RAZOR BLADES
A razor blade having a substrate with a cutting edge being defined by a sharpened tip and novel dimensions is provided. The substrate has dimensions of volumes, cross-sectional areas, and thicknesses at or near the ultimate tip (e.g., at a distance up to about 2 micrometers from the sharpened tip). The substrate is coated with one or more materials and has novel volumes, cross-sectional areas, and thicknesses at or near the ultimate tip (e.g., at a distance up to about 2 micrometers from the sharpened tip). The total area of the substrate at 2 micrometers back from the ultimate tip is at or below about 1.093 square micrometers and at or below about 6.511 square micrometers for a coated substrate at the same distance. These dimensional values are measured robustly with an atomic force microscope and provide reduced cut forces for improved blade performance.
Dermaplane Cutting Device
A dermaplane razor device, including a first end operatively connected to a second end, the first end including a holder configured to hold a razor blade; the second end configured for handling; a cover lock rotatably connected to the second end and configured to hold the razor blade within the holder, the cover lock including a handle and locking mechanism; where the cover lock rotates to contact the first end and removably fix the razor blade so that a cutting edge of the razor blade is extends past the holder.

Razor blades
A razor blade including a blade body, an expanded coating structure arranged on a surface of the blade body so as to cover the blade body at least partially, the expanded coating structure including one or more expanded polymer microspheres, at least one of the one or more expanded polymer microspheres including a gas encapsulated within a hollow thermoplastic polymer shell. A process for fabrication of same, including providing a blade body, depositing a liquid suspension, the liquid suspension including expandable polymer microspheres dispersed in a liquid uncured polymer precursor, each expandable polymer microsphere including a gas encapsulated within a hollow thermoplastic polymer shell, on a surface of the blade body to obtain a deposit, and expanding at least a portion of the expandable polymer microspheres in the deposit to obtain an expanded deposit including one or more expanded polymer microspheres arranged on the surface of the blade body, the liquid uncured polymer precursor being configured to remain uncured during expansion of the expandable polymer microspheres. A skincare device including such a razor blade. A process of fabricating same, including attaching such a razor blade to a cartridge.

Shaving cartridge with enhanced rinsability
The present invention relates to razor cartridge with a multifunctional seat that is attachable to a handle, plurality of blades without the spacers and a multifunctional cap obviating the use of spacers in between blades. The multifunctional seat provided with protrusions/selective seat and multifunctional cap with corresponding provisions to hold respective blade on the seat enables to dispose plurality of blades parallelly with respect to each other without the use of spacers and yet holding the blades rigidly in their predisposed positions during shaving and providing flushing channels for cleaning of the shaving debris during rinsing of the cartridge after shaving.
RAZOR BLADE AND COMPOSITION FOR A RAZOR BLADE
A razor blade has a first and a second portion. The first portion has a cutting edge at an exterior end and is angled relative to the second portion by a bending process. A bent region that can be arcuate is intermediate the first and second portions. The razor blade is manufactured from martensitic stainless steel being mostly iron and having (by weight): 0.40 to 0.60% C; 0.30 to 0.55% Si; 0.70 to 0.90% Mn; 13.0 to 14.0% Cr; 0.50 to 1.0% Mo; and 0.03 to 0.2%, more preferably 0.03-0.1% N.
