Molding wafer chamber
A bottom chase and a top chase of a molding system form a cavity to house a molding carrier and one or more devices. The molding carrier is placed in a desired location defined by a guiding component. The guiding component may be entirely within the cavity, or extend above a surface of the bottom chase and extend over a contacting edge of the top chase and the bottom chase, so that there is a gap between the edge of the top chase and the edge of the molding carrier which are filled by molding materials to cover the edge of the molding carrier. Releasing components may be associated with the top chase and/or the bottom chase, which may be a plurality of tape roller with a releasing film, or a plurality of vacuum holes within the bottom chase, or a plurality of bottom pins with the bottom chase.

A mounting element, i.e., a retaining element or clip, for mounting a terminal element at a component housing of a component body by extrusion-coating the component body at least in part with a coating material, which is designed (i) for holding and positioning a terminal element at a component housing of a component body while the component body is being extrusion-coated with a coating material, and (ii) for accommodating at least in part in the interior of a molding tool during the coating, (iii) which includes at least two support elements, and (iv) in which the at least two support elements are designed so that they are supported at an inner surface of the molding tool when the mounting element is held at the component housing of the component body while the component body and the mounting element are accommodated in the interior of the molding tool.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING AN AT LEAST TWO-LAYER COMPOSITE SERVING AS A LINING FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a composite includes providing a first template including a cutout for a first layer of the composite, disposing the first layer in the cutout, and disposing a tablet, provided with an adhesive, on the first layer such that the first layer adheres to the tablet. Next, the tablet is removed, together with the first layer adhered thereto, from the cutout, and an adhesive is applied to a side of the first layer facing away from the tablet. A second template is provided that includes a cutout for a second layer of the composite, and then the second layer is disposed in the cutout. The tablet, together with the first layer adhered thereto, is disposed on the second layer disposed in the cutout of the second template, and the tablet is removed, together with the composite produced from the first and second layers, from the second template.

A device and a method for loading prefabricated parts into a molding tool of a press for the production of molded parts, in particular for the production of elastomer molded parts. For this purpose, the device comprises a plate-like carrier element with a top and a bottom intended for attachment on or to the press and a holding device for accommodating at least one interchangeable platen equipped with the parts. The holding unit is arranged on the supporting element at a clear distance from its bottom and the interchangeable platen comprises a plurality of passage openings to accommodate the parts. Furthermore, the device comprises a platen with pins which are arranged between the bottom of the supporting element and the holding unit, wherein the pins align with the passage openings.

An example mold assembly includes a first core, a second core, and a retaining cap. The first core defines an insert seat configured to receive a mold insert. The first core and the second core are configured to define a mold volume adjacent the mold insert. The retaining cap is disposed about a curved end portion defined by the second core, and defines a curved cap surface in contact with the curved end portion. The retaining cap is configured to secure the second core at a predetermined orientation relative to the first core within predetermined tolerances. An example technique includes positioning a mold insert in the mold assembly, disposing the retaining cap about the second core, securing the second core at a predetermined orientation relative to the first core within predetermined tolerances, and depositing mold material within the mold volume.

A method includes disposing fibrous material with a first mandrel, a second mandrel and a first mold section, the first mandrel including a first base, the second mandrel including a second base, and the first mold section including a support surface; arranging the first base on the support surface; arranging the second base on the support surface adjacent a first side of the first base, the arranging including moving the second base along a first trajectory that is substantially coincident with a corner between the first side of the first base and the support surface; arranging a second mold section with the first mold section to provide a mold, where the first mandrel and the second mandrel are between the first and the second mold sections; injecting resin into the mold to engage the fibrous material; and curing the resin to form a composite component.

A method and an apparatus form aluminium screw capsules with a safety ring made of synthetic plastics for tamperproof closing of containers. An aluminium capsule body is inserted into a moulding cavity of a mould conformed and arranged for the overmoulding of a safety ring on an edge of an annular wall of the capsule body. An annular sealing zone is defined for the synthetic plastic material between a first surface of the capsule body and a mould first portion inserted into the central cavity of the capsule body to form a safety ring anchored to the capsule body.

PRESSURE SENSING SYSTEM AND SEAT CUSHION HAVING THE PRESSURE SENSING SYSTEM
A pressure sensing system (24), seat cushion (20) incorporating the pressure sensing system, and method of sensing a weight group associated with an occupant of an automotive seat are described. The pressure sensing system includes a layer of an electrically conductive foam (28) and a flexible printed circuit (26) that includes a flexible substrate (26a) and N horizontal sensing wires (26b) and M vertical sensing wires (26c) securely placed on a top surface of the flexible substrate. The horizontal sensing wires intersect with the vertical sensing wires and form NM intersections. The layer of an electrically conductive foam is placed on top of the N horizontal sensing wires and the M vertical sensing wires. When a pressure is applied to the layer of the electrically conductive foam, each intersection generates in real time an electric flux density value to reflect a degree of a compression caused by the pressure to a corresponding point of the electrically conductive foam.
