BLOCKING ELEMENT FOR AN EMERGENCY BRAKE UNIT OF A SAWING DEVICE AND SAWING DEVICE
A blocking element for an emergency brake unit of a sawing device has a circular disc-shaped saw blade. The blocking element has a bearing portion, via which the blocking element is configured to be mounted on the sawing device, a head portion which is designed to engage into the saw blade selectively for braking purposes, and a deformation portion which is located between the bearing portion and the head portion and/or connects the bearing portion and the head portion to one another and which is arcuate and designed to be plastically shortened to brake the saw blade in an arc circumferential direction. A sawing device has a circular disc-shaped saw blade and an emergency brake unit. The emergency brake unit has such a blocking element which is mounted on the sawing device such that it can engage selectively into the saw blade to brake the saw blade.
SAWING DEVICE COMPRISING AN EMERGENCY BRAKE UNIT AND METHOD FOR MAKING A TRIGGERED EMERGENCY BRAKE UNIT READY FOR OPERATION
A sawing device has a frame, a circular disc-shaped saw blade mounted rotatably with respect to the frame, and an emergency brake unit. The emergency brake unit has a blocking element, an actuator unit and a control unit. The blocking element has a bearing portion and a head portion designed to engage into the saw blade selectively for braking. The actuator unit is coupled to the blocking element in a normal blocking element position, such that the blocking element engages with the saw blade selectively with the actuator unit. The blocking element can be selectively disassembled from the frame separately from the actuator unit and/or from the control unit. A triggered emergency brake unit of a sawing device ready for operation may be provided. In this regard, a blocking element is disassembled separately from the actuator unit and/or separately from the control unit and an unused blocking element is mounted.
CIRCULAR SAW
A circular saw may include a shoe and a blade guard assembly coupled to the shoe, the blade guard assembly including an upper blade guard and a lower blade guard movable between an extended position and a retracted position. A circular saw may include a housing assembly coupled to the blade guard assembly, an output shaft, and a blade clamp coupled to output shaft, the blade clamp configured to hold the saw blade. A circular saw may include a brushless direct current (DC) motor positioned within the housing assembly and operable to rotate the output shaft. A circular saw may include an electronic controller configured to perform a field weakening operation on the brushless DC motor.
TABLE SAW SAFETY DEVICE
A table saw safety device is disclosed, which mounts from above, enhancing safety when using dado blades. The table saw safety device comprises an arm component that supports a pair of large anti-kickback components positioned above the blade, allowing workpieces to be safely maneuvered over the dado blade while maintaining high clearance. This setup not only facilitates safe completion of cuts but also ensures the user remains clear of the operational zone. The arm component attaches securely to the table saw's side and is compatible with both existing saws and new installations. The device is also comprised of an adjustable riving knife integrated into the throat plate, a clear guard with adjustable width, and a flexible boom accommodating different table sizes.

A blade guard assembly is for a table saw including a riving knife. The blade guard assembly incudes a main body, at least one guard bale, a fixed locking pin, a movable locking pin, a handle, and a linkage. The main body defines a longitudinal axis, and the at least one guard bale is rotatably connected to the main body. The fixed locking pin is connected to the main body. The movable locking pin is movable relative to the main body along the longitudinal axis. The handle is connected to the main body at a pivot point. The handle is movable to a locked position and a release position by rotation about the pivot point. The linkage is connected to the movable locking pin and to the handle. The linkage is connected to the handle at a connection point that is spaced apart from the pivot point.

The invention relates to a sawing device for splitting up a workpiece, in particular a wooden workpiece, having a saw blade, a first drive unit, in order to set the saw blade in rotation, in particular a first electric motor, and a protective apparatus, wherein the protective apparatus is arranged at least in sections around the periphery of the saw blade in such a way that an operator located next to the sawing device can be protected against the rotating saw blade, wherein the protective apparatus comprises a movable part, wherein the movable part is arranged pivotably about the pivot point of the saw blade in such a way that, as a result of the introduction of the workpiece into the sawing device for a splitting process, the movable part is pivoted in such a way that acting of the rotating saw blade on the workpiece is enabled. Usage of the saw which is safe for an operator can be ensured by way of the measuring apparatus according to the invention.
