HAIR-CUTTING APPARATUS
In order to improve hair debris collection, it is proposed to position a cut-hair-blocking element 18 with a partitioned barrier/shield 28 in front of a cutting arrangement 12 of a hair-cutting apparatus 10. Examples of the partitioned barrier/shield include e.g. a rigid comb shield 28a with spacings between teeth, a rigid comb barrier 28b with flexible material between teeth, and a fully flexible barrier. The partitioned barrier/shield allows hair to be cut to enter a cutting zone 20, but prevents cut hair from flying off.
SHAVERS AND METHODS
A shaver comprises at least one hyperspectral imaging sensor configured to capture spectral information for at least one area of skin scanned by the shaver. A computer-implemented method for skin monitoring comprises obtaining spectral information for at least one area of skin scanned by a shaver and storing the spectral information for the at least one area of skin scanned by the shaver. A shaver kit comprises the shaver and an electronic device configured for data exchange with the shaver and configured to run the computer-implemented method for skin monitoring.
ELECTRIC GROOMING DEVICE
An electric grooming appliance includes a housing, a grooming device, an electric motor, and a controller. In some embodiments, the electric grooming appliance is capable of operating in different modes and includes a user interface which allows a user to communicate with the controller and select at least one of the modes. The electric grooming appliance may provide information to the user relating to information determined and/or detected during a grooming session. In addition, the electric grooming appliance may record or store grooming session information on a memory and estimate future operating parameters based on the grooming session information. The electric grooming appliance may include a trimmer assembly that is positionable between a stowed position and an operative position.
ELECTRIC GROOMING APPLIANCE INCLUDING MAGNETIC COUPLING SYSTEM
A handheld grooming appliance includes a housing defining a handle, a head, and an interior space. The handheld grooming appliance further includes a grooming device operatively connected to a motor and supported by the head of the housing. The handheld grooming appliance also includes a magnetic coupling system configured to releasably attach the grooming device to the housing. The magnetic coupling system includes at least one first magnet located on the grooming device and at least one second magnet located on the housing. The first magnet and the second magnet provide an attractive force to secure the grooming device to the housing during operation of the handheld grooming appliance. The magnetic coupling system is arranged to allow selective detachment of the grooming device from the housing when a user applies a force greater than the attractive force between the first and second magnets.
Electric shaver with imaging capability
System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.
HAIR CLIPPER HAVING A MAGNETIC DOOR
A hair cutting device includes a cutting head having a moveable trimmer blade and a stationary trimmer blade, a collection chamber beneath the moveable trimmer blade and the stationary trimmer blade for collecting hairs cut by the moveable trimmer blade and the stationary trimmer blade, and a cover enclosing the collection chamber, the cover being removably connected to the cutting head via a magnetic interface.
RAZOR HEADS, KITS, RAZORS & METHODS COMPRISING THE SAME
A razor head comprises a frame. The frame comprises a leading longitudinal member and a trailing longitudinal member. The razor head further comprises a plurality of substantially parallel cutting members disposed between the leading longitudinal member and the trailing longitudinal member, and a cutting member support arranged in the frame, wherein the cutting member support is coupled to the plurality of cutting members. The cutting member support is configured to displace at least one cutting member of the plurality of cutting members from a default position to at least one predetermined deviating position based on an external stimulus.
PERSONAL CARE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a personal care device, in particular hair removal device such as an electric shaver, comprising an elongated handle for manually moving the personal care device along a body surface, a working head attached to said handle for effecting a personal care treatment to said body surface, said working head being movably supported relative to said handle and/or including a working head element being movably supported relative to a working head basis to allow adaption of the working head and/or of the working head element to the body surface contour, wherein an adjustment device is provided for adjusting a movability characteristic of a suspension of said working head and/or of said working head element, wherein said adjustment device includes at least one actuator for adjusting at least one characteristic.
PERSONAL CARE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a personal care device, in particular hair removal device such as an electric shaver, comprising an elongated handle for manually moving the personal care device in short and/or long strokes along a body surface, a working head attached to said handle for effecting a personal care treatment to said body surface, and a determination unit including at least one sensor for determining stroke length to differentiate between short and long strokes, wherein said determination unit is configured to determine velocity of the working head and/or the handle, to determine beginning and end points of strokes when the determined velocity gets zero and/or changes signs, and to determine stroke length from the distance between pairs of beginning and end points next to each other.
