A hand-held knockout driver includes a main housing having a handle portion, a motor positioned within the main housing, a pump assembly driven by the motor, and a secondary housing coupled to the main housing and defining a bore therein. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a working piston moveable within the bore from a rest position to an actuated position to define a piston throw distance therebetween. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a draw stud coupled to the working piston, a die coupled to the secondary housing, and a punch coupled to the draw stud opposite the working piston for movement therewith relative to the die. The die has a depth greater than the piston throw distance.
Portable hand held power tool with interchangeable head
Portable, hand held, battery operated, hydraulic tools are provided with a tool frame and one or more interchangeable working heads. When the working head is connected with the tool frame, a piston actuated by a hydraulic system within the tool frame applies force to the working head to perform a task. A coupling mechanism holds the working head to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism allows the working head to be removed from the tool frame and another working head to be joined to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism can hold the working head at a fixed rotational angle with respect to the tool frame. The coupling mechanism can also allow the working head to rotate with respect to the tool frame.
Deflection compensating press tools
Press tools and particularly crimp tools having a C-frame tool head are described which are configured such that upon a typical use load, the C-frame head deflects to a position in which mating components or surfaces are aligned. Also described are C-frame heads that utilize a particular deflection compensating engagement connection between a piston and a ram die holder. In addition, various methods of compensating for deflection are described. The use of such configurations, engagement connections, and methods enables such tools to be formed from lighter weight materials and/or to incorporate weight optimization designs.

The present disclosure relates to a linear actuator including drive means for driving a movable component assembly for actuating a tool controlled by an electronic module. In exemplary embodiments, the module comprises acquisition means for acquiring a quantity that is representative of the instantaneous force supplied by the drive means and/or the time derivative of this variable, and the electronic module is capable of controlling interruption means for interrupting the operation of the drive means if the variable does not exceed a first predetermined value during a first predetermined time period from the start of the driving of the movable component assembly, and/or if the derivative does not exceed a second predetermined value during the first predetermined time period from the start of the driving of the movable component assembly.

A terminal locator for a hand tool includes a base, a magnet, and a holder attached to the base and rotatable with respect to the base between an open position and a closed position. The holder has a magnet passageway and a resilient latch retaining the magnet in the magnet passageway.

A terminal holding device, a crimping hand tool and a method of positioning a terminal in a die assembly of a crimping hand tool. The terminal holding device includes a base having at least one slot provided therein. A terminal holder is movably mounted on the base. The terminal holder has terminal receiving areas for receiving terminals therein. The terminal holder has at least one mounting projection extending therefrom. The at least one mounting projection of the terminal holder is positioned in the at least one slot of the base. The at least one slot is configured to allow the at least one mounting projection to be moved in a linear direction relative to the base and rotated in the slots, allowing the terminal holder and the terminals to be properly positioned relative to the crimping hand tool.
Crimping tool
A crimping tool is provided. The crimping tool includes a stationary jaw and a movable jaw. The movable jaw is arranged adjacent the stationary jaw, the movable jaw being movable from an open position to a closed position. A linkage is operably coupled to the movable jaw on one end, the linkage rotatable about an axle. A first input member is operably coupled to the linkage to rotate the linkage about the axle, the first input member rotating about a first axis. A second input member is operably coupled to the linkage to rotate the linkage about the axle, the second input member rotating about a second axis, the second axis being substantially perpendicular to the first axis.

A power tool operable with an exchangeable tool head, and comprising a tool body, and a hydraulic cylinder with a main piston A quick coupling system is arranged at a free end of the tool body and includes an actuation unit and a locking unit movable by the actuation unit between a released position and a locked position to secure the exchangeable head to the tool body. Thee locking unit comprises a first and a second half-ring radially movable between the released position and the locked position. When in the locked position the locking unit is adapted to secure the exchangeable head to the tool body, such that transmission forces can be exchanged between the exchangeable head and the main piston. When in the released position the locking unit is adapted to release any force applied to the exchangeable head to remove the exchangeable head.
Crimping pliers, group of crimping pliers and use of a die half
The invention relates to crimping pliers (1) having a pliers jaw (4) on which a die half (22) is supported. A crimping force biasing the die half (22) is sensed in the crimping pliers by a force sensor. The force sensor is a piezo foil (36) mounted to the pliers jaw. The force sensor senses the whole crimping force or only a crimping force component from which it is then possible to calculate the whole crimping force.
PRESSING JAWS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRESSED PART, AND METHOD FOR PRESSING WITH PRESSING JAWS
Pressing jaws are opposingly arranged in pressing pliers. Each pressing jaw has ribs with a longitudinal extension which is transverse to an entry direction of the ribs into entry openings of the other pressing jaw. A pressing mouth has a pressing opening with an opening contour formed by free marginal edges of the ribs. The ribs form an intersection of the opening contour that moves in the direction of the longitudinal extension during a pressing operation. A supplemental pressing part forms part of the opening contour and is arranged so as to cover several ribs and overlap the intersection. A method of use is also provided.
