The conveyance portions convey the raw materials in an axial direction. The paths each include an entrance and an exit. The raw materials, the conveyance of which is limited by the barrier portions, flow in from the entrance. The raw materials flowing in from the entrance flow through the paths in an opposite direction to a conveyance direction. The exit is opened in the outer circumferential surface of the screw main body at a position outside the conveyance portions in which the entrance is opened.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BIOCOMPOSITE MATERIALS COMPRISING CELLULOSE
Method for manufacturing a composite material, comprising the following steps: a) plasticizing a binder in an extruder, wherein the binder comprises a polymer; b) providing a mixture of a cellulosic material and a hydrophobic agent dissolved and/or dispersed in a liquid carrier; c) mechanically shearing and drying the mixture in an extruder whereby liquid is at least partly extracted from the mixture or is not present in liquid form anymore; and d) blending the dried mixture with the plasticized binder.
Method for preparing bio-based composite using palm biomass powder as raw material
A method for preparing a bio-based composite using palm biomass powder as raw material, which belongs to the technical field of preparation methods for bio-based composites. During palm micropowder washing, 100 parts by weight of 600-1,200 mesh palm micropowder is placed in a reactor, and 400-500 parts by weight of acetone is added to the reactor in a 1:4 or 1:5 bath ratio; during surface treatment of palm micropowder, the reaction system after solvent displacement is heated to 80-100° C., and distillate is dehydrated with a 3A molecular sieve and then refluxed to a reactor; bio-based resin is compounded and extruded. At least one embodiment of the present invention solves the problem that use of palm as a biomass raw material leads to impurity migration and insufficient product performance due to high small oily molecule content.
PRODUCTION OF RUBBER MIXTURES IN A RUBBER MIXTURE PRODUCTION LINE INCORPORATING ONE OR MORE TWIN-SCREW MIXING AND EXTRUSION MACHINES
A production line (100) has an internal mixer (MI); at least one hot mixing line (102) disposed downstream of the internal mixer and including at least one twin-screw mixing machine (B.sub.Xc) that performs a process of mixing the rubber mixture exiting the internal mixer; at least one cold mixing line (104) disposed downstream of the hot mixing line and including at least one twin-screw mixing machine (B.sub.XF) that performs a process of mixing the rubber mixture exiting the hot mixing line; a batch-off installation (BO) disposed downstream of the cold mixing line that performs an anti-sticking and cooling process of the rubber mixture exiting the cold mixing line; and an end-of-line installation (FL) disposed downstream of the batch-off installation that performs one or more end-of-line processes of the rubber mixture.
Extruder screw having paths within the screw, extruder, and extrusion method
An extruder screw includes a screw main body, conveyance portions, barrier portions, and paths. The raw materials, the conveyance of which is limited by the barrier portions, flow in from the entrance. The raw materials flowing in from the entrance flow through the paths in an opposite direction to a conveyance direction of the conveyance portions. The exit is opened in the outer circumferential surface of the screw main body at a position on an upstream side in the conveyance direction in the conveyance portions in which the entrance is opened.
ON-LINE SYNCHRONOUS REGISTERING CO-EXTRUSION SPC FLOOR AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREFOR
On-line synchronous registering co-extrusion SPC floor includes a base material layer, a decorative layer, and a wear-resistant layer. The decorative layer is arranged on the base material layer and provides patterns and designs. The wear-resistant layer is arranged on the decorative layer, is a transparent layer or a semi-transparent layer, and is provided with a concave-convex surface. The patterns or designs correspond to the concave-convex surface; the base material layer is composed of an elastic layer, a strength layer, and a stable layer, and shading is pressed on the bottom layer of the stable layer. Two co-extrusion lines are used for simultaneous extrusion to achieve an ABA three-layer effect of an SPC base material layer. A calender matches a synchronous registering system, and the patterns of the decorative layer are formed in a rolling manner.
Extrusion methods wherein material is guided through a passage crossing over between adjacent cylindrical bodies
A screw includes a screw main body, a conveyance portion conveying a raw material, and a passage provided in the screw main body. The passage includes a first passage element, a second passage element, and a third passage element. The screw main body has a plurality of cylindrical bodies arranged in an axial direction of the rotating shaft. At least a portion of the conveyance portion is formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical bodies adjacent to each other, and the passage is formed in the cylindrical body so as to cross over between the adjacent cylindrical bodies.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING BULKED CONTINUOUS FILAMENT FROM COLORED RECYLED PET
A system comprising: (1) a grinding unit configured to receive and grind recycled PET bottles into a group of polymer flakes comprising up to about ten percent colored polymer flakes and balance substantially clear polymer flakes; (2) a washing unit configured to wash the group of polymer flakes; and (3) an extruder configured to extrude material in a plurality of different extrusion streams. The extruder may be further configured to: (1) receive a concentrate-polymer mixture comprising a mixture of the polymer flakes and a color concentrate; (2) melt the concentrate-polymer mixture to produce a polymer melt; (3) reduce a pressure within the extruder; and (4) pass the polymer melt through the extruder so that the polymer melt is divided into the plurality of extrusion streams. The system may then filter the polymer melt through at least one filter and form the polymer melt into bulked continuous carpet filament.
Device and method for producing a dyed and an undyed plastic melt
A device for producing a dyed plastic melt and an undyed plastic melt includes a multi-shaft screw extruder, a first metering installation, a second metering installation, and a control installation for selecting between a first operating mode for producing the dyed plastic melt and a second operating mode for producing the undyed plastic melt. The first metering installation serves for feeding an undyed plastic material through a first infeed opening into a housing of the multi-shaft screw extruder, and the second metering installation serves for feeding at least one color granulate through a second infeed opening into the housing. The plastic material is fed exclusively by way of the first infeed opening such that residual color granulate or dyeing agent contained therein, respectively, which is still located in the second metering installation or in the region of the second infeed opening does not contaminate the undyed plastic melt.
