PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR BUILDING TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
The present disclosure is directed to a process and an apparatus for cutting a continuous rubber-covered belt in a process for building tyres for vehicle wheels, wherein the apparatus comprises a cutting group, in turn comprising: a knife formed by a first half-part and a second half-part and movable along a cutting direction that is tilted with respect to a supply direction of a rubber-covered belt placed beneath the knife. The process comprises: lifting a lifting element placed below the continuous rubber-covered belt and at the cutting zone, until a portion of rubber-covered belt is lifted, and lowering the single first-half part of the knife, making it slide with respect to the second half-part.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING WRAPPING FROM ROLLS
In a method for removing a wrapping, such as plastic film, from a roll of material an apparatus is used, which has a roll supporting unit, and a cutting means. The roll supporting unit is configured to rotate the roll supported thereon, and the cutting means is movable into cutting abutment against the envelope surface of the supported roll for removal of the wrapping during rotation of the roll.
Precision Skiver
A skiver for precise removal of outside material from an elongated device, such as a medical catheter or the like, includes a longitudinal recess in a surface and a transverse replaceable blade therein. A removable cover holds the blade in place. In some embodiments, the skiver has a handle extending from the skiver. In other embodiments, an automated mechanism is used to move the elongated device through the skiver.
CUTTING DEVICE AND RECORDING DEVICE
A cutting device includes a cutter carriage with a cutter blade that is capable of moving in a moving direction, a driving roller that is downstream of the cutter carriage and is configured to transport the medium, a support unit that is configured to support the medium, and a cover provided in a switchable manner between a first state and a second state. In the first state, the cover is configured to support the medium by covering a passage region for the cutter carriage that is formed between a downstream end of the support unit and the transport mechanism. In the second state, the cover opens the passage region by retracting from a position in the first state. An abutting portion is arranged in a gap formed between the cover and the driving roller, and is configured to abut on the medium from below in a height direction.
