WRAPPING PAPER STORAGE AND DISPENSING DEVICE
A wrapping paper storage and dispensing device comprises a storage housing housing a rotating drum having a plurality of tubular canisters. A fixed longitudinal cutting base and a corresponding blade track supported by two pivoting arms are positioned on one side of the housing. A blade carriage slidingly engages the longitudinal blade track with a sliding ratcheting lock mechanism. The ratcheting lock comprises a retractable blade in the blade carriage which locks in place when the blade is extended through a slit in the blade track. The canisters are formed by cylindrical tubes having a rectangular openings extending along their longitudinal lengths, stationary first end caps, sliding second end caps, and sliding tensioners engaged to the canister between the first end cap and the second end cap.
Automated contamination-free seed sampler and methods of sampling, testing and bulking seeds
An automated seed sampler system includes an orientation system configured to orient a seed, and a sampling station configured to remove tissue from the oriented seed. In addition, a method for removing tissue from seeds includes positioning multiple seeds together in a desired orientation in a seed transport subsystem, and removing tissue from the oriented seeds while the seeds are in the seed transport subsystem.

Device for carrying out cutting operations on open format edges of a printed product
A device for carrying out cutting operations on at least one open format edge of a printed product, includes: a transport unit configured to transfer the printed product along a guide path from a first cutting location to a second cutting location and from the second cutting location to a third cutting location for an edge-related cutting operation, the transport unit having at least one gripper configured to grip the printed product by its spine to convey the printed product from one cutting location to the next in a suspended manner, and at at least one cutting location, at least one cutting tool configured to perform the edge-related cutting operation comprising a first edge-related cutting operation and optionally at least one second subsequent edge-related cutting operation.

BINDING PROCESSING SYSTEM
Processing units 4 to 6 aligned along the transport path for a sheet bundle S are accommodated in a housing together with transport units 2 and 3. Windows 10a to 10c are provided in the housing front face, and variable-color lighting units 17 are arranged inside the housing. Light emitting surfaces (projection plates 18) of the variable-color lighting units are arranged facing the windows. Sensor units 13, 15a, and 15b that detect an anomaly of an operation of the transport unit and sensor units 14 and 16 that detect an anomaly of the operation of respective processing units are provided. A binding processing unit stops when an anomaly is detected by the sensor unit, when a system error occurs, or when an emergency stop instruction is input. The color of emission light from a light emitting surface changes to indicate the operation status of the binding processing system.
Material removal apparatus, system, and method
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for removing material from a surface of a carrier. The apparatus comprises a buckling mechanism that comprises a gripper configured to engage the material. When engaged with the material, the gripper is movable relative to the surface of the carrier to move the material relative to the surface of the carrier and to form a buckle in the material. The apparatus also comprises a separation mechanism that is coupled to the buckling mechanism and comprises a wedge that is movable relative to the surface of the carrier to be insertable into the buckle formed in the material.
Bandsaw with a shaped band blade
A bandsaw having a shaped band blade, at least one pair of flywheels (5, 6) arranged to move the shaped band blade; a motor member (7) connected to at least one flywheel of the pair of flywheels; a bench (8) for supporting and feeding at least one object to be cut, wherein the shaped band blade (1) has a band having a variable width between an area (2) of minimum width and an area (3) of maximum width.

ROPE RECOVERY TOOL
A rope recovery tool for use on an anchor rope including a weight and a saddle that enclose the anchor rope. A blade adapted to be nested between the saddle and the weight there being a recovery rope attached to the rope recovery tool. In use the tool is fed down the anchor rope until it reaches its end and the recovery rope is then used to pull on the tool causing the blade to cut the rope to make it recoverable whilst sacrificing the anchor.
