SEALING ELEMENT
A sealing element for a molding machine comprises a base body with an inner receptacle wherein the base body is provided with a venting duct to connect an inner receptacle of the sealing element with an outer surface thereof.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN INTERIOR TRIM PART OF A VEHICLE AND MOLDING TOOL
A molding tool and method for producing an interior trim part. A cavity is embodied between a first element and a second element, and a slide is displaceably connected to the first element. A decorative layer is arranged on the first element and a backing is arranged on the second element. A foamable mixture is added to the hollow area between the backing and a reverse side of the decorative layer, such that a foam layer fills the hollow area. A distance between the first element and the second element is increased to enlarge the hollow area. During this process, the slide is pressed against a side facing away from the reverse side of the decorative layer, such that the hollow area is sealed with the reverse side of the decorative layer pressed against a lateral surface of the backing and/or against a lateral surface of the second element.

Foam and method of forming foam
A method for making a foam component is provided and includes inserting a foam material into a cavity of a mold having a top plate and a bottom plate, heating the foam material to cause the foam material to expand, and moving one of the top plate and the bottom plate relative to the other of the top plate and the bottom plate as the foam material expands and contacts the one of the top plate and the bottom plate to cause the foam material to fold over on itself within the cavity.
OPENING/CLOSING APPARATUS AND MOLDING APPARATUS
There is provided an opening/closing apparatus which can eliminate the influence of a slight gap formed between a bush and a pin in a link connecting portion of a toggle link mechanism and, in addition, can enhance workability e.g mold replacement,
An opening/closing apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a fixed platen 20 to which one mold 21 of a pair of molds is to be mounted; a movable platen 22 to which the other mold 23 is to be mounted; a pressure-receiving platen 24 connected to the fixed platen 20 via tie bars 36; an opening/closing mechanism for opening/closing the molds by moving the movable platen 22 back and forth, including a toggle link mechanism 28 connecting the pressure-receiving platen 24 and the movable platen 22; a first drive mechanism for driving the opening/closing mechanism; and a second drive mechanism 50 for applying a load to the movable platen 22 in a given direction in conjunction with the first drive mechanism.
IN-MOLD FOAM MOLDED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME, AND MOLD FOR USE IN FORMING THE SAME
An in-mold foam molded article has a foam body made from olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads and an insert member having an elongated connecting portion and movement resisting portions provided apart from one another in the elongated connecting portion. The insert member is subjected to insert molding upon in-mold foam molding using the olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads. The foam body has a movement facilitating structure that facilitates relative movement between the insert member and the foam body during shrinkage of the in-mold foam molded article after release from a mold.

Molded rotatable base for a porous pad
A rotatable base for a porous pad has openings that provide for improved flow distribution of a liquid in the base across a substrate. The rotatable base can be molded from a two piece mold and the openings can have draft angles to facilitate the molding process.
STEERING WHEEL
A steering wheel includes a core and a foamed polyurethane coating that covers a ring section of the core. The foamed polyurethane coating is formed by foam molding of a polyurethane material containing 91 parts by mass of a base polyol, 10 to 25 parts by mass of a pigment, 1 to 3 parts by mass of a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorber, 0.8 to 2.5 parts by mass of a hindered amine photostabilizer, and a polyisocyanate. A total amount of the ultraviolet absorber and the photostabilizer is 2.7 parts by mass or more. The foamed polyurethane coating is in the form of an integral skin foam including a highly foamed core foam and a lowly foamed skin layer. The surface of the skin layer is not provided with a coating film formed from a coating material, and serves as a product surface that assumes a color of the pigment.
