A method for producing a molded product 70 involves the use of a mold 40 including a cavity 44 to which a molding material is supplied and an intercepting member 45 capable of moving back and forth within the cavity 44. The method comprises an interception step for moving the intercepting member 45 into the cavity 44 and an injection step for injecting the molding material into the cavity 44. During the injection step, the intercepting member 45 is used to regulate the flow of the molding member inside the cavity 44 at the initial stage of the injection. The intercepting member is thereafter pulled into the mold 40.

SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING AT LEAST ONE THREE-DIMENSIONAL ELEMENT ON AN EXTERNAL PART ELEMENT OF A TIMEPIECE

VERTICAL INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE, AND METHOD OF MOLDING COMPOSITE MOLDED PARTS BY USING VERTICAL INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE

A vertical injection molding machine has a rotary table rotatably in an axial direction as a vertical direction, lower molds on an upper surface of the rotary table, and an upper mold for opening and closing the lower molds, and opening and closing mold in a vertical direction. The vertical injection molding machine has a robot mounted on the lower molds on the plane surface part of the fiber resin base material and a heater for heating the fiber resin base material mounted on the lower molds, and when the plane surface part of the fiber resin base material facing the lower molds is defined as a lower surface, and an opposite surface being defined as an upper surface, an upper and a lower directions of the fiber resin base material is matched to a mold opening and closing direction of the upper mold and the lower molds.

Method for manufacturing an electromechanical structure and an arrangement for carrying out the method

A method for manufacturing an electromechanical structure, including producing conductors on a flat film; estimating a strain a plurality of locations of the flat film will undergo during formation thereof into a three-dimensional film; attaching electronic elements on the flat film at selected locations of the plurality of locations of the flat film, wherein the estimated strain of the selected locations of the plurality of locations is less than the estimated strain in other locations of the plurality of locations; forming the flat film into the three-dimensional film; and injection molding material on the three-dimensional film.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPONENT FROM DIFFERENT MATERIALS, AND COMPONENT AND USE THEREFOF

A method may be used to produce a component that includes at least two different materials. The method may involve providing a hardenable planar or preformed steel sheet or steel profile, completely or partially heating the steel sheet or steel profile to the austenitic temperature, inserting the heated steel sheet or steel profile into a first tool for hot forming and/or press hardening the steel sheet or steel profile to give a completely or partially hardened steel workpiece. In the course of the hot forming and/or press hardening at least one jog is made in the steel sheet or the steel profile. The jog may serve for fastening at least one second material thereto.”

An insert member (100) heated by a heating device (13) is conveyed, by means of a conveyance device (12), into a mold (51). Next, shaping is performed on the insert member (100) inside the mold (51), with the mold (51) being open by a minute distance. A molding material (91) is injected into the mold (51) and pressed while closing the mold (51) which has been open by the minute distance to thereby mold a molded article (80) including the insert member (100).

Methods to increase structural performance, strength and durability of fabric-reinforced composite materials by pre-stressing

Methods to increase structural performance, strength, and durability of textile-reinforced composite materials are provided. The textile reinforcement may be knitted, for example, in a flat bed weft knitting machine. The method may include pre-stressing a textile reinforcement preform by applying tension. A polymeric precursor may be introduced to the pre-stressed textile reinforcement preform. The polymeric precursor may then be cured or consolidated, followed by releasing of the applied tension to form the composite article comprising polymer and the pre-stressed textile reinforcement. In other aspects, a composite article is provided that has a pre-stressed textile reinforcement structure and a cured polymer. The textile reinforcement may be a knitted, lightweight, seamless, unitary structure. The knitted reinforcement structure may have distinct first and second knitted regions with different levels of pre-stress, thus providing enhanced control over strength, rigidity, and flexibility of the composite article.

A composite structure comprising a resinous component that is adhered to a surface of a metal component is provided. The resinous component is formed from a polymer composition that comprises a polyarylene sulfide, inorganic fibers, and an impact modifier. The inorganic fibers have an aspect ratio of from about 1.5 to about 10.

EXPANDABLE, RESIN FILLED FASTENER, FASTENER SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR COMPOSITE STRUCTURES

A fastener for improved electrical contact with a composite structure and improved distribution of electric current to the composite structure. The fastener includes an elongated shaft having a first end with a head portion, a second end with a threaded portion, and a shaft body therebetween. At least one feed channel extends from an opening at the threaded portion, through the shaft body, and terminates proximal to the head portion. The shaft body radially expands upon pressure injection of a resin filler into the feed channel, when the fastener is installed in a corresponding fastener hole formed in the composite structure. Upon radially expanding, the outer surface of the shaft body makes contact with an inner hole surface of the corresponding fastener hole, resulting in the fastener providing electrical contact with the composite structure and providing distribution of electric current.
