Blade cartridges and lockable safety covers
Apparatuses, systems, and methods in which a utility knife includes a hook-type cutter, and at least one of a blade tip cap and a blade cover that is movable relative to a blade or blade cartridge. Contemplated blade tip caps can be fixedly, removably or movably attached to the blade or other portion of a utility knife cartridge. Contemplated blade covers can move from a blade covering configuration to a blade exposing configuration.
Self-Extrication Fixed Tool and Sheath
A tool comprising of serrations that are in the shape of an arched chisel grind and consist of individual scalloped-shaped serrations of varying pitch and gullet sizes that is secured in a heat resistant sheath by an internal spring release and catch. The tool is engaged to and disengaged from the sheath without mechanical manipulation and together allow the tool to be presented in a ready position in order to apply the serrations of the tool to self-extricate oneself from entanglement emergencies.
MAGNETIC UTILITY KNIFE AND HOLDER
A utility knife comprises a body with a knife blade storable within the body and one or more magnets coupled to the knife body. The magnets are able to be embedded within the body or embedded with an adapter that is configured to removably couple with the utility knife. In some embodiments, the knife blade folds out from a side of the body and into an operable position. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the knife blade slides out of a top of the body and into the operable position. The utility knife is able to magnetically couple with a base comprising a magnetically attractable surface. The utility knife is securable to the base in a vertical orientation and a horizontal orientation.
Child proof knife guard
A knife guard having a multi-step locking mechanism is disclosed. Specifically, a knife guard comprising an elongated sheath, a first fastener, and a first movable flap is disclosed. The elongated sheath defines a first cavity for a knife blade and has a first opening in communication with the first cavity. The first fastener is secured to the sheath body. The first movable flap extends from the sheath body and is movable over the first opening for partially covering the first opening. The first movable flap has a distal end connectable to the first fastener for forming a multi-step lock.
Knife sheath adapters, systems and methods
New devices, methods and systems for stowing and carrying knives, and, in particular, to adapting knife sheaths to fit in different ways when worn and carried by a user, are provided. In some aspects, specialized knife sheaths and knife sheath adapters are provided, allowing a user to change the angle and orientation of a knife when stored on or about a user's body. In some embodiments, such knife sheath adapters include both belt-mounting and sheath-mounting hardware, configured to mount onto a belt and a sheath simultaneously. In some embodiments, such a knife sheath adapter is configured to allow a user to carry a knife and sheath in a wide variety of configurations and orientations, according to a user's preference.
Sheath with modular locking attachments
A sheath with modular locking attachments is designed so that it can be secured to the body to prevent the knife and/or sheath from hanging on equipment. The locking attachments secure the sheath to the body and lock the knife in the sheath to prevent an enemy combatant from removing the knife and using it against the knife owner, while allowing the knife owner to easily unlock and deploy the knife when needed.
KNIFE WITH REMOVABLE HANDLE SCALES
This disclosure describes a knife having tool-less removable scales. The knife includes a blade having a cutting edge and a tang having one or more apertures formed therein; a first scale removably coupled to a second scale, the first and second scales releasably coupled to each other through the one or more apertures and positioned on either side of the tang, the first scale comprising a scale release actuator that is biased at least partially through an opening in the second scale such that the second and first scales are locked together until the scale release actuator is depressed. The disclosure also describes a knife sheath with a rotatable clip that can be rotated by releasing two halves of a compression bracket, moving a first half of the compression bracket away from the sheath, and rotating the clip once a toothed engagement is disengaged.
SHEATH WITH ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A sheath attaches to MOLLE webbing using one large hook that secures underneath the top of MOLLE webbing and two or more hooks that attach over the bottom of MOLLE webbing.
Combination double-sided knife and gig assembly
A combination tool that at one end has a knife and at the other end has a three pronged fork. The two sides are separated by a bridge with a loop attached thereto. One side of the tool has a thin hollow sheath that covers the side when not in use whereas the opposing side has a removable, locking handle that covers it when not in use. Both the sheath and the removable, locking handle are wrapped in paracord for use when deploying the tool and for having paracord at hand. A specialized, removable cleat is attachable and removable from the tool that provides notches that are also found on the top edge of the knife end and the top and bottom prongs of the fork end and also to provide a blunt surface that prevents the paracord from being cut when wrapped around the knife blade.
SHEATH AND KNIFE SEPARATION CONTROL STRUCTURE
A sheath and knife separation control structure includes a sheath formed of a first sheath shell and a second sheath shell and including a knife blade accommodation chamber and a stop block, a knife having a knife blade accommodated in the knife blade accommodation chamber and a stop portion stoppable by the stop block, and a clamping control unit including a clamp pivotally connected to the sheath and a first clamping portion and a second clamping portion adapted for clamping the first sheath shell and second sheath shell of the sheath such that the stop block of the sheath is stopped against the stop portion to lock the knife to the sheath. The stop portion is movable to push away the stop block for allowing separation of the knife from the sheath when the clamping control unit is unclamped from the sheath.
