A disposable mold core for producing a fiber-reinforced component includes a support core having a granulate and a binder. The support core has a hard shell formed of the binder and the granulate, and an inner core which is binder-free and formed of the granulate. A related method of producing a fiber-reinforced component is disclosed.

PERFLUOROPOLYETHER PHOSPHATE ESTER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND SURFACE TREATMENT AGENT COMPRISING THE SAME AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

A perfluoropolyether phosphate ester represented by the general formula:

[C.sub.3F.sub.7O{CF(CF.sub.3)CF.sub.2O}.sub.nCF(CF.sub.3)CH.sub.2O].sub.2PO(OH)

(wherein n is an integer of 1 to 20). This compound is obtained by reacting a perfluoropolyether alcohol represented by the general formula:

C.sub.3F.sub.7O{CF(CF.sub.3)CF.sub.2O}.sub.nCF(CF.sub.3)CH.sub.2OH

(wherein n is an integer of 1 to 20) with phosphorus oxychloride, and hydrolyzing the obtained compound represented by the general formula:

[C.sub.3F.sub.7O{CF(CF.sub.3)CF.sub.2O}.sub.nCF(CF.sub.3)CH.sub.2O].sub.2POCl

(wherein n is an integer of 1 to 20). Moreover, the perfluoropolyether phosphate ester or a salt thereof forms a surface treatment agent comprising the perfluoropolyether phosphate ester or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.

3D printed injection mold tool with improved heat transfer and mechanical strength

A problem exists of prohibitively high costs associated with molds for small run, legacy, or prototype injection molded parts. Further, the lead time on molds is currently on the order of about two weeks. A mold is provided that is formed from three-dimensional printing. The mold includes a series of air and/or water cooling channels to limit thermal stresses to the mold. Additionally, a series of coatings is added to the surface of a 3D printed mold to extend the lifetime of the mold and increase the performance of the mold. The coatings perform a function other than to define a shape of an injection cavity, such as improving thermal conductivity, providing a thermal barrier between the injection material and the mold body, or improving the detachment of the final mold product from the mold body.

Continuous pull three-dimensional printing

Described herein are three-dimensional (3D) printer systems and methods, which may provide for “continuous pull” 3D printing. An illustrative 3D printer includes: a resin container, a base plate, a light source arranged below the resin container and operable to cure resin in the resin container; and a control system operable to: (a) receive model data specifying a 3D structure; (b) determine 2D images corresponding to layers of the 3D object; and (c) generate control signals to operate the light source and the base plate to sequentially form the layers of the 3D object onto the base plate, wherein the base plate moves a formed portion of the 3D object upward after formation of each layer, and wherein at least a surface of a formed portion of the 3D object remains in contact with the resin in the resin container throughout the formation of the layers of the 3D object.

Method and system for feeding a lubricating or releasing agent to pressing tools of a tablet press

A method and system for feeding a lubricating or releasing agent from a dosing station to one or more pressing tools arranged in a pressing chamber of a tablet press. The tablet press is configured with a feed pipe for feeding the lubricating or release agent from the dosing station to the one or more pressing tools of a pressing chamber of the tablet press and the feed pipe is configured with a shut-off valve disposed in-line with the feed pip for controlling the flow of the lubricating or release agent to the pressing chamber. The method comprises the steps of: producing a negative pressure with respect to the surroundings of the pressing chamber of the tablet press, measuring a pressure in one of the feed pipe and the pressing chamber, and issuing a signal indicative of the measured pressure and issuing an enable signal to open a valve in response to the pressure signal.

MOLDING PROCESS FOR EASED RELEASE OF A TIRE

The invention relates to a molding process wherein a green tire is formed and then molded within a tire mold, the tire mold having one or more moving elements configured to move at least into an open configuration and a closed configuration of the tire mold. The tire mold further comprises a mold cavity, and wherein the process comprises the step of injecting one or more gases in the mold cavity after the tire was cured and before opening the tire mold to retrieve the molded tire.
