A CUTTING APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING BAGS UTILIZING A ROTARY CUTTING DIE
A cutting apparatus including an apparatus frame and a cutting station, for forming interconnected bags, is provided. The cutting station includes a rotary anvil having an axis of rotation and mounted to a first frame structure, a rotary cutting die disposed adjacent to said rotary anvil and having an axis of rotation parallel to said first axis of rotation, said rotary cutting die including a rotatable cylindrical shaft carrying a die blade, said rotary cutting die being mounted to a frame structure, and an adjustment mechanism for varying the distance between said anvil and said cutting die, said mechanism including a rotatable spindle having threaded portions of different pitch. A first threaded portion engages a threaded portion of said first or said second frame structure and said second threaded portion engaging a threaded portion of said apparatus frame.

Sanitary tissue product with a shaped line of weakness
A roll of sanitary tissue product that includes a shaped line of weakness, wherein the roll of sanitary tissue product exhibits a roll compressibility of from about 2% to about 10%, and the sanitary tissue product has a Full Sheet Average Trapezoidal Tear Strength of about 8 g to about 20 g, as measured by the Full Sheet Average Trapezoidal Tear Force Method.
Sanitary tissue product with a shaped line of weakness
A roll of sanitary tissue product that includes a shaped line of weakness, wherein the roll of sanitary tissue product exhibits a roll compressibility of from about 2% to about 10%, and a Full Sheet Tensile Strength of between about 400 g and about 850 g, as measured by the Full Sheet Tensile Strength Test Method.
Apparatus for perforating a nonlinear line of weakness
A perforating apparatus has a base having at least one counter component. The counter component has a length, L.sub.CC, and a nonlinear shape having a shape width, W. A support is operatively engaged with the base. A blade having a length, L.sub.B, is disposed on the support so as to cooperate in interacting relationship with the counter component. The blade has a plurality of teeth. A web material is perforated as it passes between the base and the support and the blade cooperates with the counter component. A driving means is associated with one of the support and the base to reciprocally shift the one of the support or the base for a distance, D, in a shifting direction. The distance, D, is at least the translational distance that one tooth travels to cover the shape width, W.

Apparatus for perforating a web material
A perforating apparatus has a first roll and a second roll, each being operatively engageable with a support. The first roll has a first longitudinal axis about which the first roll rotates and a first anvil disposed on the first roll and having a first design. The second roll has a second longitudinal axis about which the second roll rotates. A second anvil is disposed on the second roll. The second anvil has a second design. At least one blade is disposed on the support so as to cooperate in interacting relationship with one of the first anvil and the second anvil when the support is operatively engaged with the one of the first anvil and the second anvil. The apparatus comprises two alternative paths for the web material.
