Sound insulating sheet material with a cellular structure including gelatine and/or a process for producing the same
A composition for producing a sheet material with a cellular structure, the composition including the following components: (a) about 5 to about 25 weight % gelatine, (b) about 25 to 60 weight % filler material, (c) about 15 to about 40 weight % water, and (d) a cellular structure promoting agent.
Polymeric material for container
A formulation for producing a polymeric material including polypropylene, a chemical blowing agent, and optional components as described.

METHODS OF MANUFACTURING FOAMS COMPRISING NANOCELLULAR DOMAINS
A composition and method for making polymeric foam comprising nanocellular domains is provided. The nanocellular domains in the polymeric foam increase the R-value of the polymeric foam product and improve thermal insulation performance. The polymeric foam having the nanocellular domains may be formed using a carbon dioxide-based blowing agent. The polymeric foam having the nanocellular domains can be produced on production-scale equipment in amounts suitable for large-scale applications.
Skinned panel and method of molding thereof
A skinned panel for stably molding a thin skin material and a molding method thereof. An extruding device is configured to extrude a pair of multilayered resin sheets, each of which has a lamination structure of an inner layer made of a foamed resin and an outer layer made of a non-foamed resin that is changed into a skin material of a sandwich panel as a skinned panel. The pair of the resin sheets is abutted to the circumferential part of the pair of the split molds for producing sealed spaces. The sealed spaces are sucked for pressing the pair of the resin sheets onto cavities of the pair of the split molds. Accordingly, the pair of the resin sheets is formed in a shape substantially identical to the outline of the sandwich panel.

COMPOSITE POLYSTRYRENE PROFILE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH PROFILES
A composite polystyrene profile extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end and comprising a front surface and a back surface, comprising a. a core portion comprising a polystyrene monopolymer foam extending in the longitudinal direction, the core portion comprising polystyrene foam with a density of the range of 160 kg/m.sup.3 to 240 kg/m.sup.3.; and b. a skin portion or layer comprising/consisting of a (high impact) polystyrene copolymer and surrounding the core portion at least in the longitudinal direction, with a density in the range of 700 kg/m.sup.3 to 1300 kg/m.sup.3.; wherein the polystyrene profile comprises a combined density within the range of 200 to 360 kg/m.sup.3.; and the skin portion comprises a non-uniform thickness in a transversal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction; and associated method of manufacturing these profiles.
Closure for a product-retaining container
A synthetic closure for a product-retaining container is constructed for being inserted and securely retained in a portal-forming neck of said container, said closure comprising at least a core member comprising at least one cycloolefin-based copolymer.

Method of making a panel
A method is provided for manufacturing a seamless, reinforced panel of any desired length using a single mold. The seamless panels of the present invention may be used in a variety of construction application. In one embodiment, the method includes inserting at least a portion of a plurality of lattice trusses into a mold having an axial length, inserting a first filler material into the mold, the first filler material encapsulating at least a portion of the plurality of lattice trusses to form a panel segment, translating the panel segment a linear distance, the linear distance less than the axial length of the mold such that a portion of the panel segment remains in the mold, and inserting a second filler material into the mold, the second filler material intermixing with the portion of the panel segment remaining in the mold to form a seamless panel.
