RETRACTABLE UTILITY KNIFE
A utility knife configured with a retractable cutting blade that is extended and retracted by a blade actuation mechanism. The blade actuation mechanism includes a blade trigger assembly and a blade carriage assembly that are operably connected in variety of configurations, including a configuration with a rack-and-pinion arrangement between the blade trigger assembly and the blade carriage assembly. The rack-and-pinion blade actuation mechanism is configured to automatically retract the cutting blade as the cutting blade is lifted from the cutting surface.
Knife with a knife handle and a blade
A knife has a knife handle and a blade, the blade being extendable and retractable in relation to the knife handle. A reinforcing part is provided which can support an extended portion of the blade, and is movable in respect of the knife handle and is detachably connected to the blade. Alternatively, the knife has a blade-moving carriage and/or a reinforcing part-moving carriage and a latching holder for latch-adjusting different extended positions of the blade is provided. In another embodiment, the blade-moving carriage has a holding magnet for holding cooperation with the blade. In yet another embodiment, a closing cap is arranged on the knife handle at the rear end of the blade, the closing cap closing the movement path for the blade-moving carriage and/or the reinforcement part-moving carriage.
WORKSITE APPLICATION TOOL FOR TAPE OR FILM
The present disclosure provides an apparatus for applying forces to a tape or a film. In one aspect, the apparatus has an edge for pressing and pushing tape or film uniformly across a surface, an operable light emitting device for illumination, a cutting blade, and a receptacle for a leash or lanyard. The receptacle for a leash or lanyard may be used to secure the apparatus to a belt, harness or other item, and to enable use of other tools without risking loss or damage of the apparatus.
CUTTING DEVICE
A cutting device is disclosed. The cutting device has a first housing member, a second housing member that is removably attachable to the first housing member to form a housing, and a carriage that is movably disposed in the housing, the carriage including a first attachment portion, which is disposed at a first portion of the carriage, and a second attachment portion, which is disposed at a second portion of the carriage that is disposed away from the first portion of the carriage. The cutting device also has an exterior member disposed at an exterior of the housing and attached to the carriage via an aperture disposed in one of the first housing member and the second housing member, and a cutting member that is removably attachable to the first attachment portion at the first portion of the carriage.
Sliding blade carriage with blade release
A tool includes a housing comprising first and second sides, and a slidable blade assembly configured to move between first, second, third positions. The blade assembly selectively receives a removable blade such that the blade is stored within the housing when the assembly is in the first position, a portion of the blade extends outwardly from the housing when the assembly is in the second position, and the blade is completely outside of the housing, and exposed for removal of the blade from the assembly without removing or separating any portion of the first side or the second side of the housing, when the assembly is in the third position. The tool further includes a first button associated with moving the slidable blade assembly between the first and second position, and a second button associated with moving the slidable blade assembly between the second and third position.
UTILITY KNIFE
The invention relates to a utility knife, comprising a housing (11) and a blade holder (13) that is movable between a rear position and a cutting position in the housing (11), comprising a return device (34), which can load the blade holder (13) into the rear position relative to the housing.
The special feature is that the return device (34) is mounted on the housing (11) or the blade holder (13) and comprises a spring (35), wherein the return device (34) comprises a movable element which is connected to one end of the spring and is urged in a travel direction by this one end of the spring, wherein the movable element interacts with the blade holder (13) and the housing (11) and the blade holder (13) is urged into the rear position in at least one region of movement of the blade holder (13) .
Cutting device
The apparatus has a blade retaining member that is elongated in a longitudinal direction, a recess disposed in the blade retaining member, the recess having a first portion extending in the longitudinal direction and a second portion extending in a radial direction, a protruding portion that extends from the blade retaining member in the longitudinal direction, and a protrusion disposed on the protruding portion. The recess is a first attachment portion configured to removably attach the removably-attachable blade cartridge to a first cutting device. The protrusion is a second attachment portion configured to removably attach the removably-attachable blade cartridge to a second cutting device.
Safety cutter
The present invention relates to a safety cutter including a housing which receives a trigger, a transmission member, a pusher, a blade carrier and a blade. The transmission member is engaged operatively with the trigger via a gear assembly. The gear assembly allows the safety cutter to move the blade outward for a longer distance than conventional safety cutters. To prevent the gear assembly and the trigger rack portion from being displaced by tension generated during cutting, a first limiting member and a pair of second limiting members are provided in the housing. The blade carrier is releasably engaged with the transmission member to achieve automatic retraction of the blade into the housing after the blade leaves the cutting surface even if the trigger is not released.
Utility knife
A utility knife is provided, including: a first housing, a second housing, a blade carrier and a locking mechanism. The first housing includes a shaft disposed thereon and having an axis. The second housing is rotatably mounted to the shaft and includes a first engaging portion. The blade carrier is movably received between the first housing and the second housing, and is operable to move. The locking mechanism is disposed through the second housing and non-rotatable relative to the shaft. The locking mechanism is axially slidable between a locking position and a releasing position along the shaft and rotatable about the axis. When the locking mechanism is in the locking position, the second housing is non-rotatable relative to the first housing; when the locking mechanism is in the releasing position, the second housing is rotatable about the locking mechanism and rotatable relative to the first housing.
Self-retracting knife with replaceable blade
A self-retracting knife includes a housing having a forward end defining a blade aperture, and a blade carrier supports a removable knife blade and is movable within the housing from a fully extended position with the blade projecting from the blade aperture and a fully retracted position by a tension spring. An anti-retraction latch member is supported by the housing and is movable with finger pressure to a position that stops the blade carrier from fully retracting so that the knife blade is partially extended through the blade aperture. In other embodiments, the blade carrier extends through a carrier aperture at the opposite end of the housing for extending the blade carrier, and an adjustable extension limiter also extends through the carrier aperture for limiting forward movement of the blade carrier and projection of the blade through the blade aperture.
