A tool for advancing and tensioning a strap of an erosion control system through an aperture of a retaining washer to provide hold down pressure to an erosion control mat is described. The tool has a foot member that is positioned atop the retaining washer and serves to hold it in place during the installation operation. An upright support bar extends above the foot member and a slide tensioning subassembly is mounted for sliding movement on the support bar. A clamp is carried on the slide tensioning subassembly for releasably grasping the strap. A handle is mounted on the upright support bar for up and down sliding movement and interconnected to the slide tensioning subassembly and the clamp so that downward movement of the handle closes the clamp to grasp the strap and pull the slide member upwardly to advance the strap through the washer.

A manual automatic device configured for fitting cable ties around a bundle of cables or the like. The device includes a control interface allowing the user of the device to choose an operating mode that tightens but does not cut the cable tie and in which the electric motor which drives the cable tie in tension is controlled in reverse rotation to eject the cable tie before cutting. A method for controlling the device is also presented herein.

A device for cutting a medicine tablet includes a base extending along an axis, a cutting device having a fixed cutter and a movable cutter base, and a carrying plate movably disposed inside the base and having a carrying face for a medicine tablet. The fixed cutter is fixedly disposed inside the base, the movable cutter base is optionally positionably moves between protruding and retreating positions axially, the movable cutter base has a movable cutter, when the movable cutter is in the protruding position, a blade of the movable cutter is near a blade of the fixed cutter, and when the movable cutter base is in the retreating position, the blade of the movable cutter is remote from the blade of the fixed cutter. A guidance system provides step-wise, real-time or near real-time video guidance to a cutting machine operator to efficiently cut up a lift into multiple products, where determining an efficient sequence of steps is laborious for an ordinary operator. The display can advantageously show the operator where to temporarily store various logs that are cut off from the lift, and how and when to reinsert them into the cutting machine for further cuts, whether by themselves, in side-by-side manner, and/or in stacks.
