The hair-cutting units each have at least one geometric parameter (w) that influences a hair-cutting process of each individual hair-cutting unit. The shaving unit can be positioned relative to the main body in at least two different angular positions about a central axis (37) of the shaving unit. A value of the geometric parameter of at least one of the hair-cutting units is different from the values of the geometric parameter of the other hair-cutting units.
Rotary shaver with improved support structure for shaving heads
A shaving device comprises a head structure (2) and a base structure (4). The head structure (2) is configured to retain and support at least one shaving head (30A, 30B, 30C). The head structure (2) is releasably retainable on the base structure (4). The base structure (4) is free of support elements in an area of an outer circumference of the head structure (2) such that the head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is not supported in the area of its outer circumference. The head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is substantially only retained on the base structure (4) by a retaining force provided by a retaining structure of the base structure (4). When an overloading force is exerted on the head structure (2), the force is transferred to a coupling element (8) arranged in a central area (2A) of the head structure (2) such that the coupling element (8) is released from the retaining structure of the base structure (4) in order to prevent damage to the head structure (2).
ROTARY ELECTRIC SHAVER
A rotary electric shaver having a noise-reduction structure by a belt driving system is enhanced.
A rotary electric shaver includes a main body in which a first transmission mechanism, and a connecting portion is disposed; a head unit in which a plurality of blade units each having an outer blade, an inner blade being in sliding contact with an inner surface of the outer blade, and a driven shaft rotating the inner blade are disposed, and a second transmission mechanism that transmits a driving power of the first transmission mechanism to rotate the driven shaft is built, and which is connected to the connecting portion; and a drive shaft that transmits the driving power of the first transmission mechanism to the second transmission mechanism, wherein a first endless belt is disposed in the first transmission mechanism and a second endless belt is disposed in the second transmission mechanism.
ROTARY ELECTRIC SHAVER
A rotary electric shaver having a support structure in which a followability of an outer blade to a skin surface is enhanced.
A rotary electric shaver includes a main body in which a first transmission mechanism, and a connecting portion is disposed; a head unit in which a plurality of blade units each having an outer blade, an inner blade being in sliding contact with an inner surface of the outer blade, and a driven shaft rotating the inner blade are disposed, and a second transmission mechanism that transmits a power of the first transmission mechanism to rotate the driven shaft is built, and which is connected to the connecting portion. The head unit has a first magnet disposed at a position corresponding to each of the blade units. The main body has a second magnet disposed at a position facing and repelling the first magnet.
ADJUSTING A RELATIVE POSITION IN AN EXPOSURE DIRECTION OF TWO PIVOTABLY ARRANGED MEMBERS OF A SHAVING UNIT
A hair-cutting unit comprises an external cutting member (10) having a shaving surface (11) provided with hair-entry openings and a skin supporting member (30) having a skin supporting surface (31) surrounding the external cutting member (10). The hair-cutting unit is further equipped with an adjustment mechanism (50) configured to adjust an exposure distance over which the shaving surface (11) protrudes relative to the skin supporting surface (31) in an exposure direction (E). The external cutting member (10) and the skin supporting member (30) are jointly pivotal about a stationary pivot axis. The adjustment mechanism (50) is designed such that the stationary character of the pivot axis can be maintained for every possible relative position of the external cutting member (10) and the skin supporting member (30), so that a well-functioning combination of the adjustment mechanism (50) and the pivoting arrangement of the respective members (10, 30) is realized.
SHAVING APPARATUS WITH DETACHABLE CUTTING UNIT
The invention relates to a shaving apparatus with at least one cutting unit (3) detachably coupled to a drive mechanism (8) via a coupling (18, 16), and to such a coupling. Said coupling comprises a second coupling member (16) having a coupling cavity (21). A coupling head (19) of a first coupling member (18) is in a form-locking engagement in said coupling cavity to transfer a driving force, and is detachable from said coupling cavity by movement in an axial direction (24) parallel to an axis of rotation of the cutting unit. Said second coupling member comprises a plurality of recesses (31), each recess extending in a radial direction from said coupling cavity and being delimited by two radially extending side wall sections (31a,31b). Each of said two radially extending side wall sections forms an edge (32a, 32b) with a bottom surface of said second coupling member, and the edges of each recess converge in a radially outward direction in relation to said axis of rotation.
Hair-cutting unit for use in a hair-cutting appliance
A hair-cutting unit for use in a hair-cutting appliance comprises includes cutting members a base member, and a supporting member which is pivotable relative to the base member and accommodates the cutting members. The hair-cutting unit further includes a holding member which is pivotable relative to the supporting member between a holding position of holding the cutting members in an operational position in the supporting member, and a releasing position of releasing the cutting members for removal from the supporting member, and a biasing mechanism which is configured to bias the holding member towards the holding position. At least in an opened position of the supporting member, pivoting of the holding member out of the holding position is prevented solely by the biasing force of the biasing mechanism.
