20240051106 · 2024-02-15 ·

The invention relates to a nail passage mechanism used for a nail gun. The nail passage mechanism comprises a muzzle member having a nail hole, a muzzle cover disposed above the muzzle member, a nail passing channel formed between the muzzle member and the muzzle cover permitting a striking member to pass therethrough for striking a nail. The muzzle cover comprises a clearance groove permitting more than one tooth blocks located on the striking member to pass therethrough, and the clearance groove locates on a first side of the nail passing channel.

Pneumatic fastener driver

A fastener driver includes a housing having a handle portion. A motor is positioned within the housing. The fastener driver further includes an air compressor including a compressor cylinder and a compressor piston movable within the compressor cylinder in a reciprocating manner to compress air within the compressor cylinder. The fastener driver further includes a drive train converting torque from the motor to a linear force applied to the compressor piston, causing the compressor piston to move in the reciprocating manner. At least a portion of the drive train extends through the handle portion of the housing.

Concrete nailer having magazine cutout for deep tracks

A concrete nailer has a cutout defined by a magazine. The cutout is disposed proximate the drive track of the concrete nailer and provides the concrete nailer with sufficient reach to perpendicularly nail a complete range of U-shaped channels or track available to the job site against concrete, even though the magazine accommodates both long and short nails. The concrete nailer has the added ability to nail thick boards like 24's to concrete.

NOSEPIECE ASSEMBLY WITH A PASSAGE FOR EJECTING DEBRIS

A nosepiece assembly includes a first nosepiece portion including a fastener guide. The fastener guide has a support ledge to position a first fastener of a collated strip of fasteners in a drive channel. The nosepiece assembly also includes a second nosepiece portion connected to the first nosepiece portion opposite to the fastener guide with the first and second nosepiece portions defining the drive channel therebetween and defining a debris ejection passage therebetween. The debris ejection passage extends between the drive channel and a debris ejection aperture on an exterior surface of the nosepiece assembly.

Fastening Tool Nail Stop

A fastening tool having a nail stop which positions a nail for driving and is made at least in part of a contact material which can be investment cast and/or hardened. The contact material can resist wear from the action of driving the nail and the movement of a driver blade. The nail stop can be configured to align nails fed from a magazine and can be offset from the longitudinal centerline of the fastening tool. The nail stop can have a head contact length which is 0.5% to 95% of the length of the nail to be driven. The nail stop is used in methods for positioning a nail for driving.

POWERED FASTENER DRIVER

A fastener driver includes an outer cylinder having a cylindrical first end and an opposite, second end, an inner cylinder positioned within the outer cylinder, a moveable piston positioned within the inner cylinder, and a driver blade attached to the piston and movable therewith between a top-dead-center position and a bottom-dead-center position along a drive axis. The outer cylinder defining a longitudinal axis and a storage chamber configured to be filled with pressurized gas. The inner cylinder being in communication with the pressurized gas within the storage chamber. A frame has first end adjacent the cylindrical first end of the outer cylinder and a second end extending outward from the cylindrical first end of the outer cylinder in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The frame is integrally formed with the outer cylinder as a single piece and a nosepiece supported by the frame.

Nail Gun

A nail gun includes a power module, a magazine module and a detection module. The power module performs a nail-driving operation by receiving a first pressure, and is prevented from receiving the first pressure when the power module is subjected to a second pressure. The detection module includes a valve rod and a detection member operable to pivot between an unsealing position and a sealing position. The detection member is moved to the sealing position when the number of the nails in the magazine module is less than a predetermined amount.

POWERED FASTENER DRIVER

A pneumatic fastener driver is operable in a single sequential mode and a bump-fire mode. The pneumatic fastener driver includes a housing, a nosepiece extending from the housing from which fasteners are ejected, and a trigger moveable between a default position, in which a drive cycle is inhibited from initiating, and a depressed position, in which the drive cycle is permitted to be initiated. The pneumatic fastener driver further includes a contact arm movable relative to the nosepiece between an extended position and a retracted position, and a timeout mechanism operable in the bump-fire mode to inhibit the drive cycle from being initiated in response to inactivity of the contact arm over a preset time interval that begins once the trigger is actuated from the default position to the depressed position.

Accessory for a fastening gun

An accessory for a fastening gun includes a magazine assembly with a feed end and a discharge end and configured to support a series of staples in a pre-discharge orientation and with a feed mechanism for feeding the staples from the feed end to the discharge end. A drive member guide assembly is mounted on the magazine assembly and is configured so that a staple drive member can be mounted in the drive member guide assembly and can be driven and retracted along a predetermined path with respect to the magazine assembly, so that, when driven, the drive member can engage a staple to drive legs of the staple into respective components, the drive member guide assembly being configured for mounting on the fastening gun with the drive member connected to a piston or the like of the fastening gun.

Powered fastener driver with lifter

A fastener driver includes a cylinder, a moveable piston positioned within the cylinder, and a driver blade attached to the piston and movable therewith between a top-dead-center (TDC) position and a bottom-dead-center (BDC) position. A lifter is operable to move the driver blade from the BDC position toward the TDC position. A transmission is provided for providing torque to the lifter. The lifter includes a hub and a plurality of lugs extending therefrom. Each lug is engageable with the driver blade when moving the driver blade from the BDC position toward the TDC position. The hub and the lugs are integrally formed as a single piece. The lifter includes a first side and an opposite second side. Each of the first side and the second side is flat.
