Method for Producing Molded Body By Compression-Molding
Problems of high impact resistance and “warpage” of a molded body are solved by a method for producing a molded body, including: using a mold MA and a mold MB, which are a pair of male and female molds, to compression-mold a material A and a material B in contact with the mold MA and the mold MB, respectively, in which the material A contains a carbon fiber and a thermoplastic resin M1, and the material B contains a glass fiber and a thermoplastic resin M2, the molded body includes a pair of side walls and a connecting wall that is connected to the side walls, the molded body has a wave shape in cross section, and a relationship between a flatness Fa of the molded body and a height h of the side wall satisfies 0≤Fa/h<1.3.
APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING COVER WINDOW AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING COVER WINDOW
An apparatus for processing cover windows includes a first mold including a first support a second support spaced apart from the first support, where the first support and second support are configured to hold processing targets; a second mold; and a third mold spaced apart from the second mold. The second mold includes a first pressurizing portion overlapping with the first support, having a first thickness, and a second pressurizing portion connected with the first pressurizing portion and configured to overlap with the first support, having a second thickness thinner than the first thickness. The third mold includes a third pressurizing portion overlapping with the second support, having a third thickness, and a fourth pressurizing portion connected with the third pressurizing portion and overlapping with the second support, having a fourth thickness thinner than the third thickness.
Imprint apparatus and article manufacturing method
An imprint apparatus that forms a pattern made of an imprint material on each of a plurality of shot regions of a substrate, includes a user interface configured to allow a user to perform editing for assigning each of the plurality of shot regions to any one of a plurality of groups such that each of the plurality of groups is formed by at least one shot region onto which the imprint material is continuously supplied from a dispenser.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOUSING, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Provided are an electronic device housing and a manufacturing method therefor, and an electronic device. The electronic device housing comprises: a housing body, wherein the housing body comprises a bottom wall and at least one side wall connected to the bottom wall, an outer surface of the bottom wall is a flat surface or a curved surface, an outer surface of the side wall is a curved surface, and at least a part of the surface of at least one of the bottom wall and the side wall is provided with a millimeter-scale three-dimensional texture.
Marine decking with sandwich-type construction and method of making same
A marine deck member and the process for forming the same. The marine deck member comprises a sandwich-type composite panel made by a compression molding process. In such a process, the panel is made by subjecting a heated stack of layers of material to cold-pressing in a mold. The cellular core has a 2-D array of cells, with end faces open to the respective layers or skins. The surface traction of this type of composite panel can be enhanced for marine deck applications by controlled debossing, or embossing, of the first skin while it cools in the compression mold. The debossing effect can be affected by applying pressurized gas, e.g., pressurized air, onto the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold. The embossing can be affected by applying vacuum pressure on the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold.
Mower cord and manufacturing method for mower cord
A manufacturing method for a mower cord and including pressing a resin wire rod and plastically deforming at least part of the wire rod in an axis perpendicular direction. Work-hardening of a surface of the plastically deformed portion allows dramatic enhancement of mowing efficiency.
Solid reagent containment unit, in particular for a portable microfluidic device for sample preparation and molecule analysis
A solid reagent containment unit is formed by a support; a frame body fixed to the support and delimiting internally, together with the support, an analysis volume; a reagent-adhesion structure within the analysis volume; and at least one reagent cavity, which extends within the reagent-adhesion structure. The reagent-adhesion structure is of an adhesion material embossable at temperatures lower by 6-8° C. than its own melting point and has a melting point such as not to interfere with the analysis. The reagent cavity forms a retention wall, laterally surrounding the reagent cavity, and houses dried reagents. The adhesion material is chosen among wax, such as paraffin, a polymer, such as polycaprolactone, a solid fat, such as cocoa butter, and a gel, such as hydrogel or organogel.
Indirect Metal Mold for Directional Dry Adhesives
The present invention provides a metal mold and the method of making the metal mold for casting directional gecko-inspired adhesives that require deep, slanted features and an undercut wedge structure. The durable metal mold can be used for high quantities. In one example, compression molding is used to mass produce the adhesives. What normally takes 24 hours to produce now with compressing molding takes 5 minutes. Compression molding allows us to increase daily production from 1 adhesive patch to thousands per day.
Method for manufacturing molded article
A method is described for manufacturing a molded product having a recessed/protruding part from a molded substrate (A) including reinforcing fibers and a matrix resin by press molding, the method comprising: a step (I) of placing the molded substrate (A) between molds including an upper mold and a lower mold and deforming the molded substrate (A) in an in-plane direction by heating and pressing the molds; and a step (II) of deforming the molded substrate (A) in an out-of-plane direction by depressurizing the molds subsequent to the step (I), wherein a deformation rate ratio T represented by the following formula (1) is within a range of 0.1 to 1:
T=X/Z (1)
where X and Z are as defined.
