The present disclosure relates to drug administration. In an exemplary embodiment, a system can include a drug administration device configured to dispense a drug to a patient, a monitoring device configured to log a delivery event of drug delivery from the drug administration device into the patient, and a sensor configured to sense a patient parameter following delivery of the drug into the patient. In another exemplary embodiment, a drug administration device can include a drug holder configured to hold a drug, a dispensing mechanism configured to dispense the drug, and a sensor configured to sense a patient parameter, and the drug administration device can be configured to locally activate the drug at a target location in the patient. In another exemplary embodiment, methods, devices, and systems are provided to assess when operation of a drug dispensing mechanism is complete and to confirm whether drug administration was successful.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE INCORPORATING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTAMINATION PROTECTION, POWER SOURCE MANAGEMENT, POWER SOURCE MONITORING, AND/OR POWER SOURCE OPERATION
The present disclosure relates to a drug administration device configured to administer a drug. In an exemplary embodiment the drug administration device includes a housing including first and second housing electrical contacts, a dispensing mechanism, a drug holder, a removable power supply including first and second power supply electrical contacts, and at least one protection mechanism in a first protecting configuration when the removable power supply is not received within the housing and in a second configuration when the removable power supply is received within the housing. In another exemplary embodiment the drug administration device includes a housing, a dispensing mechanism disposed within the housing, a removable power supply that is configured to be received within the housing, a sensor configured to determine remaining charge of the removable power supply, and a processor configured to modify operation of the drug administration device in response to data produced by the sensor.
NASAL DRUG DELIVERY APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A nasal droplet delivery device and related methods for delivering precise and repeatable dosages to a subject via the nasal passageways and sinus cavities.
INHALER
An actuator for a metered-dose inhaler is provided. The actuator comprises a body for receiving a canister and a metering valve, and a mouthpiece through which aerosolised canister content can be dispensed.
Containers for aerosol-generating devices
A container for an aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a first compartment being sealed and tubular, and including a nicotine source; a second compartment being sealed and tubular, and including a delivery enhancing compound; and a transfer section disposed between the first compartment and the second compartment, at least one of the first compartment and the second compartment including a recessed end, and the transfer section being formed by a recess when one end of the first compartment abuts one end of the second compartment.
AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A mouthpiece for an aerosol provision system. The mouthpiece includes at least one aerosol outlet channel for delivering an aerosol to a user of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece includes at least one thermal element for controlling the temperature of a portion of the mouthpiece. The portion may include an exterior surface of the mouthpiece, and the thermal element may be configured for heating and cooling the portion of the mouthpiece. In this way, the thermal element may allow for thermal feedback to be provide to the user, such as to their mouth, lips, or tongue whilst they are operating the aerosol provision system.
Adjustable dosing delivery and multi sectioned drug compartment
A device is provided for delivering a predetermined volume of at least one substance within a body cavity of a subject. The device contains a) a capsule for containing the predetermined volume of substances; b) a delivery end, having at least one orifice of diameter D, for placement in proximity to the body cavity; c) a valve mechanically connectable to the capsule, having at least two configurations: (i) an active configuration in which the valve enables delivery of the substances; and (ii) an inactive configuration, in which the valve prevents delivery of the substances from the capsule to the body cavity; and d) a fluid tight chamber configured to contain predetermined volume V.sub.gas of pressurized gas at a predetermined pressure, P.sub.gas. The capsule further contains at least one mixing mechanism that mixes the substances and the pressurized gas after the valve is reconfigured to the active configuration.
Aerosol precursor composition mixing system for an aerosol delivery device
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery device filling system. The system includes multiple source containers each respectively including a differing aerosol precursor composition. The system further includes a mixing container configured to engage the source containers to receive and mix the aerosol precursor compositions to form a mixed aerosol precursor composition. An aerosol delivery device may engage the mixing container to receive at least a portion of the mixed aerosol precursor composition. A related method for customizing an aerosol precursor composition is also provided.
AUTOMATIC DETECTION TRIGGER DEVICE FOR QUANTITATIVE COMPRESSED ADMINISTRATION AEROSOL
The present invention relates to the technical field of an automatic detection trigger device, and discloses an automatic detection trigger device for a quantitative compressed administration aerosol. The automatic detection trigger device for the quantitative compressed administration aerosol includes a main machine body, wherein the main machine body consists of a main machine front cover, a main machine rear cover, a battery module and a driving assembly; the driving assembly includes a driving control module and a driving gear module; a charging port is formed at an outer side of the main machine front cover; a limiting pedestal is clamped at a bottom end of the main machine front cover; and an aerosol medicine is fixedly mounted at the bottom of an inner cavity of the main machine front cover. The automatic detection trigger device for the quantitative compressed administration aerosol detects an inspiration flow rate of a user in a medicine inhaling process through a flow sensor arranged in the driving assembly. When the inspiration flow rate reaches an ideal threshold, the device drives the aerosol to spray a medicine, and the medicine sprayed by the aerosol enters a lower respiratory tract such as a lung along with airflow, so that the problem of hand-mouth synchronous operation is solved, and the utilization rate of the medicine is greatly increased.
INTRANASAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND PROCESS
Provided herein are intranasal fluid delivery devices and apparatus comprising a dispensing tip a shot chamber carrying a fluid, the shot chamber having a diaphragm at one end and a plunger at the other end, and an actuator connected to a push rod moveable toward the shot chamber.
