Drill assist device and method for use thereof
A drill assist device comprising a first segment and a second segment telescopically coupled to one another, where the first segment further contains a gas strut. A pull down handle is configured to connect the first segment and the second segment and enable compression of the drill assist device when a worker applies pressure to the pull down handle. This compression is further assisted by at least one wire rope cable that is affixed to both the pull down handle and the second segment and may be secured via one or more wire rope clamps. The wire rope claims maybe tightened or released to extend or retract the second segment to achieve the desired height of the drill assist device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING ALIGNED HOLES IN A WORK PIECE
A novel drill jig includes an edge alignment guide, a hole-spacing assembly, a second guide, a biasing member, and an actuator. The edge alignment guide is configured to abut an edge of a workpiece to facilitate movement of the workpiece along a first straight line. The hole-spacing assembly includes a protrusion disposed to engage a preexisting hole in a workpiece positioned by the edge alignment guide. The second guide is coupled to the hole-spacing assembly and is configured to facilitate movement of the hole-spacing assembly along a second straight line perpendicular to the first straight line. The first biasing member is coupled to the hole-spacing assembly and is operative to exert a force on the hole-spacing assembly in a direction parallel to the second straight line. An actuator moves the hole-spacing assembly along the second straight line via the first biasing member.
Drive guide
A drive guide connectable to a power tool includes a shank, a barrel, and a sleeve. The shank includes a tool coupling portion and a barrel coupling portion. The barrel is coupled to the barrel coupling portion of the shank. The barrel includes a bit coupling portion configured to couple to a tool bit. The barrel also includes a depth indicium disposed on a surface of the barrel. The sleeve is disposed concentrically about and slidable along the barrel. An edge of the sleeve provides a visual indicator to determine depth based on the depth indicium.
MOBILE PROJECT CENTER SYSTEM
A mobile project center system is presented that includes a center track having a pair of center supports and a pair of legs connected to the center support. A pair of benchtops are connected to the center track and move between an extended position and a retracted position. A pair of braces connect to each benchtop and provide support between the benchtop and the legs. These braces are locked and unlocked using a brace lock controlled by a brace control positioned just below the benchtops. A shelf extends between the opposing pairs of legs that transitions from a folded position and an extended position. The benchtop includes a plurality of openings in a grid pattern that facilitate attachment of various devices such as a joinery block. The system is used to perform a number of operations and converts between a plurality of configurations.
Device for angularly precise machining of a workpiece by a tool guided on a guide rail
Disclosed is a device for angularly precise machining of a workpiece (9) by a tool (3) guided on a guide rail (2), wherein the tool may be, in particular, an electrically-operated hand tool such as a router or circular saw, etc., consisting of a one- or two-piece working panel (1), wherein the working panel (1) of the device is provided with a plurality of receptacles (4), which are arranged in suitable relation to each other and which serve to receive positioning devices (8) without play and perpendicularly to the working panel (1) such that, on one side, a workpiece (9) and, on the other side, a guide rail (2) for guiding a tool (3) can be positioned on or fixed to the working panel such that a defined and reproducible machining angle (11) forms between the face of the workpiece (9) to be processed, which rests against the positioning devices (8), and the guide rail (2), which is placed upon the workpiece (9) to be machined in order to guide the tool (3), which machining angle can be varied by re-inserting at least one of the positioning devices (8) into one of the receptacles (4) and/or by using positioning devices (8) of differently sized cross-sections, wherein the cross-section may be circular or even non-circular, wherein intermediate angles or crooked angular value can also be repeatedly set for machining by positioning devices (8), which are rotatable, non-circular in shape or eccentrically mounted, and may be fixed in their rotation.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO ALIGN APPLIQUE CUTTERS
Methods and apparatus to align applique cutters are disclosed. A disclosed example alignment rail is for use with cutting an applique relative to a surface of a vehicle. The example alignment rail includes a base to contact the surface. The example alignment rail also includes a body including a cross-sectional profile extending along a longitudinal axis of the alignment rail. The example alignment rail also includes a groove of the cross-sectional profile extending along the longitudinal axis, where the groove is to align movement of a cutting tool to cut the applique.
Clamp On Straight Edge Device
A clamp on straight edge device for guiding for a tool includes a slot that is positioned longitudinally through a bar. A pair of coupling assemblies is slidably positioned in the slot. The coupling assemblies are selectively couplable to the bar so that each coupling assembly is fixedly positionable within the slot. Each coupling assembly is configured to position in abutment to a respective edge of a workpiece. The coupling assembles then are coupled to the bar to couple the bar to the workpiece with the bar extending linearly between the pair of coupling assemblies across a respective face of the workpiece. A user is positioned to selectively mark, score, perforate, cut, or otherwise alter the workpiece along a respective opposing side of the bar using a tool, such as a hand held powered cutting tool or the like.
Locating device for use with power tools
A powered high-speed cutting tool that also locates objects behind sheet material and subsequently cuts around the object. The tool incorporates at least one sensor having a transceiver emitting a signal to detect at least one from the group of object density, conductivity, distance, and identification. The sensor is housed within a sensor unit that is part of the body of the cutting tool. The sensor unit can be incorporated into the body or removable from the cutting tool. A marking unit is used to mark the cutting area of the sheet material and is generally part of or located near a sensor unit. Indicator members, such as lights, audio, and/or display screen, are used to provide information to the user.
Alignment attachment for screw gun
A tool that mounts on a power driver or other tool for installing framing members in a building ensures proper and uniform spacing of the framing members. A support that may be a C-shaped band clamp removably attaches to the power tool. A generally tubular gauge body snap-attaches in place and a slide member disposed within the gauge body is adjustable to extend a sufficient amount so the combined length of the tubular gauge body and the extended slide member provide a proper spacing for the framing members. A slide lock for holds the slide member at the extended position. This allows the measuring and installation to be done without the installer having to set the power tool down or use a ruler or tape measure once the spacing is established.
Tool alignment device
A tool alignment device for mounting on a tool having a stop, especially on a drilling and/or countersinking tool having a single-piece tool shaft and a stop, for alignment of a drill hole and/or countersink to be introduced or for alignment of a finishing step in relation to a normal to the surface of a workpiece, comprising a main part and a through hole. Upon mechanical contact between the tool alignment device and the surface of the workpiece, a signaling device is actuated and emits alignment signal(s) during alignment in an alignment direction, and the stop of the tool can be accommodated in the main part, which comprises a guide device which establishes a connection between a stop sleeve of the stop and the tool alignment device such that the stop can be aligned in the alignment direction. Also, a drilling, milling and/or countersinking tool having a stop.
