CUTTING DEVICE, POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A cutting device is configured to cut, in an arc shape, an end of a sheet conveyed in a conveyance direction. The cutting device includes an arc-shaped cutting blade; a switching mechanism; and a contact-and-separation mechanism. The switching mechanism is configured to switch a posture of the cutting blade in accordance with a position of the sheet facing the cutting blade. The contact-and-separation mechanism is configured to bring the cutting blade into contact with the sheet in a contact direction orthogonal to a surface of the sheet and away from the sheet in a separation direction opposite the contact direction, to cut the end of the sheet in the arc shape.
ROLLER FOR PAPER CUTTING DEVICE AND ROTARY CUTTING MODULE WITH THE SAME
A rotary cutting module for a paper cutting device has a roller and a paper-cutting blade. The roller extends along a rotating axis. A blade mount and multiple dynamic balancing recess sets are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the roller. The dynamic balancing recess sets are disposed apart from each other along the rotating axis. Each one of the dynamic balancing recess sets has multiple balancing recesses annularly disposed apart from each other. A depth of one of the balancing recesses of one of the dynamic balancing recess sets is different from a depth of one of the balancing recesses of another one of the dynamic balancing recess sets. Center of mass of each axial segment of the rotary cutting module can be adjusted individually to mitigate couple unbalance, thereby mitigating dynamic unbalance.
Electronic cutting machine
An electronic cutting machine includes at least one housing to which a drive roller is coupled for moving a sheet to be cut in a first direction and a cutter assembly coupled to the housing and moveable in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction.
FOOD PROCESSOR WITH ADJUSTABLE BLADE ASSEMBLY
A food processor includes a bowl with a removable lid. Food items are advanced into the bowl through a feed tube formed in the lid where they are cut by a blade assembly. A rotating disk is adjustable relative to the blade assembly to vary the thickness of the food items cut by the blade assembly.
TAPE LAYUP SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Tape layup systems and associated methods. A tape layup system includes a feed spool and an uptake spool. The feed spool is configured to carry a tape roll of tackifier tape that includes a tackifier material and a backing material, and the uptake spool is configured to carry a backing material roll of the backing material. The tape layup system further includes a torque transmission system configured to convey a torque from the feed spool to the uptake spool. The tape layup system is configured such that conveying a torque from the feed spool to the uptake spool operates to draw the backing material onto the backing material roll. A method of operating a tape layup system includes generating tension in a tackifier tape to rotate a feed spool and consequently rotating an uptake spool to draw a backing material onto a backing material roll.
Precision Skiver
A skiver for precise removal of outside material from an elongated device, such as a medical catheter or the like, includes a longitudinal recess in a surface and a transverse replaceable blade therein. A removable cover holds the blade in place. In some embodiments, the skiver has a handle extending from the skiver. In other embodiments, an automated mechanism is used to move the elongated device through the skiver.
APPARATUS FOR PERFORATING A NONLINEAR LINE OF WEAKNESS
A perforating apparatus has a base having at least one counter component. The counter component has a length, L.sub.CC, and a nonlinear repeat length. A support is operatively engaged with the base. A blade having a length, L.sub.B, is disposed on the support so as to cooperate in interacting relationship with the counter component. The blade has a plurality of teeth. A web material is perforated as it passes between the base and the support and the blade cooperates with the counter component. A driving means is associated with one of the support and the base to reciprocally shift the one of the support or the base for a distance, D, in a shifting direction.
Knife assembly
A knife assembly for use in a veneer cutting machine such as a rotary veneer lathe and a veneer slicer includes a knife blade, a knife blade holder and a knife adjusting bolt with a lock nut. The knife blade holder includes a holder block having formed therethrough a threaded hole through which the knife adjusting bolt is adjustably inserted. The holder block has a first support surface that is in supporting contact with a part of one surface of the knife blade on the side thereof where a bevel face of the knife blade is formed and a second support surface that is in supporting contact with a part of a base end surface located opposite from and extending parallel to a cutting edge of the knife blade.
MOLD SEPARATION METHOD
A mold separation method includes the following steps: providing a mold separation device including a carrying mechanism, a scraping mechanism, and two separation mechanisms, wherein the scraping mechanism is disposed at an edge of the carrying mechanism, and the separation mechanisms are disposed at the edge of the carrying mechanism and are located on two opposite sides of the scraping mechanism; placing a first mold and a second mold bonded to the first mold on the carrying mechanism; causing the scraping mechanism to scrape off a spilled glue produced when the first mold is bonded to the second mold; and after scraping off the spilled glue, causing the separation mechanisms to pull open the first mold and the second mold so that the first mold and the second mold are separated from each other.
Roll cutter device
This roll cutter device is provided with roll units in which a thin plate material is passed between a pair of rolls. Three sets of the roll units are provided in an axial direction of the rolls in such a way that central axes of the rolls lie on one straight line in the axial direction. The configuration is such that a plurality of the roll units including an upper roll and a receiving roll exist in the axial direction.
