FLUID RESERVOIR FOR AN AEROSOL GENERATOR AND AEROSOL GENERATOR COMPRISING THE FLUID RESERVOIR
The invention relates to a fluid reservoir (2) for an aerosol generator (50), the fluid reservoir (2) comprising a fluid chamber (4) for receiving a fluid (6), an opening (8) for guiding the fluid (6) received in the fluid chamber (4) outside the fluid chamber (4), and a collar portion (10) surrounding the opening (8) and extending into the fluid chamber (4). A first portion (12) of the fluid chamber (4) extends along the length of the collar portion (10) in a height direction (H) of the fluid chamber (4), A second portion (14) of the fluid chamber (4) is arranged adjacent to the first portion (12) in the height direction (H) of the fluid chamber (4). A lateral extension of the first portion (12) in the directions perpendicular to the height direction (H) of the fluid chamber (4) is smaller than a lateral extension of the second portion (14) in the directions perpendicular to the height direction (H) of the fluid chamber (4). Further, the invention relates to a fluid reservoir (2′) for an aerosol generator (50), the fluid reservoir (2′) comprising a fluid chamber (4′) for receiving a fluid (6′), an opening (8′) for guiding the fluid (6′) received in the fluid chamber (4′) outside the fluid chamber (4′), a recess (9) arranged at least partly below the opening (8!) in a height direction (H) of the fluid chamber (4′), and a cover member (30′) which releasably or permanently seals the recess (9). Moreover, the invention relates to an aerosol generator (50) comprising the fluid reservoir (2, 2′).
CARTRIDGE FOR AN AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEM
A cartridge for an aerosol delivery system. The cartridge includes a fluid reservoir including a first reservoir portion, a second reservoir portion, and at least one liquid barrier configured to separate the first and second reservoir portions. The first and second reservoir portions have respective first and second openings at a first end of the cartridge. The cartridge further includes a perforate membrane located at the first end of the cartridge and over the first and second openings. The first and second openings are configured to supply first and second liquids to a first side of the perforate membrane during use and the perforate membrane comprises a plurality of apertures configured to eject one or both of the first and second liquids from a second side of the perforate membrane in the form of liquid droplets when the perforate membrane is vibrated. An aerosol delivery system includes the cartridge.
Nebulization structure
A nebulization structure includes a driving element, a structure plate and a nebulization plate. The structure plate is installed on a side of the driving element, and the structure plate is substantially in a circular disc shape and has a plurality of through holes, and at least one rib is formed between adjacent through holes to define a water guide passage. The nebulization plate is clamped between the driving element and the structure plate and made of a polymer material to overcome the problems of having easy metal fatigue and embrittlement of the nebulization plate made of metal, and being corroded by corrosive liquids.
CAPSULE RETAINING SYSTEM
A holding device including a sleeve wall having an outer wall surface and an inner wall surface. The inner wall surface forms a capsule insertion channel extending through an entirety of the sleeve wall. A lip is at an end of the capsule insertion channel and extends toward a center of the capsule insertion channel. The inner wall surface has a recess at a first distance along the inner wall surface from the lip, a base extending outward from the outer wall surface of the sleeve wall; and a flexible retaining element in the recess. The recess being configured to prevent movement of the flexible retaining element along the inner wall. The flexible retaining element having a cross-sectional profile with a first width at a side closer to the lip, and a second width at a side farther from the lip, the first width being larger than the second width.
BUCCAL ADMINISTRATION OF AEROSOL
A nebulizer device has an aerosol generator mounted in a housing, and a mouthpiece. The device is adapted for delivery of an active agent in an aerosol into the buccal cavity, with droplet size greater than 10 μm. Aerosolization is started at or after the end of breath inhalation and is stopped at or before the start of breath inhalation. The flow is via mouthpiece with internal ridges which periodically narrow the flow path volume to so that droplets coalesce in the flow path before the mesh.
ELECTRONIC SMOKING DEVICE AND CAPSULE
A capsule (6) contains a liquid (28) to be supplied to an atomizer (20) and is mounted on or in an electronic smoking device (1). The capsule (6) has a controller (40) including a memory, which receives data from and transmits data to control electronics (14) of the electronic smoking device (1). A capacitor in the capsule (6) is charged by the electronic smoking device (1) and powers the controller (40) during intermediate intervals. Electrical contacts (26, 48) of the capsule are connected to electrical contacts (24, 46) of the electronic smoking device (1) to charge the capacitor and exchange data.
Respiratory therapy filter, flow control, and patient interface apparatuses, systems, and methods
A nebulizer assembly for a respiratory device is provided having a housing defining a chamber. The housing also has a nebulizer port configured to receive a nebulizer to discharge atomized medication into the chamber. An outlet of a handle is coupled to the inlet of the housing. A hose is coupled to an inlet of the handle. A patient interface is coupled to the outlet of the housing. Air flows from the hose to the patient interface via the handle and the housing. The air mixes with the atomized medication within the chamber.
Drug Delivery Apparatus
A personalized drug delivery apparatus comprising drug containing means; a spout configured to receive full lung exhalation; a mechanism configured to determine a personalized drug dosage according to the exhalation, the spout further configured to enable inhalation of the determined dosage.
Electronic cigarette
An electronic cigarette includes a shell and a mouthpiece. The external wall of the shell has an air inlet. An atomizer and a liquid-supply are in contact with each other. The air inlet, atomizer, and an aerosol passage are interconnected.
