Media sanitizing cassette and method of operation
A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.
SAFETY CABINET WITH ILLUMINATION SYSTEM
A safety cabinet can include an enclosure defining an interior compartment accessible through an opening. The safety cabinet includes an interior lighting system. The interior lighting system can include at least one of an illuminating light to enable viewing to cabinet contents and an ultraviolet light configured to disinfect the interior compartment of the safety cabinet. To provide electrical power to the interior lighting system, the safety cabinet includes an electrical connection disposed through the enclosure. The electrical connection can include at least one of a bulkhead connector and an intumescent socket.
Disinfection apparatus
A disinfection apparatus includes an installation member. The installation member includes a sealing member configured to seal a hole located in a ceiling, a nozzle configured to be placed in a ceiling space through the hole and spray a chemical solution to disinfect the ceiling space, a mount member configured to place the nozzle above the sealing member, and a fixing member configured to maintain a state in which the sealing member seals the hole.
AIR AND SURFACE DISINFECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Devices, methods, and systems for disinfecting air and surfaces are described herein. The systems may include a source of light, a reflector, a motor, and a controller. The source of light may provide ultraviolet germicidal irradiation light and the light may be selectively provided. The reflector may extend along and/or around the source of light. The motor may be coupled to the reflector and cause the reflector to adjust relative to the source of light so as to direct light at different target locations. The controller may determine occupancy in a room in which the system is located. When the room is not occupied, the controller may cause the reflector to be adjusted to an unoccupied position. When the room is occupied, the controller may cause the reflector to be adjusted to an occupied position.
Skin Preparation Applicator
Fluid applicators with precise volume dispensing control for dispensing fluids such as a disinfectant in a controlled manner are described herein. Such fluid applicators may include a barrel including a sidewall having an inside surface defining a chamber for retaining a fluid, an end press, a push rod disposed within the chamber, the push rod having a push button and a piercing tip, a cap attached to a port via a hinge to cover a hydrophobic filter disposed on the sidewall of the chamber, a one-way valve disposed on the outlet on a distal end of the barrel, a disinfectant disposed within the chamber; a housing having a base and an open proximal end; and a fluid applicator sponge disposed in the base of the housing. An alternate fluid may include a deformable end press, a plurality of volume scale markings on an outer surface of the barrel, a push rod, a one-way valve and applicator sponge.

SANITIZER FOR COSMETICS
An applicator wand for the cosmetic product is optically coupled to an ultraviolet light source as an illumination source of ultraviolet light wavelengths. The applicator wand provides the source of the ultraviolet light wavelengths to be a germicide for bacteria in the cosmetic product on the applicator wand. The ultraviolet light source emits the ultraviolet light wavelengths in a range extending between 202-225 nm. A container contains the cosmetic product. The cap of the container attaches to a body of the container. One or more batteries electrically connect to at least an electronic control circuit and the ultraviolet light source.
Air treatment device
An air treatment device includes: a casing having an inlet through which air is drawn, and an outlet out of which the air drawn through the inlet is blown; a blade configured to adjust a direction of the air blown out of the outlet; and a generator configured to generate an antimicrobial element that sanitizes the blade. The blade has a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The blade is shiftable between a first position in which the antimicrobial element is provided to the first surface and a second position in which the antimicrobial element is provided to the second surface.

Pathogen-rich surface sanitizing system and method
Surfaces are sanitized by using radiation (such as UV-C) to kill pathogens (such as bacteria). A lamp shade is provided that shapes the radiation from a sanitizing lamp into an intended projection pattern, which is irradiated on a target area to kill pathogens in that target area. The radiation is controlled and turned on autonomously based upon sensors that determine when no one is using the device being sanitized.
