Smart power tool
The present disclosure discloses a drive tool. The drive tool comprising a handle, a bit movably coupled to the handle through a mechanism. The drive tool further comprises a plurality imaging units provisioned on the handle to face a fastener and a fastening surface. The drive tool also comprises a control unit operatively coupled to the mechanism and the plurality of imaging units. The control unit is configured to receive data from each of the plurality of imaging units and operate the mechanism selectively to move the bit for adjusting axis of the fastener perpendicular to the fastening surface. The adjustment is done based on the data received from at least one of the plurality of imaging units. The automatic alignment of axis of the fastener with respect to the fastening surface improves the accuracy of operation and reduces the efforts of the operator.
Alignment System, Drilling System, and Method for Drilling a Hole Through a Gang Channel
Example alignment systems for aligning a drill bit with respect to a gang channel and methods of use are described herein. An example alignment system for use with a drill includes a drill block having a guide portion and an attachment portion. The attachment portion is configured to be removably coupled to a foot of the drill such that the drill block is positioned between the foot and a drill bit of the drill. A longitudinal axis of the drill block is coaxial with a longitudinal axis of the drill bit when the attachment portion is coupled to the foot. The guide portion is configured to at least partially contact an inner surface of opposing legs of a gang channel to thereby center the drill bit between the opposing legs of the gang channel.
GUIDE APPARATUS FOR A WOODWORKING ROUTER
There is disclosed guide apparatus for guiding a wood-working router relative a workpiece, the guide apparatus comprising: a base (5.1) for engaging with a workpiece or worktable carrying the workpiece; a guide frame (2.1, 2.3) coupled to the base (5.1) and having at least one guide (5.2) defining a linear guide path; a router housing (1.2) slidably engaged with the guide (5.2) for movement along the guide path relative the guide frame in an engaging direction towards the base (5.1) and a disengaging direction away from the base, the router housing (1.2) being configured to receive a woodworking router so that, in use, a router bit of the router extends from the router housing (1.2) towards the base (5.1); and an actuation mechanism 3 having a pivotable handle (3.7) for receiving an input force from an operator to move housing (1.2) along the guide path. The actuation mechanism (3) is configured so that, in use with the guide apparatus in an upright configuration in which the router housing (1.2) is above the base (5.1), an input force is required to raise the housing and the router received therein against gravity.
EXTENSION OPERATING DEVICE FOR POWER TOOLS
An assembly for supporting the extended operation of mounted power hand tools is provided. The power tool extension apparatus extends between a baton-style handle and a depth-adjusting single wheel correlated to enable the operator to control the mounted power hand tool in a one-handed walk along manner. The alignment of the power tool extension apparatus, the mounted power tool, and the centrally disposed single wheel facilitates a wide range of selective pivotal motion of the single wheel and thus the mounted power tool about the extension apparatus.
ORIENTING APPARATUS FOR TURNING TOOLS
An orienting apparatus for arranging on a turning tool and for orienting a bore or depression to be introduced or for orienting a finishing step with respect to a normal to the surface of a workpiece, comprising a main body having a through-hole for receiving the tool shank or the tool tip in an orienting direction, and at least two probe elements for oriented support on the surface of the workpiece. As a result of an orienting movement of the orienting apparatus with respect to the normal to the surface of the workpiece, all of the probe elements form an electric circuit between an electrical current source contained in the main body and the signaling device, said electric circuit being closed by a series circuit activated by the probe elements. Furthermore, a method for orienting a bore or depression or for orienting a finishing step with an orienting apparatus.
HAND TOOL SYSTEM
A hand tool system includes a first hand tool part and a second hand tool part configured to be releasably connected together with the first hand tool part to form a combination hand tool. The first hand tool part includes a main body and a first connection part, and the second hand tool part includes a main body and a second connection part. The first connection part and the second connection part are configured to be releasably connected together in a state of compression. At least one of the first connection part or the second connection part includes a compression member configured to releasably apply compression to the second connection part or the first connection part to releasably connect the first connection part and the second connection part together.
GUIDE ASSEMBLY AND TOOL SYSTEM FOR ROTATABLY BALANCING A TOOL AND A METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A guide assembly for supporting a tool employs an arcuate guide configured to have a tether coupled thereto. The arcuate guide is configured to apply a reaction force to the tether to oppose gravitational force applied to the tool. The assembly further includes a mount assembly is configured to couple the arcuate guide to the tool. At least one support bar is coupled to the arcuate guide and the mount assembly. The arcuate guide, the mount assembly, and the at least one support bar are configured to maintain the reaction force in alignment with a center of gravity of the tool as the tool is rotated with respect to the center of gravity.
Apparatus for assisting with wall board cutting
The present invention relates to an apparatus for assisting with the quick and accurate cutting of a piece of wall board or the like for installation. When installing wall board, it is important that it fits tightly to the ceiling or wall against which the wall board is being installed. The invention generally includes a frame on which a piece of dry wall can be placed and at least one cutting template that comprises a first cutting guide disposed within a first cutting slot that is carried by the frame. The first cutting slot and first cutting guide define a first cutting channel that is adapted to receive a cutting tool and to guide the cutting tool along the first cutting guide so that the dry wall can be cut to match the pattern of the cutting guide.
Stand-on drill press
A device 20 for guiding a power tool 10 which an operator stands on base plate 1, engages hands to both lever handles 7a-b. Continuing, operator presses down on both handles applying downward force. Thereby, gaining dual lever mechanical advantage for the purpose of advancing and retreating a power tool 10. Respectively, performing drilling, boring, and fastening operations at and below floor level. Particularly and most important, with operator 13 in the standing position on baseplate 1. Further including, taking advantage of total weight of an operator and tool 20 combined, holding device in place while in use.
