A nail gun includes: a housing; an accessory box for accommodating a fastener and at least partially connected to the housing; and a power output portion for outputting a striking force to the fastener; and an operating member triggered to have at least a first position and a second position, where the nail gun has a maximum desired penetration depth when the operating member is operated to the first position, and the nail gun has a minimum desired penetration depth when the operating member is operated to the second position; and when the operating member switches from the first position to the second position, an angle by which the operating member rotates about a first straight line is less than or equal to 360?.

FASTENING TOOL HAVING A MAGAZINE PUSHER POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM
20240075601 · 2024-03-07 ·

A fastening tool having a magazine pusher position detection system that informs the tool of a dry fire state due to less than a predetermined number of fasteners in the magazine assembly. The magazine pusher position detection system includes a sensor and a sensor target having a characteristic that is sensed by the sensor. When the characteristic is interrupted by an external member on the pusher, the sensor sends a signal to the controller indicative of a low nail or a low fastener condition. This can be done magnetically or optically. The controller then initiates a dry fire lockout that prevents the tool from driving a fastener, and actuates an indicator that notifies the user of a low nail or low fastener condition.

POWERED FASTENER DRIVER

A fastener driver includes a pusher assembly slidably coupled to a magazine assembly. The pusher assembly includes a first portion and a second portion that are selectively movable relative to each other. The pusher assembly is adjustable between a first state in which the first portion and the second portion are configured to move together in unison toward the channel, and a second state in which the first portion moves relative to the second portion toward the channel. A dry-fire lockout assembly includes a blocking member coupled to the magazine assembly or the nosepiece assembly, and a lockout member selectively engageable with the blocking member for moving the blocking member from a first position and a second position. The pusher assembly is configured to transition from the first state to the second state after a predetermined number of fasteners remain in the magazine assembly.
