Knife
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a folding or butterfly knife that provides for easily changing a blade or other tool on the knife. The knife includes a first handle component; a second handle component; and a knife component. The knife component comprises a blade integrally connected to a tang, pivotally secured to the first and second handle components by an attachment section. The attachment section comprises a first plate; a second plate; an inner plate located between the first and second plates; and a kicker lever for removing and replacing the blade in the knife segment, the kicker lever comprising a protrusion and a kicker located at an upper end of the kicker lever and a lever stop located at a lower end of the kicker lever for defining the movement of the kicker lever.

Provide is a tool that includes a handle assembly including a top and bottom portion and a blade disposed between the top and bottom portion having first and second ends and an opening at its first end. The opening includes first and second notches opposed to one another. FOLDING KNIFE WITH FRAME LOCK GUARD
A knife includes a blade and a handle assembly rotatably coupled to the blade, defining a longitudinal axis, and including a side frame, a handle frame spaced apart from the side frame, a locking arm coupled to the side frame and angularly movable relative to the longitudinal axis between a locked position and an unlocked position, the locking arm defined by an arm width, and a guard coupled to the side frame and overlaying at least a portion of the locking arm, the guard being defined by a guard width measured in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the guard width being a distance between a bottom side of the guard and a top side of the locking arm, wherein a ratio of the guard width to the arm width at any given position along a length of the guard is greater than thirty percent.
FOLDING KNIFE WITH FRAME LOCK GUARD
A knife includes a blade and a handle assembly rotatably coupled to the blade, defining a longitudinal axis, and including a side frame, a handle frame spaced apart from the side frame, a locking arm coupled to the side frame and angularly movable relative to the longitudinal axis between a locked position and an unlocked position, the locking arm defined by an arm width, and a guard coupled to the side frame and overlaying at least a portion of the locking arm, the guard being defined by a guard width measured in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the guard width being a distance between a bottom side of the guard and a top side of the locking arm, wherein a ratio of the guard width to the arm width at any given position along a length of the guard is greater than thirty percent.
Folding Knife Safety Mechanism
A folding knife with a locking mechanism is provided. The folding knife includes a locking spring that interfaces with a recess in the blade to bias the blade from being pivoted out of the handle. A button interfaces with the locking spring to actuate the locking spring interfacing with the blade.
FOLDING KNIFE (VARIANTS)
A folding knife comprises a blade 1 which has a pin 9 and is pivotally fastened to a locking plate 2 having an aperture for a pivot bushing. In a first variant, the folding knife comprises a pivot bushing 3 with a flange 4. In a second variant, the knife has a pivot bushing 17 with a flange 18, and, on the opposite side of the blade 1, there is a clamping bushing 19 with a flange 20, which interacts with the pivot bushing 17 by means of a tight fit. A tightening screw 7 is screwed into the pivot bushing 3 or 17. Mounted on both sides of the blade 1, on the pivot bushing 3 or 17, are washers 5 and 6 made of an anti-friction elastically deformable material having a compressive elastic modulus of not less than 800 MPa. The locking plate 2 and a cover plate 8 are fastened by the insertion of fastening screws 12 into corresponding apertures 13. A backspacer 11 is mounted in the gap between the plates 2 and 8. A liner 10 is mounted in the lower portion of the locking plate 2. The technical result is simpler assembly, an increased lifespan as a result of more efficient compensation of lateral and torsional forces on the blade, and repairability.
