METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MIXING GROW MEDIA AND ADDMIXTURES WITH A POLYMER FOR SPRAYING ONTO SURFACES FOR THE GROWING OF PLANTS AND THE MANAGEMENT OF WATER
The invention taught is a method and apparatus to mix a special polymer, hot water or other hot water material containing additives and a special mixture of dry growing substances mixed in a particular way so that they may be applied to structures such as to ceilings, walls, and any grade of vertical slants, commercial roofs, courtyards, indoor and outdoor applications. The purpose is to coat any surface and grow any plant for any reason be it erosion control, beautification of an area. The invention would help in reforestation after fires and such. This invention has a wide range of applications and so it is impossible to limit it to just one of these applications. Green parking lots and green areas that before could not be made green is just one area for the invention
Solid shape information generation system, solid shape forming apparatus, solid shape information generation method and program
There is provided a solid shape information generation system to form a solid shape object suitable to cultivate a plant. The solid shape information generation system includes a forming information generator that generates forming information to form a solid shape object used to cultivate a plant using a first material and a second material based on information representing the solid shape object and form an area where at least the plant is sown using the first material whose tensile strength is lower than that of the second material; and an output unit that outputs the forming information for a solid shape forming unit to form the solid shape object.

Horticultural substrate conditioner
A horticultural substrate conditioner includes a housing having an opening to receive a growing medium and an outlet to discharge the growing medium, a shaft arranged within the housing, the shaft rotatable relative to the housing, and a plurality of tines disposed on the shaft spaced apart from each other, the tines comprising a flexible material, wherein upon entry of a growing medium into the housing, the tines are capable of engaging the growing medium such that as the shaft rotates, the growing medium is broken apart and/or reduced in density and size to enable optimal distribution of the growing medium into a container upon discharge from the housing.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INTRODUCING SEEDS OR SEEDLINGS INTO A SUBSTRATE CORD, HAVING A SUBSTRATE CORD COVERED WITH A SHEATH, AND SYSTEM FOR CULTIVATING PLANTS WITH A SUBSTRATE CORD
A device and a method for introducing seeds or seedlings into a substrate strand, and to a substrate strand encased by a sheath, and to a system for cultivating plants using a substrate strand. The substrate strand is enclosed by a sheath, and the space enveloped by the sheath is filled with a plant substrate. Openings are introduced into the sheath at a predetermined point, through which openings the seeds or seedlings are inserted into the plant substrate. The advantage of the invention lies in substantial automation of these operations in order to increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR LINE PRODUCTION OF PLANT GROWTH MEDIUM POTS OR BAGS
A process for line production of plant growth medium pots or bags with a closed bottom end includes the steps of: i) continuously folding the free end of a continuous length of water and air permeable sheet material into a sheet material tube around and beyond a free end of a growth medium feeding tube; ii) forming a first sealing in the sheet material tube; iii) filling the sheet material tube with a measured amount of growth medium; iv) forming a second sealing in the sheet material tube; v) separating the part of the sheet material tube positioned downstream from the second sealing to form a first plant growth medium pot or bag with a closed end, repeating as needed to form a plurality of plant growth medium pots or bags.
STRAW-BASED POT BODY BLANKET SEEDLING GROWTH SUBSTRATE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A straw-based pot body blanket seedling growth substrate using straw fibres as a framework, utilising an enhancer, a retention aid and a wet strength agent as additives, and being prepared from composite decomposed livestock manure, perlite and vermiculite, the addition amount of the straw fibres being 60-70 v/v %, the addition amount of the decomposed livestock manure being 5-10 v/v %, the addition amount of the perlite being 5-10 v/v %, the addition amount of the vermiculite being 5-10 v/v %. The pot body blanket seedling growth substrate is suitable for cutting and easily implementing fully automated transplantation, is beneficial for root growth, shortens seeding growth periods, and increases seedling growth bed emergence rates. The pot body blanket seedling growth substrate may be applied to solanaceae seedling growth, and can also provide a block-shaped substrate for landscape flowers and plants in a three-dimensional arrangements.
