DRIVING-IN DEVICE
An apparatus for driving fastening elements into an underlying surface has a setting duct, an energy transmission element, movable in a fastening direction in the setting duct, for transmitting energy to each of the fastening elements, and a magazine, having a transport duct for transporting the fastening elements in a transporting direction to the setting duct, wherein the magazine comprises a slider, displaceable in the transporting direction along the transport duct and has a feeding element, movable between a transporting position and a passage position, wherein the feeding element projects into the transport duct in the transporting position to apply a force in the transporting direction to the fastening elements, wherein the feeding element opens the transport duct for the fastening elements in the passage position, and wherein the slider has a release spring, the feeding element toward the passage position and is supported on the slider.
Dry-fire lockout mechansim for a powered fastener driver
A powered fastener driver includes a magazine configured to receive fasteners, a pusher slidably coupled to the magazine, a nosepiece coupled to the magazine, and a workpiece contact element movable with respect to the nosepiece. The powered fastener driver further includes a lockout member pivotally coupled to the nosepiece, and a magnet exerting a magnetic force on the lockout member to bias the lockout member toward a first position. The pusher moves the lockout member to a second position where the lockout member blocks movement of the workpiece contact element when a predetermined number of fasteners remain in the magazine.
NAIL BOX COMPONENT, NAIL GUN, AND METHOD FOR REPLACING NAIL BOX COMPONENT OF NAIL GUN
The present disclosure relates to a modular fastener gun comprising at least a gun body that can accept any number of fastener cartridges using a same connection assembly mechanism. In one example, a fastener cartridge comprises a fastener box used to hold fasteners, the fastener box including a first alignment structure and a second alignment structure, the first alignment structure used to detachably connect the fastener cartridge to a fastener gun body, and the second alignment structure used to lock the fastener cartridge to the gun body. In this way, a plurality of fastener cartridges that each can house different fastener types, can readily be used with a same fastener gun.
Power Tool Having Latched Pusher Assembly
A magazine for use with a fastening tool. The magazine can have a pusher assembly that can be retracted into a recess in the magazine to facilitate loading and reloading of fasteners. The pusher assembly can have a pusher assembly knob which can be reversibly latched to a detent to maintain the pusher assembly in a retracted state. The fastening tool can use a magazine which can be reloaded by a method which has a step of reversibly retracting the pusher assembly into the retracted state to allow for feeding one or more fasteners to the magazine.
Multi-Fastener Supply Depletion Indicator
Coil nails and similar fasteners to be driven by an automatic nailing tool have at least two different visual appearances after driving. Fasteners driven from a fresh magazine have a first visual appearance, and fasteners driven thereafter from the same magazine have a second, different visual appearance. A magazine may include fasteners having three or more different appearances. Preferably, all of the different appearances are grouped together so that all of the first appearance fasteners are driven, then all of the second appearance fasteners, and so on, until the last fastener having the last appearance is driven. Visual differences may be in color, size, shape, surface texture, or another characteristic.
POWERED FASTENING DEVICE WITH COLLATION TEAR SAFETY SWITCH
A powered fastening device is capable of driving a fastener into a work piece and automatically preventing the device from firing until a fastener is located in an appropriate position within the device.
POWERED FASTENING DEVICE WITH DEPTH SHUTOFF
A powered fastening device is provided and is capable of applying multiple strikes to a fastener to drive the fastener to a preselected depth in a work piece and then automatically stopping the strikes when the preselected depth has been achieved.
DRIVING TOOL
A driving tool includes an electric motor, a battery mount that receives a battery for powering the electric motor, a flywheel that rotates by the electric motor, a magazine that loads a connected fastener rolled in a coil and including a plurality of fasteners temporarily connected in parallel, an impact driver that advances through a driving path with rotational power of the flywheel to drive the fasteners, and a feed mechanism that feeds the connected fastener by a pitch from the magazine toward the driving path.
DRIVING-IN DEVICE
An apparatus for driving a fastening element into an underlying surface, the apparatus having a center of gravity, an energy transmission element, which is movable between a starting position and a setting position, for transmitting driving-in energy to the fastening element, a piston drive that provides driving-in energy, a housing, and a bolt guide that guides the fastening element while it is being driven in, wherein the bolt guide is mounted on the housing in a rotatable manner with respect to rotation about the center of gravity.
