Pen needle assembly apparatus
A pen needle assembly apparatus (60) includes a housing (30), a movable support (40) for supporting a pen needle (18), an ejector (80) for ejecting a used pen needle from the support, and an actuator (56). The support (40) is rotated relative to the housing (30) to index the pen needles to a position where the pen needle can be accessed and coupled to a delivery device (10). The used pen needle (18) is returned to the well (42) in the support and the support rotated toward the ejector (80) where the used pen needle is ejected to a compartment (50) in the housing for disposal. A cover (60) on the housing includes at least one opening (65) for accessing the pen needle when the support is rotated to position a pen needle relative to the opening in the cover.
Tray for handling syringe barrels
A handling system for use in the manufacture of syringe barrels includes a tray having an array of apertures with a tubular upstand around each aperture, each upstand at the upper end thereof defining a support surface for a syringe barrel. Each syringe barrel comprises a cylindrical part and an enlargement at or adjacent the rear end of the barrel and carries at its forward end a safe needle device or a needle shield of a greater diameter than the syringe barrel. At least one of the enlargement of the syringe barrel or the support surface has a profile tapering or rounded inwardly in the downward direction so that when the tray is supported generally horizontally and a syringe barrel is lowered into an upstand, the syringe barrel is centered by co-operation between the enlargement and the support surface. The enlargement may be a flange at the rear end of the syringe barrel or could be a further component fitted to the barrel.
Pen needle dispensing apparatus
An apparatus is disclosed for storing and dispensing a pen needle for an injection device, including a packaging assembly including a pliable outer cover, the outer cover having a hub portion, a needle portion disposed at a distal end of the hub portion, and a flange disposed at a proximal end of the hub portion, the hub portion having internally protruding splines or other structures for engaging a hub of a pen needle. The hub portion is sufficiently pliable for a user to press gripping portions of the hub portion so that corresponding internal portions of the hub portion between the splines contacts the pen needle hub to increase a surface area contact between the outer cover and a pen needle therein.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector operable in a single activation step. The auto-injector is automatically armed when removed from its carrying receptacle. The auto-injector may be prefilled with more than one constituent of a beneficial agent, stored in separated compartments, in such an arrangement that the compartments will automatically merge when the auto-injector is removed from its carrying receptacle.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing, filling and packaging medical devices and medical containers
Medical devices such as medical containers can be formed of glass and annealed which produces a clean device having a low bio-burden, or formed by plastic molding which produces a clean device. The clean devices are immediately transferred to a controlled environment such as a clean room or localized area to avoid the need to maintain cleanliness levels in an entire room. Syringe tip closures can be introduced into the housing assembly, where syringe barrels and tip closures are cleaned with filtered ionized air and the tip closures are coupled to the barrels. The syringe barrels can be filled with a substance and a closure member attached. While still in the housing assembly the syringe barrels can be formed into an array and placed in a clean outer container, which is then closed and sealed.
SYRINGE HOLDING DEVICE AND ORGANIZER
Devices for holding syringes are disclosed that can hold the syringes in a manner to allow for safe and easy access and use of the syringes by a practitioner. The holders according to the present invention can comprise a holder body with a plurality of cradles or openings for holding a syringe body, with the cradles/openings arranged to allow for fast and convenient mounting and removal of syringes to and from the holder. On the surface of the holder body opposite the cradles/opening, the holders can comprise mounting devices that allow for mounting of the holders to different surfaces including horizontal, angled, and vertical surfaces. This allows for mounting of the holders to the most convenient surface for use.
CARRIER RACK FOR PHARMACEUTICAL CONTAINERS
A carrier rack for pharmaceutical containers or medical packaging products having a non-cylindrical symmetric flange. The carrier rack includes a plurality of through-openings defined by the carrier rack for accommodating the pharmaceutical containers or medical packaging products, and at least one member protruding above a top side of the carrier rack and having a height. Each member includes at least one of at least one bevel and at least one radius, wherein the at least one member is allocated to each one of the plurality of through-openings, and wherein at least one of the at least one bevel and the at least one radius interact with the non-cylindrical symmetric flange in such a way that the pharmaceutical containers or medical packaging products are aligned.
ASSEMBLY FOR HANDLING A CONTAINER
This invention relates to a suction cup, a negative pressure transfer means a handling assembly comprising the suction cup and the negative pressure transfer means, a tray for securing the handling assemblies and a container grasping system comprising the tray and handling assemblies.
The suction cup comprises channels that are secured by suction onto a perimeter of an aperture of a hole of the container and a protrusion positioned internally in relation to the channels that closes a hole of the container. The suction cup enables the container to be grasped and handled while closing its hole. The use of numerous suction cups in parallel enables numerous containers to be handled in parallel.
NEEDLE ATTACHMENT AND DETACHMENT ASSIST DEVICE
A needle attachment and detachment assist device includes a frame body, a syringe guide jig, and a needle guide jig. A guide hole is formed in the syringe guide jig. In the needle guide jig, a needle insertion hole is formed on a central axis of the guide hole. The needle insertion hole includes a center hole portion and a rib guide groove. When a syringe is inserted into the guide hole, and a needle member is further inserted into the needle insertion hole, rotation prevention of the needle member is achieved. In this state, when the syringe is rotated in a first direction, the needle member can be clamped to a thread portion of the syringe. When the syringe is rotated in a second direction, the needle member can be loosened.
Syringe storage tray
A storage system is provided. The system may include a tray having at least one recess in which at least one syringe is disposed, the syringe including a barrel with first and second barrel ends, and a stopper fixedly disposed between the first and second barrel ends. A tool attached to the stopper through the second barrel end, the tool having a first end attached to the stopper and a second end attached to or abutting the barrel or a surface of the recess, the first end being selectively adjustable relative to the second end to vary the distance between the first and second ends of the tool. In addition or in the alternative to the tool, the system may include a motion generator attached externally to the syringe, the motion generator being one of at least a vibration generator and a rotating frame.
