The lower curved portion of the molding tool can be coated with a gel coat having a first color. The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having a recessed bowl portion having a color different from a counter portion of the countertop.

Positioning a rotor disk between the two mold parts where the rotor disk comprises at least one annular recess. Engaging a mold core with at least a portion of each of the two mold parts. The mold core comprises at least one casting channel configured to attach at one end to a supply of plastified plastic. Inserting at least one mold insert into the at least one ring-shaped seat. A mold volume is defined by the at least one mold insert, the mold core and an edge of the at least one annular recess, wherein the mold volume is configured to fluidly connect with the at least one casting channel to receive plastified plastic to form a plastic frame.

A mold (10) for forming a tire (12) is provided that has an interchangeable element (14) configured for engaging the tire (12) and forming a section of tread (16) of the tire (12) when the tire (12) is molded by the mold (10). A lamelle (18) is removably attachable to the interchangeable element (14) and is configured for engaging the tire (12) and forming a sipe (20) of the section of tread (16) of the tire (12). The lamelle (18) is removably attachable in that the lamelle (18) is configured to be attached to the interchangeable element (14) and then removed from attachment to the interchangeable element (14).

The mould part may have a moulding surface with a primary side section, a secondary side section, and a central portion between the primary side section and the secondary side section. The mould part has a primary connection interface configured to abut a secondary connection interface of a second mould part. The primary connection interface comprises a primary connection surface substantially perpendicular to the moulding surface. The primary connection interface comprising an outlet configured to be connected to a vacuum source.

Phantom production tool

The present disclosure relates to a tool used to producing anatomical phantoms. The tool includes an inner flexible mold which sits inside a rigid, thermally conductive outer shell. The rigid shell may be made out of aluminum. The silicone mold and thermally conductive shell both include at least two interlocking components. The shell is held together by a locking mechanism which can expand upon internal pressure. An anatomical phantom is produced from polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel by freezing and thawing a PVA liquid precursor in the silicone mold and demolding it.

A method of making shear webs (16) for a wind turbine blade (10) is described. The method comprises providing an elongate male mould tool (32) having a longitudinally-extending upper mould surface (34) and a longitudinally-extending first side wall (36). A shim (40a) is provided adjacent and attached to the first side wall (36) of the mould tool (32). The shim (40a) has an inner surface (48) facing towards the first side wall (36), an outer surface (50) facing away from the first side wall (36), and an upper surface (56) defining an extension of the upper mould surface (34). A flange structure (74) is provided that comprises a flange portion and a projecting portion (78). The projecting portion (78) extends along the length of the flange portion and projects transversely from a surface of the flange portion. Fibrous reinforcing material is arranged on the upper mould surface (34). The flange structure (74) is arranged with respect to the mould tool (32) such that the projecting portion (78) at least partially overlies the upper surface (56) of the shim (40a) and the flange portion at least partially overlies the outer surface (50) of the shim (40a). The fibrous reinforcing material is integrated with the projecting portion (78) of the flange structure (74) by means of a matrix material to form the shear web (16). The shear web (16) is removed from the mould tool (32) with the shim (40a) remaining attached to the mould tool (32).
