Mold Cleaning System
When cleaning a mold using a mold cleaning system, three-dimensional image data of a molding surface of the mold is acquired by a camera, movement of arms is controlled by a control device based on the acquired image data, and a laser head is moved along the molding surface while a laser beam provided from a laser oscillator is irradiated to remove contamination adhered to the molding surface. Cleaning is performed on a specific site, using a relatively small laser head, or also using a relatively large laser head, or cleaning is performed using a laser head having a variable laser irradiation width and setting an appropriate laser irradiation width for each site to be cleaned.
Method And Apparatus For Manufacturing Ophthalmic Lenses
In a method of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens, a target value for an optical property is selected (500) for the ophthalmic lens. A first mold member (400) is formed (505) for cast-molding the ophthalmic lens in combination with a second mold member. A property of the first mold member (400) is measured (510), the measured property correlating with the optical property of the ophthalmic lens. A determination (520) is made as to whether the measured property of the first mold member (400) is consistent with the target value of the optical property of the ophthalmic lens. If the measured property of the first mold member (400) is consistent with the target value of the optical property of the ophthalmic lens, the manufacture of the ophthalmic lens continues (530). If the measured property of the first mold member (400) is not consistent with the target value of the optical property of the ophthalmic lens, the first mold member (400) is discarded (540).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUSLY REFRESHING A RECOATER BLADE FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The present disclosure generally relates to additive manufacturing systems and methods involving a mechanism for feeding in a desired amount of fresh recoater blade. This can be accomplished by, for example, spooling the fresh blade material from a spool. This helps prevent work stoppage when a portion of a recoater blade becomes damaged. As such, the present disclosure also relates to a system and method for detecting whether a recoater blade is damaged, and if there is damage, then causing a fresh blade portion to be fed in.
APPARATUS FOR MOLDING A SHELL ELEMENT MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PARTICULARLY A HULL OF A BOAT, AND METHOD THEREOF
Provided is an apparatus for molding a shell hull made of composite material for a boat having a first mold part and a second mold part, each having a molding surface and adapted to be coupled to jointly define a concave molding cavity that extends longitudinally between a stern end and a bow end. The apparatus has a humidity sensor for detecting humidity at the first and/or second mold parts. A plurality of sensors, arranged in a respective plurality of detection positions on a detection surface extending over at least one of the first mold part and the second mold part, and arranged directly in contact therewith, produce signals representative of respective strains of the detection surface in directions substantially perpendicular to the detection surface.
TOOLING SYSTEM
A tooling system may comprise a tool scanner, a tool database, and a user interface device. The tool scanner may be configured to scan a tool identifier on a tool. The tool database may have tool information associated with the tool identifier. The user interface device may be in communication with the tool scanner and the tool database. The user interface device may receive tool information from the tool database in response to the scan by the tool scanner, concurrently display a tool issue description and a tool issue image from the tool information of the tool database, receive a tool area selection with respect to the tool issue image, and provide access to a tool issue history from the tool database in response to the tool area selection.
Mold Cleaning System
Provided is a mold cleaning system. When cleaning a mold, the mold cleaning system acquires three-dimensional image data of a molding surface of the mold by a camera and, on the basis of the acquired image data, the mold cleaning system controls the movement of arms using a control device, moves a laser head along the molding surface while irradiating with a laser beam supplied by a laser oscillator and, as a result, removes dirt adhered to the molding surface.
INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEM
In an injection molding system, bolt position related information recognizing unit which recognizes an attachment position of a bolt for each attachment is provided. Based on the attachment position of the bolt, or the attachment position of the bolt and a phase of the bolt stored in the bolt position storage unit, bolt attaching and detaching unit attaches and detaches the bolt to and from the attachment. Thus, even if the position of the bolt varies in accordance with the attachment, it is possible to attach and detach the bolt by recognizing the attachment position of the bolt.
Device and Method for Detecting and Removing Contaminants on a Mould for Encapsulating Electronic Components
The invention relates to a cleaning device for detecting and removing contaminants on a mould for encapsulating electronic components, especially semiconductors, including a light source for irradiating a mould surface; an optical detector for detecting irradiated contaminants on the mould surface; a moveable cleaner for removing the contaminants; and a controller for the cleaner. The invention also relates to a cleaning method for such a mould.
