NOSEPIECE LATCH MECHANISM FOR A FASTENING TOOL
A fastening tool having a latch mechanism that performs a tool-free jam release of a jammed fastener in the nosepiece. The latch mechanism includes a latch plate that is secured to the nose portion of a nosepiece assembly by a latch member and is pivotably releasable from the nose portion by a user's fingers.
POWERED FASTENER DRIVER
A powered fastener driver includes a magazine in which fasteners of a first length or fasteners of a second length greater than the first length are receivable. The magazine includes a shear block located at a first end of the magazine, a loading portion located at a second end of the magazine, and a feed channel extending lengthwise through the magazine between. The loading portion of the magazine includes first and second slots configured to receive fasteners of the corresponding first and second lengths for entry into the feed channel, and a feed channel access gate configured to prevent fasteners of the first length from being loaded into the second slot. The feed channel access gate is configured as a pivot member pivotable about an axis between a first, blocking position, and a second, bypass position. A spring biases the feed channel access gate toward the blocking position.
Nosepiece assembly with a passage for ejecting debris
A nosepiece assembly includes a first nosepiece portion including a fastener guide. The fastener guide has a support ledge to position a first fastener of a collated strip of fasteners in a drive channel. The nosepiece assembly also includes a second nosepiece portion connected to the first nosepiece portion opposite to the fastener guide with the first and second nosepiece portions defining the drive channel therebetween and defining a debris ejection passage therebetween. The debris ejection passage extends between the drive channel and a debris ejection aperture on an exterior surface of the nosepiece assembly.
Nail with aperture for hanging and supporting
A fastening device for supporting, hanging, holding and threading, includes: a shank with an aperture formed therethrough which can but doesn't have to include a built up area of material around it. The shank has two ends one end (head) is configured to be driven into by a driving tool such as a hammer, for securing the second pointed end into a member for securing the shank therewithin.
Birds beak elastomer fastener magazine feeder
A fastener driving tool magazine and nose piece for use with a fastener with a preinstalled elastomer beneath the head of the fastener. A magazine structure for avoiding damage to the elastomer is taught and a birds beak fastener guide is taught for installing the fastener while still avoiding damage to the elastomer.
NAILING UNIT AND NAIL GUN COMPRISING SAID NAILING UNIT
A nailing unit and a nail gun comprising said nailing unit comprises a guide plate, a nail box to mount U nails or T nails, and a nail feeding plate slidably connected to said nail compartment; said nail box is fixedly connected to said guide plate at one end, and forms a nail outlet at the position of connection; said nail feeding plate can push U nails or T nails to the nail outlet; bumps are fixedly provided inboard of said guide plate lengthwise; said bumps and the nail outlet form a nail discharge groove for matching the nailing plate, and suit to different specifications of T nails or U nails.
Magazine for a fastener tool
A magazine for a fastener tool comprising a first guideway for heads of fastener elements of a first type, the first guideway extending in a direction (A) and being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of first type near a front edge extending substantially parallel to the direction (A); and comprising a second guideway for heads of fastener elements of a second type, the fastener elements of the first type having a different length from that of the fastener elements of second type, the second guideway being configured to position tips of the fastener elements of second type near the front edge. The magazine further comprises a poka-yoke configured to prevent inserting of the fastener elements of second type in the first guideway.
Handheld fastener installation guide
A handheld guide for advancing and installing a decking fastener with an elongate track with a rail and an advancement member. The advancement member carries a pivoting pawl with an engagement surface for advancing fasteners forward through the track to an installation position with a frontmost fastener aligned with a screw guide for driving a screw through the frontmost fastener. The rail has a ramp transitioning to a cliff and a lower ledge such that the frontmost fastener is maintained forward of the cliff above the ledge in the installation position. The pawl pivots to disengage from the fasteners when the advancement member moves rearwardly along the track.
Fastening devices and methods of utilizing the same
Fastening devices and methods of utilizing the same. The fastening devices include a handle, a trigger mechanism, a fastener magazine, a fastening head, and a tab feed structure. The tab feed structure includes a tab magazine, a feed rail, and a tab advance mechanism. The tab magazine is configured to contain an accordion-folded stack of tabs, which is defined by a first subset of a plurality of interconnected tabs. The fasting device is configured to, upon actuation of the trigger mechanism, urge a fastener through a leading tab of the plurality of interconnected tabs and into a workpiece to operatively affix the leading tab to the workpiece and also to advance a tab strip, which is defined by a second subset of the plurality of interconnected tabs, toward a fastening region with the tab advance mechanism. The methods include methods of utilizing and/or loading the fastening device.
Pneumatic nail gun
The invention provides a pneumatic nail gun, comprising a gun body, a nail box, a fork and a nail forming device. The gun body comprises a sliding groove, a nail outlet adjacent to the sliding groove and a push block. The nail box and the fork are fixed on the gun body. The nail box is configured to place a plurality of strip nails to be sequentially exposed from the nail outlet. The formed fork comprises two forming surfaces with unequal heights, and the two forming surfaces are adjacent to the nail outlet. The nail forming device comprises two jaw arms, two control arms and a push seat, and the push block drives the two control arms to drive the two jaw arms to rotate and close the two forming jaws, and to drive the push seat to slide on the sliding groove.
