INTEGRATED RAZOR CARTRIDGE

A razor cartridge and a method for assembling a razor cartridge are disclosed. A razor cartridge includes: a blade housing including a seat configured to receive at least one blade; a pair of side caps respectively disposed at opposite ends of the blade housing, wherein each side cap is configured to be engaged with a corresponding end of the blade housing; and a plurality of bridges, wherein one or more bridges are disposed at each end of the blade housing and configured to provide a moveable connection between the side cap and the corresponding end of the blade housing, wherein the blade housing, the pair of side caps, and the one or more bridges are integrally formed, and wherein each side cap is configured to secure the at least one blade to the blade housing when the side cap is engaged with the corresponding end of the blade housing.

Shaving systems

Shaving assemblies are disclosed that include a blade unit, an interface element configured to connect the blade unit to a handle, on which the blade unit is pivotably mounted, and an return element disposed between the blade unit and interface element. The return element serves as interface piece, connector and pivot all in one. Shaving systems including such shaving assemblies are also disclosed, as are methods of using such shaving systems.

MAGNETIC ATTACHMENT FOR SHAVING CARTRIDGE

Shaving systems are disclosed that include a replaceable shaving assembly and a cartridge connecting structure for connecting the shaving assembly to a handle. In preferred implementations, the cartridge connecting structure has a magnetic portion configured to help draw the cartridge onto the handle and retain the cartridge in place when the razor is not in contact with the skin, and a mechanical engagement that provides the necessary retention forces required to keep the system intact during shaving.

An integrally formed rigid razor blade has, in cross-section transverse to a longitudinal axis, a cutting edge portion, a base portion, and a bent portion. The cutting edge portion extends along a cutting edge portion axis and has a cutting edge at one end. The base portion extends along a base portion axis and has a rear edge at one end. The bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The rear edge of the base portion is serrated along the longitudinal axis. The serrations have a height of between 0.13 millimeters and 0.32 millimeters.
