Unitary biochip providing sample-in to results-out processing and methods of manufacture
A biochip for the integration of all steps in a complex process from the insertion of a sample to the generation of a result, performed without operator intervention includes microfluidic and macrofluidic features that are acted on by instrument subsystems in a series of scripted processing steps. Methods for fabricating these complex biochips of high feature density by injection molding are also provided.
Angle gating injection molding apparatus
An angle gating injection molding apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a gate axis misaligned with a cone axis of a nozzle tip.
METHOD OF MAKING A TWO-COMPONENT PISTON, INJECTION MOLD FOR A TWO-COMPONENT PISTON, TWO-COMPONENT PISTON AND CARTRIDGE
A method of making a two-component piston, the two-component piston including a piston cover as the first component and a piston body as the second component. The piston cover is arranged adjacent to the piston body and is configured to be moved relative to the piston body.
Wafer level transfer molding and apparatus for performing the same
A method includes placing a package structure into a mold chase, with top surfaces of device dies in the package structure contacting a release film in the mold chase. A molding compound is injected into an inner space of the mold chase through an injection port, with the injection port on a side of the mold chase. During the injection of the molding compound, a venting step is performed through a first venting port and a second venting port of the mold chase. The first venting port has a first flow rate, and the second port has a second flow rate different from the first flow rate.
Toothed shafts for installation into hollow shafts with internal toothings in telescopic fashion
A toothed shaft can be installed in a hollow shaft that has an internal toothing such that the toothed shaft is coupled in a positively locking fashion so as to be telescopic in a direction of a longitudinal axis. The toothed shaft may include a toothing region with teeth on an outer circumference and extending in an axial direction. In the toothing region a shaft core may be overmolded by way of an injection molding process with a sliding coating comprised of thermoplastic material. The sliding coating may have at least three impressions, with each of the at least three impressions featuring an aperture that extends through the sliding coating to a surface of the shaft core.
Plastic closure part with severable membrane
The invention concerns a plastic closure part (10) which can be fixed to a container or a further closure part to be fixed to the container, comprising a tubular discharge portion (3) whose cross-section is closed by a membrane (7) which has a tear line (8) extending peripherally over more than 180° along its outer edge and a corresponding method for the production of such a closure. In order to develop a closure part having the features set forth in the opening part of this specification and a method for the production thereof to the effect that the problems occurring upon injection moulding due to narrow flow passages are eliminated it is provided according to the invention that the tear line (8) is formed by a cut introduced into the material of the membrane (7) with a cutting or punching tool.
Vehicular resin molded article
A vehicular resin molded article is formed by solidifying a molten resin filled in a cavity of an injection mold and having a concave gate mark formed by a valve pin and remaining thereon in which L/T is 190 or more where L is a flow distance of the molten resin from the gate mark to a filling terminal and T is a maximum thickness. When the valve pin is moved to the cavity side and is pressed against the molten resin, since the contact area of a tip end portion with respect to the molten resin in the vehicular resin molded article increases and the temperature of the tip end portion in the valve pin tends to decrease, the portion of the vehicular resin molded article where the valve pin is pressed against is sufficiently solidified and string drawing or silver streak is less likely to occur.
RESIN MOLDED COMPONENT, BATTERY PACK, AND INSPECTION METHOD FOR RESIN MOLDED COMPONENT
There is provided a resin molded component that is injection molded, the resin molded component including an outer surface portion on which a gate mark is formed, and an inner surface portion that is on a side opposite to the outer surface portion and has a fracture mark of resin formed.
MOLDED BODY AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
The molded body according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a molded body obtained by molding resin and used by allowing light to pass through the resin. This molded body includes: a plurality of gate marks each being as a mark of a gate through which the resin was injected during the molding; and a weld part disposed in such a manner as to avoid a position where the light passes through the resin.
SEMICONDUCTOR MODULE CASE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEMICONDUCTOR MODULE CASE
A semiconductor module case formed by injection molding into a box shape using a mold open on a bottom thereof, includes an external terminal disposed on a top face or a side face of the case, the external terminal penetrating through the case from an inside to an outside thereof and being electrically connectable to a semiconductor element inside of the case, and a single first gate for a resin to enter the case. The case has a rectangular shape in a plan view of the case and has first and second short sides and first and second long sides, and the first gate is disposed at a side face of the first short side and has a flat surface area having a first width that extends along the first short side in a width direction of the case.
