A tool and method for replacing or installing components in a confined, interior space of a plumbing faucet valve assembly. The tool comprises a hollow body having a first end and a second end. The first end has an inner diameter and an outer diameter, and the second end has an inner diameter and an outer diameter, wherein the outer diameter of the first end is smaller than the outer diameter of the second end, thus forming a lip or flange proximal the first end for a purpose of engaging a plumbing faucet component for ease of installation during repair or replacement of the component in a plumbing faucet. The tool is manipulated by simply sliding it over the shaft of a screwdriver or other implement during operation. The tool facilitates proper alignment and installation of the replacement components into the confined interior space of the faucet.

Steering shock compressor systems and methods

A shock compression tool has a first end assembly defining a main axis and a first engaging surface, a second end assembly the second end assembly defining second and third engaging surfaces. The second end assembly is supported for movement along the main axis relative to the first end assembly. A drive system displaces the second end assembly along the main axis relative to the first end assembly such that a distance between the first engaging surface and the second engaging surface may be altered, and a distance between the first engaging surface and the third engaging surface may be altered. The first engaging surface and the second engaging surface define a first reference line. The first engaging surface and the third engaging surface define a second reference line. At least a portion of the first reference line is spaced from at least a portion of the second reference line.

A method and tool assembly (10) for unloading and reloading spring energy from a torsion bar (11) in a torsion bar suspension system of a motor vehicle. The tool assembly (10) includes a generally C-shaped body (14) having a screw shaft (24) threaded through a boss (22) in a lower section (18) thereof. An anti-rotation stem (38) includes a knurled flat face (40) which increases versatility of the tool assembly (10) by enabling anti-slip operation with various vehicle types. A counter-torque tool perch (46) extends from the lower section (18) of the tool body (14) for applying a counter-rotational torque to the body (14) during use of the tool assembly (10).

A device to apply a rotational force to a spring of a rollup or overhead garage door counterbalancing mechanism. The device has a rotatable driven member mounted in a housing. The housing and the driven member have slots with an open end adapted to receive the shaft of the overhead garage door counterbalancing mechanism. A coupling member is configured to mount to the driven member and connect the driven member to the winding cone of a garage door spring to apply rotational force to the spring. The housing with the driven member may be connected to the body of an existing power tool in place of the original tool head, or, the housing may be permanently combined with a motor and transmission to provide a special purpose tool.

Assembly method and assembly device for suspension device of vehicle and mixed model production line

A coil spring is interposed between a vehicle body and a suspension member which is elastically and swingably supported by the vehicle body and supports a wheel. The suspension member and a vehicle part attached to the vehicle body are connected by a fastening member. The orientation of the suspension member with respect to the vehicle body is forcibly changed so as to increase the distance between the vehicle body and the suspension member at a coil spring interposition portion. An excessive change in the orientation of the suspension member is restricted by the fastening member, and a coil spring is inserted between the vehicle body and the suspension member.

An apparatus to install or remove tension coil springs from spring seat. Apparatus spans beyond the length of a tension coil spring allowing connection to spring ends with a loop and or hook on a threaded shaft. Applying a turning force to threaded shaft will stretch spring to a longer length allowing removal of spring from spring seat. A turning force in opposite direction retracts spring to shorter length allowing installation of spring to spring seat.
