Safety knife with retractable sheath
A safety knife may include a housing defining an internal cavity, a blade coupled to the housing, and a sheath slideably engaged with the housing. The sheath may translate into the internal cavity of the housing to expose the blade. A switch may be pivotally coupled to the housing and may release the sheath from a locked position in response to depression of the switch. A locking arm may be pivotally coupled to the sheath with a projection that locks the sheath in an extended position by engaging an internal wall of the housing. A pawl may be pivotally coupled to the switch to depress the locking arm. The sheath includes a ridge that engages the pawl and rotates the pawl from a fully extended position.
BREAD LAME
A lame, for example a bread lame, is provided which may be used to score bread dough. The lame may include blade holders that may securely hold a razor blade in a curved or a straight profile, and may cover one or more corners of the razor blade. The blade holders may be securable to and removable from a handle of the bread lame. The lame may include a removable cover for the blade holders to cover exposed edges of the razor blades.
KNIFE AND SHEATH
A sheath for a knife includes a main body that includes a top face, a front face and a pair of side faces. The front face is wider than the side faces. The sheath includes a cavity that is defined by the main body. The cavity includes an opening in the top face and is configured to receive at least a portion of the knife. The sheath includes a latch that is disposed in the main body. The latch is spring loaded and has a projection as least partially positionable within the cavity.
Magnetic utility knife and holder
A utility knife includes a body with a knife blade storable within the body and one or more magnets coupled to the knife body. The magnets are able to be embedded within the body or embedded with an adapter that is configured to removably couple with the utility knife. In some embodiments, the knife blade folds out from a side of the body and into an operable position. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the knife blade slides out of a top of the body and into the operable position. The utility knife is able to magnetically couple with a base having a magnetically attractable surface. The utility knife is securable to the base in a vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation.
Knife storage system and method
A knife storage system and method is disclosed. The system and method utilize a resealable tube with retractable end-caps to safely store a hunting knife that may be contaminated with blood residue from a game animal that has been field dressed. The end-caps are configured with grooved cylinders to safely restrain a hunting knife so as to prevent dulling of the knife edge while simultaneously providing a fluid seal to the resealable tube to prevent contamination of the tube exterior with blood or other animal residue. Removal of both end-caps permits the tube and end-caps to be cleaned of game residue. Incorporated within the end-caps are integrated knife sharpening inserts comprised of ceramic and tungsten carbide to allow the knife to be safely sharpened in the field.
Protective sheath for securing a blade of a cutlery implement
A protective sheath is provided for removably securing a blade within the sheath. The sheath includes walls forming a cavity to receive the sheath within the cavity. The sheath also includes a concave detent portion having at least one arm for removably and frictionally securing the blade within the sheath so as to prevent inadvertent or unintended removal of the blade from the sheath.
KNIFE WITH LINE CUTTER
A knife with line cutter generally includes a knife blank having a main blade on one end and a line cutter on the opposing end of a tang. The line cutter has a sharpened edge on the inner curve of a hook at the end of the tang, and may extend from the handle or be recessed within the end of the handle. The tang may comprise a tang extension that allows the line cutter to transition from a retracted position to an extended position outside of the handle. The extension assembly may include a spring and/or a locking mechanism. Alternatively, the line cutter is a recessed diagonal blade. A method of forming a knife with line cutter generally includes forming a knife blank comprising a blade, tang, and line cutter; forming a handle; and securing the knife blank to the handle.
WRIST WEARABLE KNIFE
An object of the present invention is to provide a wrist wearable knife that can always be worn on the user's wrist through a wrist strap such as a watch strap or a bracelet, wherein the wrist wearable knife for wearing on a wrist of a user through a wrist strap includes: a sheath body for attaching to and detaching the wrist strap; and a blade body detachably provided in the sheath body.
SHEATH ASSEMBLY
The disclosed technology includes a knife sheath with a removable rod. The knife sheath is configured to generate sparks to ignite fire when the rod is scraped with a knife. In some embodiments, the knife sheath includes a mounting provision configured to couple with a first end of the removable rod via corresponding threaded features. In some embodiments, the knife sheath is part of a knife assembly.
BRACELET WITH INTEGRATED KNIFE
A bracelet or flexible band comprised of a flexible member that on one end is interconnected to a knife and on another end, is connected to a sheath that selectively receives the knife in the locking fashion. When needed, the knife is rotated within the sheath to facilitate release thereof from a lock that is integral with the sheath. Once removed from the sheath, the knife can be used for self-defense, cutting rope or cord in an emergency situation, or for general utility cutting tasks.
