first active surface, a second impact part which is rotationally restricted but axially movable and which has a second active surface, the ejection mechanism also having biasing means for urging the first active surface into engagement with the second active surface.
SHEAR WRENCH TOOL
A shear wrench tool including an electric motor having a motor output shaft, a transmission having a plurality of planetary gear stages and an output section having first and second output sleeves the first output sleeve being configured for mating with a nut and the second output sleeve being configured for mating with a tip of a bolt to be sheared, wherein the electric motor is configured to provide torque via the transmission to the output section for causing the first and second output sleeves to be rotated in opposite directions relative to each other in use, and wherein the electric motor, the transmission and the output section are arranged in an axial sequence one after the other such that the first and second output sleeves circumferentially extend coaxially around the same axis that the motor output shaft and the planetary gear stages rotate about.
SLEEVE ASSEMBLY FOR SHEAR WRENCH TOOL
A sleeve assembly for a shear wrench tool including an output sleeve configured to mate with a nut to facilitate winding of the nut onto a threaded bolt and having a plurality of circumferentially arranged locking features for interlocking with those of a transmission sleeve. A transmission sleeve for transferring torque between the output sleeve and at least one feature of a shear wrench tool transmission section. The transmission sleeve has a first set of circumferentially arranged locking features for interlocking with the locking features of the output sleeve and a second set of circumferentially arranged locking features for cooperating with a locking sleeve. A locking sleeve coupled to the output sleeve in a manner which permits the locking sleeve to rotate between first and second rotational positions relative to the output sleeve.
METHOD OF SETTING TAPPET CLEARANCE AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Even in the case where, due to distortion (undulation) or the like of an end surface of an adjusting screw abutting on a valve stem end, there exists a non-linear undulation movement amount in a movement amount of the end surface with respect to a rotation return angle of the adjusting screw, the undulation movement amount is continuously measured, and a screw return movement amount based on a screw pitch and on the rotation return angle is continuously calculated, and, when a total movement amount of the undulation movement amount and the screw return movement amount has attained a prescribed clearance, return rotation is ended.
Tool-change stations
A tool-change station includes a base, and a first tool-change member that is coupled to the base and is rotatable relative to the base. The first tool-change member includes a first tool-engagement portion, geometrically complementary with a tool-change-engagement portion of a tool of a rotary drive.
Apparatuses for coupling threaded fasteners
A rotary-drive sub-assembly includes a tool and a tool retainer. The tool includes a first body and a second body. The first body includes a tool-change-engagement portion and a first threaded portion that is fixed relative to the tool-change-engagement portion. The second body includes a fastener-engagement portion. The second body is translatable relative to the first body, co-axially with the first body, and is co-axially rotationally fixed relative to the first body. The tool further includes a keeper, fixed within the first body, and a resilient member, captured between the second body and the keeper. The tool also includes a tool retainer, including a second threaded portion, configured to be threadably fastened with the first threaded portion of the first body, and a key, fixed relative to the second threaded portion.
Wrench assembly with floating torque bodies
A wrench assembly comprising an upper clamp assembly, a lower clamp assembly coupled to the upper clamp assembly, and an alignment device disposed between the upper and lower clamp assemblies to allow the upper clamp assembly to move laterally relative to the lower clamp assembly when rotated relative to the lower clamp assembly.
FASTENING SOCKET FOR ASSEMBLING STRUCTURES AND ASSOCIATED ATTACHMENT
The present invention concerns a fastening socket (112) for assembling at least two previously drilled structures, said socket comprising a substantially cylindrical body (34) and an enlarged head (35); said enlarged head comprising first mounting surfaces (42, 46) suitable for being assembled to a first installation component and for preventing said first installation component from rotating about the main axis. The socket comprises a first substantially cylindrical recess (40) extending along the main axis from the first end, said first recess ending at a planar shoulder (44) substantially perpendicular to said main axis, the first recess and the planar shoulder being received inside the enlarged head, the first mounting surfaces (42, 46) being formed by an inner surface of the first recess.
Fastening System
A fastening system including a frame, a movement control assembly, a fastener drive assembly and a collar presenting assembly. The frame can be coupled to an outside structure, for example, with a part that is to be coupled with a fastener attached to the frame. The movement control assembly is configured to controllably move the fastener drive assembly relative to the frame and the part so as to grasp the collar of the fastener, engage the threaded pin of the fastener and to threadedly engage the two structures together. The collar presenting assembly presents a collar of a fastener to the fastener drive assembly.
Interchangeable, Debris Insensitive and Non-Slipping Reaction Torque Transfer System
Interchangeable reaction washer initially penetrates with outward bottom serration edges only during manual pre tightening. Slippage is thereby avoided at begin of the consecutive power torque wrench assisted full tightening of the nut and/or bolt head resting on it. As the load ramps up, the reaction washer flattens out and the bottom serrations gradually penetrate radially inwards. Reaction and actuation sockets of varying sizes matching a broad range of reaction washers and nut and/or bolt heads may be interchangeably snapped on a reaction coupling connected to the torque wrench housing. A clearance undercut underneath the reaction washer torque receiving flanges absorbs eventual debris to further assist unimpeded and fast coupling of the system. Radially oriented contact faces between reaction washer and reaction socket provide a snug contact unaffected by their toroidal movement during washer flattening and a force transfer free of radial force components.
