A ball joint press includes a first frame including a first member and a first adaptor, and a second frame including a second member and a second adaptor. A link is pivotally coupled to the first member and to the second the second member. An actuating screw is rotatably coupled to the first member and to the second member. Rotation of the actuating screw in a first rotational direction causes the first member and second member to undergo a first pivoting action relative to the link to move the first adaptor toward the second adaptor. Rotation of the actuating screw in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction causes the first member and second member to undergo a second pivoting action relative to the link, opposite to the first pivot action, to move the first adaptor away from the second adaptor.

A slip-on adapter that is adapted to be coupled to existing adapters that have already been developed. The slip-on adapter couples to existing adapters by positive retention on either the outside diameter or inside diameter of the existing adapter. For example, the slip-on adapter can include an O-ring that grips the outside diameter of the existing adapter that it is slipped onto. The slip-on adapter can also be used as a “flip adapter” with different geometries at both ends for use with two different size ball joints. This allows for less expensive adapters for new size ball joints by connecting to existing adapters, rather than requiring full machining of a new adapter.

Dust cover installation tool configured for placement of a dust cover in an annular opening of an idler pulley includes a frame and a cap press. The frame includes an actuator end core, an opposed placement plate, and at least first and second arms extending therebetween, and a third arm disposed between the first and second arms. The cap press includes a press plate and a rotatable threaded rod extending through a threaded bore in the actuator end core. Rotation of the threaded rod in a first direction within the threaded bore advances the press plate toward the placement plate.

The wheel puller with adjustable separation angle and separation distance may comprise a center assembly, a left pull arm, and a right pull arm. The wheel puller may be operable to pull a wheel off of a hub of a vehicle by coupling a left wheel hook and a right wheel hook to holes on the wheel and pressing a hub rest located on the center assembly against the hub of the wheel. When a threaded shaft of the center assembly is turned the left wheel hook and the right wheel hook may pull the wheel away from the vehicle. A separation angle between the left pull arm and the right pull arm and a separation distance between the left wheel hook and the right wheel hook may be changed such that the wheel puller may accommodate various sizes and configurations of wheels.

A method of manufacturing a vehicle suspension component includes inserting a cover body into an aperture of a housing, the cover body being disposed about a central axis concentric with the aperture of the housing, the cover body having a convex side and a concave side and an outer perimeter disposed about the central axis, the cover body defining a threaded bore concentric with the central axis, and deforming the cover body into retaining engagement with the housing by pressing against the convex side until the cover body is at least partial deformed and the outer perimeter is expanded compared to a pre-deformed state of the cover body.

AN INSTALLATION TOOL FOR A FIXING PIN AND AN INSTALLATION METHOD

An installation tool and installation method for fixing pins. In the mounting tool a cavity is provided in a tube body for accommodating a plurality of fixing pins. A first sliding groove and a second sliding groove are provided opposite each other and connected to the cavity. A first opening and a second opening are provided in two ends of the tube body. A pressing pin passes through the sliding grooves and is movably arranged on the tube body. The driving nut is adapted to driving the pressing pin to move towards the second opening.

Various implementations described herein are directed to a device having a puller tool assembly for removing a wear sleeve from a tail-rotor hub assembly of a rotorcraft. The puller tool assembly may have an interior shaft slidably engaged within an exterior cylindrical body. The puller tool assembly may have a restraint cap coupled to the interior shaft at a first end of the exterior shaft with a fastener. The puller tool assembly may have a mandrel coupled to the interior shaft at a second end of the exterior shaft. The exterior cylindrical body may be inserted within the wear sleeve between the restraint cap and the mandrel. The mandrel may expand to grasp the wear sleeve when the exterior shaft is tightened so as to pull the wear sleeve toward the restraint cap.
