MOLD FOR AN INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
A mold for use with an injection molding machine includes a body having a surface and a ring protruding from the surface for aligning the body and a platen. The ring defines a right circular cylinder having a protruding end, the protruding end having subtracted therefrom a generally wedge-shaped portion, the protruding end forming a tapered end.
Cast mould and method for manufacturing contact or intraocular lenses
A cast mold for manufacturing a contact lens or an intraocular lens, wherein the cast mold is provided with a central part and a bearing ring and a flexible connection between the central part and the bearing ring. Further, an injection mold is provided for manufacturing such a cast mold and a method for manufacturing such a cast mold. The injection mold is provided with a mold cavity with a plunger biased by a spring towards the mold cavity which serves for compensating shrinkage which occurs during the curing of the plastic injected into the injection mold. Also described is a method for manufacturing a contact lens or intraocular lens with the aid of the cast mold, as well as a contact lens or intraocular lens obtained with this method.
Method for producing a molded body and molded body
By using key structures which allow an unambiguous relative positioning, it is possible to produce mold blanks consisting of several layers, from which molded bodies can be produced by machining in an automated manner. These bodies may not only have an irregular but predefined shape, but they also have at least one irregular but predefined parting surface between two layers, the positioning on this parting surface relative to the surface being predefined.
Positioning device with multi-directional lock
A positioning device for aligning and guiding a first half and a second half of a mold together. The positioning device may comprise a housing including identical wall members configured to define a cavity. Each of the wall members comprise a tab, the tab defining a recess and a protrusion on opposed sides of the tab such that the protrusion and recess defined by the tab of one of the wall member is configured to interlock with the recess or protrusion of the tab of an adjacent wall member to connect adjacent wall members. A first member may be slidably disposed within the cavity of the housing, the first member defining a void. The positioning device may further comprise a second member comprising a base and a protrusion, wherein the protrusion is configured to matingly engage the void of the first member.
Insertable aperture molding
Top and bottom ferrous carrier plates have a plurality of pairs of mating insert receptacles in full carrier plates and interlocked partial carrier plates. Pairs of mating nonferrous pre-molded inserts with mating mold cavities insert with a three axis floating fit into mating insert receptacles. Insert contact faces each comprising a flat surface portion having a plurality of mating alignment elements adapted for automatic precision alignment of the mating pair of pre-molded inserts. An injector structure comprising a plunger and pot bushing structure communicates with a pot on each top pre-molded insert. The bushing structure has a solidifying cavity and stripping structure so that retraction of the plunger separates the solidified material from the plunger face for automatic removal of surplus injected material after each molding cycle.
Bearing for linear guide rail
A mold box containing a bearing assembly arranged between the guide surfaces of a guide rail pillar. The bearing assembly has a bearing element that contains a main body art capable of receiving the guide rail pillar. The bearing element also has a first bearing surface and a second bearing surface that can be arranged in a common plane, parallel to the planar guide surfaces and spaced apart in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The first and second bearing surfaces are separated by an intermediary surface portion that is retracted from the common plane. Cavities formed in the bearing element are located below each of the first and second bearing surfaces, such the bearing element is provided with a resilience relative to the main body part.
Tire vulcanizer system and assembly method therefor
A tire vulcanizer system in which multiple tire vulcanizers, provided with a frame and a vulcanizing mechanism that is supported by the frame and is for vulcanizing green tires, are connected, wherein the tire vulcanizers are provided with respective alignment sections, which are provided on the respective frames and are for aligning the level positions of adjacent frames relative to each other.
Sheet-shaped mold position detection device, transfer device and transfer method
A sheet-shaped mold position detection device 183 for conveying and positioning a sheet-shaped mold M on which a fine transfer pattern M1 is formed. The sheet-shaped mold position dejection device 183 includes a sheet-shaped mold position detector 191 that detects a predetermined region of the sheet-shaped mold M by detecting transmittance of light in the sheet-shaped mold M.
