Percussion tool

A percussion tool comprises a housing, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a percussion mechanism driven by the electric motor and including a striker supported for reciprocation in the housing, a battery pack removably coupled to the housing for providing power to the electric motor when coupled to the housing, and an electronic controller including an electronic processor and a memory. The electronic controller is coupled to the electric motor and configured to activate the motor and determine whether the percussion tool is in a loaded condition. In response to determining that the percussion tool is in the loaded condition, the electronic controller is configured to operate the motor in accordance with a predetermined profile and in response to determining that the percussion tool is in a no load condition, the electronic controller is configured to operate the motor at a no-load speed.

A hand-held electric hammer includes a handle arrangement on a tool carrier shank in which a striking mechanism actuated by an electric motor is accommodated and at the lower end of which a tool holder is arranged, which is suitable for receiving a tool attachment in the form of a spade blade, a demolition chisel, or a PVC scraper. The handle arrangement is designed as a T-shaped T-handle seated on the tool carrier shank, so that on both sides of the tool carrier shank there are two handles for both a left and a right hand of a user, whereby in the lower half of the tool carrier shank an additional handle stub is attached protruding in parallel with the T-handle from the tool carrier shank, which allows the electric hammer to be gripped with one hand on the T-handle and with the other hand on the additional handle stub.

The power tool includes a housing, a brushless motor including a rotor having a rotational shaft, a stator, and a sensor circuit board fixed to the stator and having a rotation detecting element that detects rotation of the rotor, and receiving the rotational shaft through the sensor circuit board, and a bearing held in the housing and supporting the rotational shaft. The bearing is located to overlap the rotation detecting element in an axial direction of the rotational shaft.

PERCUSSION TOOL

A percussion tool is used for performing a chiseling operation on a workpiece with a chisel. The percussion tool comprises a housing including a cylinder portion, a tool holder coupled to the cylinder portion for holding the chisel, and a percussion mechanism including a striker supported for reciprocation in the cylinder portion. The percussion mechanism is configured to impart repeated axial impacts to the chisel with the striker. The percussion tool further comprises a flange between the cylinder portion and the tool holder. Movement of the chisel within the tool holder toward the percussion mechanism is stopped by the flange.

The elastic member biases the motor shaft and the handle part away from each other in the front-rear direction.

Percussion tool

A method for reducing vibrations in a percussion tool includes activating, using an electronic controller of the percussion tool, the motor of the percussion tool, determining, using the electronic controller, that the percussion tool is in a loaded condition, and operating, using the electronic controller, the motor in accordance with a predetermined profile in response to determining that the percussion tool is in the loaded condition. The method also includes determining, using the electronic controller, that the percussion tool is in a no-load condition and operating, using the electronic controller, the motor with reduced speed in response to determining that the percussion tool is in the no-load condition.

OUTER ROTOR BRUSHLESS MOTOR STATOR MOUNT

A brushless direct-current motor is provided includes an inner stator and an outer rotor. A rotor shaft extends through a stator core of the inner stator. A first end cap includes a radial back plate disposed on a first side of the stator and a front center opening through which the rotor shaft is supported via a front bearing. A second end cap includes an inner annular body extending axially inwardly and forming a rear center opening, an outer annular body, and a main body extending on a second side of the stator. The inner annular body includes a first portion that extends at least partially into an opening of the stator core and supports the rotor shaft via a rear bearing, and a second portion rearward of the first portion that received a rear end of the rotor shaft therein and houses a sensor board therein.
