SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR RECOVERY OF MIXED MULTI-PLASTIC AND NATURAL FIBER
Methods, systems and agglomerators for recovering mixed multi-plastic and natural fiber are described. The systems, methods, and the agglomerator operate at low temperatures to avoid degradation of the plastic film. The agglomerator includes cutting discs that are adjustable.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Systems and methods for an automated device that reduces a footprint of a bottle by moving linearly moving and rotating the bottle, while a blade cuts a body of the bottle into a continuous strip.
METHOD FOR RECYCLING POLYESTER
A method for producing filaments from polyester waste, having the steps of mechanically comminuting the polyester waste, post-condensing the comminuted polyester waste in the solid phase, melting the post-condensed polyester waste and extruding the melt in order to form filaments. Prior to carrying out the melting step for extrusion purposes, the method is completely carried out below the melting temperature of the polyester waste. The solution viscosity of the post-condensed polyester waste equals at least 1.7. Possible applications of the filaments according to the invention are, for example, reinforcement carcasses for vehicle tyres.
Recyclable aerosol dispensers
A polymeric aerosol dispenser that is recyclable. The recyclable polymeric aerosol dispenser including all polymeric components. These components being selectively either fixedly joined or separably joined based on the material composition of the component. Further, components may be selected for their density and, thus, their ability to float or sink during the recycling process. The recyclable polymeric aerosol dispenser is designed to minimize its impact on the PET recycling stream and to align with industry recyclability guidelines.
METHOD FOR RECYCLING PLASTIC
A method for recycling plastic such as plastic toys includes grinding the plastic into plastic pieces, sorting the plastic pieces based on type of plastic, sorting the plastic pieces based on colour, after sorting of the plastic pieces, shredding the sorted plastic pieces into plastic flakes, and processing the plastic flakes into a recycled good by means of rotational moulding. During the rotational moulding, a micronized plastic is added.
Methods for manufacturing bulked continuous carpet filament
A method of manufacturing bulked continuous carpet filament from recycled polymer. In various embodiments, the method includes: (1) reducing recycled polymer material into polymer flakes; (2) cleansing the polymer flakes; (3) melting the flakes into a polymer melt; (4) removing water and contaminants from the polymer melt by dividing the polymer melt into a plurality of polymer streams and exposing those streams to pressures below 25 millibars or another predetermined pressure; (5) recombining the streams; and (6) using the resulting purified polymer to produce bulked continuous carpet filament.
PROCESS FOR MOULDING POLYMERIC FOAM CORE SANDWICH ARTICLES
A process for producing a polymeric article is provided that includes: sequentially filling a female mould (11) with a first, second, and third batches, wherein the first and third batches include first and third polymeric materials (1p, 3p), and the second batch includes a second polymeric material (2p) and a blowing agent (2b), closing the thus filled cavity with a lid (12) to form a mould defining a closed cavity (10c) of constant volume in time, heating the mould (10) to a processing temperature, to melt the first, second, and third polymeric materials (1p-3p) and to expand the second polymer agent by activation of the blowing agent, cooling and removing the lid (12) to open the cavity and extracting the polymeric article. At least the second polymeric material (2p) includes at least 50 wt. % of recycled polymer in the form of shredded flakes.
PRECONDITIONED RESIN AGGREGATE
Systems and methods are provided for making aggregate from comingled waste plastics. For example, there is provided a method of making a preconditioned absorptive resin aggregate, the method including: obtaining a supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with a preconditioning agent that comprises at least one of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide; mixing the supply of granulated mixed plastic waste treated with the calcium oxide preconditioning agent with one or more additives to form a plastic waste mixture, the one or more additives comprising pozzolans; hot extruding the plastic waste mixture to form an extruded product comprising waste plastic material; cooling the extruded product; and processing the extruded product to form an aggregate. Products incorporating such aggregates, such as, for example, lightweight construction blocks, are also provided. Also provided are methods of forming a waste plastics feedstock.
METHOD OF RECYCLING INSOLE SCRAP, PULVERIZED INSOLE SCRAP, AND FOAM FOR SHOE MANUFACTURED THEREBY
A method of recycling a large amount of insole scrap stack is proposed. The method includes forming a plate-shaped stack made of flat-plate-shaped foam and woven fabric, separating an insole scrap stack from the plate-shaped stack, and forming a pulverized insole scrap having an average diameter of 0.05 to 0.7 mm by cool-pulverizing or freeze-pulverizing the insole scrap stack at 10° C. or less. The pulverized insole scrap may be used for manufacturing foam.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FACILITATING POLLUTION-FREE TIRE RECYCLING PROCESSES
A system and method for freezing and breaking down tires or other materials is disclosed. The system and method for freezing and breaking down tires includes using a shredder to shred the tires, using a filter to screen the tire shreds, using a water sprayer to rinse the tire shreds, using a freezing tunnel to freeze the tire shreds before they are crushed into tire grains, using a magnet to remove any metallic fibers, filtering out any oversized tire grains for re-freezing and re-crushing, and using a separator to separate out any oversized or undersized pieces before bagging the final tire grains for re-use and recycling.
