A plurality of upper blades are positioned in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of upper blades include curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during use. A plurality of lower blades is positioned adjacent to the plurality of upper blades in the cartridge, where at least some of the plurality of lower blades comprises curved tips with a curvature that sufficient to prevent the curved tips from contact a cutting surface during cutting. At least one of the plurality of upper and the plurality of lower blades has a thickness and flexibility that results in deflection during cutting that increases effectiveness of cutting action. A drive motor moves the plurality of upper blades relative to the plurality of lower blades.
ELECTRIC HANDHELD HAIR TRIMMER INCLUDING BLADE WITH BEVELED PORTIONS
A trimmer includes a blade assembly including a stationary blade and a movable blade. Each of the stationary blade and the movable blade includes blade teeth. The stationary blade includes a first transverse edge portion, a second transverse edge portion, and a middle portion. The first transverse edge portion includes a first upper surface extending from a first edge to the upper surface. The second transverse edge portion includes a second upper surface extending from a second edge to the upper surface. The first transverse edge portion and the second transverse edge portion are beveled from the middle portion to the respective edges of the stationary blade. The stationary blade is symmetric about a midline of the middle portion. In some embodiments, the trimmer includes a toothed blade guard.
Stationary blade, blade set, and manufacturing method
A stationary blade for a blade set of a hair cutting appliance includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and a guide slot formed between the top and bottom walls to accommodate a movable blade. The stationary blade further includes a plurality of stationary blade teeth each having a frontal end. The top and bottom walls are mutually joined at the frontal ends, where the top and bottom walls are, at least at the frontal ends, made from sheet metal material. Further, at the frontal ends, two or more sheet metal folded edges are present.
BLADE SET, HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE, AND RELATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A stationary blade for a blade set of a hair cutting appliance is described. The stationary blade is arranged to be moved through hair in a moving direction to cut hair. The stationary blade includes: a first wall portion arranged to serve as a skin facing wall when in operation; a second wall portion at least partially offset from the first wall portion; and at least one toothed leading edge comprising a plurality of teeth and being jointly provided by the first wall portion and the second wall portion. The first wall portion and the second wall portion are connected at a frontal end of the at least one toothed leading edge to provide tips of the teeth. A blade set including the stationary blade and a moveable cutting blade are also described. A method of fabricating a blade set is also described.
MULTI-PIECE HAIR CLIPPER CONSTRUCTION WITH METAL OUTER HOUSING
A hair clipper is provided, including a chassis having upper and lower chassis portions defining an enclosed interior chamber, said upper and lower chassis portions configured for being secured together; and an outer housing including upper and lower housing portions constructed and arranged for enclosing the chassis as the housing portions are secured together such that the interior chamber is isolated from the housing.
Stationary blade and manufacturing method
The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a stationary blade (102) and to a stationary blade (102), the method comprising providing a metal component (106), involving applying a first bending procedure, thereby forming a top wall (112) and two legs (114, 116) at opposite ends of the top wall (112) that are spaced away from one another in a longitudinal direction, wherein, subsequent to the bending procedure, each of the two legs (114, 116) is arranged at a first angle (α) with respect to the top wall (112), and wherein two bending edges (152, 154) are formed between the top wall (112) and the two legs (114, 116), providing a support insert (108) having a longitudinal extension (l.sub.s) that is at least slightly greater than a receiving space (l.sub.b) between the two bending edges (152, 154), joining the metal component (106) and the support insert (108), wherein the metal component (106) is at least slightly pretensioned due to the longitudinal extension (l.sub.s) of the support insert (108), and applying a second bending procedure to the metal component (106), comprising further bending the two legs (114, 116), thereby arranging each of the two legs (114, 116) at a second angle (*) with respect to the top wall (112) that is smaller than the first angle (α).
BLADE SET AND HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
A blade set for a hair cutting appliance includes a stationary blade and a cutter blade.
